I had stem cell treatment on my left knee, last month (August 2021). I’m on week 3 and have little to no pain. The treatment, itself, was the best experience I have EVER had from a dr office!! After I was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in both knees several years ago I knew I didnt want risky replacement surgery so I began looking for some place that did stem cell treatments. I received stem cell injections for my badly deteriorated right knee, by Dr. O’Donnell and his team eleven months ago. I have appreciated the IOBX Clinic’s support and regular checking on my progress throughout the procedure and healing process. Shortly after the stem cell booster treatment, I began Physical Therapy to help regain strength. I have made remarkable improvement. The pain that I experienced prior to the procedure has all but diminished. The quality of life is drastically better, walking is easier with less dependence upon a cane. First off, Dr. ODonnell and his crew rock the house. After I failed Knee replacement surgery in 2019, I came to iOBX to find out about stem cell therapy for my other knee. The consultation with the doc and his crew was extensive and completely thorough. Doc said I was a great candidate for stem cell in my left knee so we moved forward with the procedure. The service is truly concierge. I felt as if I were the only patient and I may have been on treatment day. Between Dr. ODonnell and Haley, everything was explained in detail and happened for me as expected. On the treatment day I spent a lot of time with the anesthesiologist, James B. Goode. In November 2016, I tore my right rotator cuff playing basketball. My occupation is a Tennis Pro at Tims Tennis USA. When I went in for a consultation with my Veterans Administration surgeon, I was told that after conventional surgery I may need to change my career. I have been in the iOBX office three times (once for consultation; once for procedure; once for booster) with my dad. Everyone in the office is professional and courteous. They take all the time that is needed to explain procedures. Haley is especially kind, warm, and funny, too. Dr. ODonnell gave me regular reports about my dads progress. They provide beverages and even a meal for loved ones who are waiting. I hope I am going to be able to nurse my rotator cuff back to health, but if I need an intervention, Ill definitely be going back to iOBX.

Google limits the size of these reviews, so I will cover the most important points.I sought Stem Cell treatment at iOBX for Posterior Tibial Tendon problems in lieu of surgery. I am pleased with my results; therefore, I highly recommend iOBX. As a direct result of the treatments, my quality of life has improved tremendously. I received the initial Stem Cell treatment in November 2020 and the booster in January 2021. It has been almost six months since my stem Cell booster. Compared to how my ankle/foot felt prior to the treatment, booster, and physical therapy (PT), so far, my condition has improved about 75%.I had suffered with Posterior Tibial Tendon problems in my left ankle and foot for at least five years. A podiatrist was treating me with Cortisone shots, custom orthotic insoles in my shoes, and ankle braces. The issue was getting progressively worse. The podiatrist wanted to perform surgery. I sought a 2nd opinion from an orthopedic specialist/surgeon, and he also wanted to perform surgery. The surgeries would be serious, and the recovery period would be long. The surgeries the doctors mentioned included: posterior tibial tendon repair with graft; subtalar joint replacement; accessory navicular bone excision; gastrocnemius recession; medial displacement Calcaneal Osteotomy; cotton osteotomy; and FDL transfer.Prior to the Stem Cell treatments, I had varying degrees of ankle/foot pain almost constantly. My quality of life was bad and getting worse all the time. I had to plan my life around how long I would be on my feet and/or how much walking would be involved in whatever activity I was planning to do. I recently retired, and I dealt with the condition for several years prior to my retirement and it did not improve after retirement. I was limping a lot, even when having a leisurely day at home. Standing, going for walks, shopping, housework, climbing stairs, etc., caused ankle/foot pain.Dr. O’Donnell performed both the initial Stem Cell treatment and the booster. About a month and a half after the booster, I started PT to strengthen my ankle and foot. The PT helped a lot, and I recommend that everyone have PT after their Stem Cell treatment.Since I’ve had the Stem Cell treatments and PT, my quality of life is just right for my lifestyle. My lifestyle is not strenuous; I don’t run marathons, hike or play sports. Now, I don’t have to plan my life around my left ankle/foot pain. I can do housework, shop, take a leisurely walk, etc. If I have a leisurely day at home, my pain is 0. Before the procedures, I would be limping around the house even on a leisurely day. Now, I can shop in a store for a few hours without ankle/foot pain. Before the procedure, when grocery shopping even for a few minutes, I would lean on the buggy trying to ease my ankle/foot pain.I do have limitations; here are some examples. I don’t do jumping jacks, use a treadmill, or jog, that puts too much stress on my ankle/foot and causes pain. If I were to walk around a store or do housework for 6 + hours, I will have ankle/foot pain. If I walk up and down stairs many times within an hour, I will have ankle/foot pain. As long as I keep the physical activity involving my left ankle/foot within reason and not too strenuous, I am fine.Thanks to Dr. O’Donnell and the excellent staff at iOBX, I now have a great quality of life. For my situation, the Stem Cell treatment was the right solution. It is not a miracle cure, and my left ankle/foot does not feel brand new, but for me, the results are exactly what I needed and hoped for.

Even if I didn’t have the procedure my experience was so good, the staff the doctor were all so kind. Because of insurance reasons and other problems I could not have it done but wanted to try it anyways but I ended up having my hip replaced. I would recommend this group to anyone.

My husband and I were very happy with our experience at IOBX principally with Haley and Dr. O’Donnell. Im 76 years old, and last year went fishing out West and completely overdid things re my right shoulder: hurt to do anything with the shoulder: brush my teeth, drive a car, play golf, flyfish, pour water even.Not wanting to go under the knife for obvious reasons, I embarked on a program of physical therapy for six weeks, the result being no real change in pain and discomfort levels, in spite of both the PT people and myself going hard at it for those six weeks.Next I researched acupuncturists, selected the best I could find for my particular issue, and went to them religiously for, Ill say a month or so. I traveled to North Carolina to have Dr Tucker perform a stem cell procedure on my spine after his facility had been highly recommended. Due to the complexity of the spinal column, I was ,of course, concerned about any procedure & complications that could ensue. I believe choosing this procedure vs surgery for a bulging disk, a torn disc & damage in the spine from arthritis was a wise decision. I first met Dr. Tucker and his team with a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus. Before meeting with them, his team put in a lot of work to locate old records of my cochlear implants to determine if I could have an MRI, one of which was no longer available. Using the technology permitted, Dr. Tucker determined I was a good candidate for the stem cell procedure. Dr. Tucker was thorough in his explanation of how they would procure my stem cells and inject them into the sites. Alyssa actually shared a very heartwarming illustration with me of how the stem cells flowed into my knee, as she watched the healing process begin on the screen! Following a brief time for observation, I was discharged. It was less stressful for me because it was not as invasive as the surgery would have been, and I was awake for it.Dr. O’Donnell, the PA, and the staff were efficient, effective, caring and a breath of fresh air compared to normal physician visits. They were also punctual, so there were no extensive wait times as often occurs at most doctor’s offices, and more importantly, they were consummate professionals. It was reassuring to know the PA was always just a phone call away during the healing and recovery process.It has been 5 weeks since the procedure, and my hands and fingers have recovered nicely. My experience at iOBX has been very rewarding and worthwhile. The entire staff has always been caring and helpful. They didnt give up on me when my body didnt respond well at first. In March of 2018 I had extensive stem cell treatment done by Dr. Jason Tucker at iOBX. My right shoulder had become almost useless to the extent I could hardly swing a golf club. On Feb 24, I had a bad skiing accident. On March 24, I found out that I had a torn ACL, a torn MCL and a torn meniscus. The orthopedic surgeon wasn’t optimistic about how well surgery would work given my age (51) and suggested that two of the tears might heal on their own so perhaps learning how to live without my ACL might be the best option.I have been an athlete and active my entire life, and I have two young kids. I came to iOBX 2 months ago for severe pain in my right knee. I had been getting cortisone shots regularly, but these stopped working and my orthopedist told me that knee replacement was my only option. I was not looking forward to the prospect of surgery. Yesterday I had my booster stem cell procedure on my knee. I can’t thank everyone enough for how well they’ve treated me with my first procedure in December and now this one. I had severe arthritis in my left knee and had been getting orthovisc injections for several years without significant improvement. I have been diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in both hips and looking for alternatives to hip replacement. I am a 28 year old Olympic hopeful for 2021, and I am so grateful that I found iOBX. I am a javelin thrower and need to train daily to stay in the best shape possible. I am a very active 53 year old. I have played sports and remained fit for most of my life. I never expected to have a shoulder injury that would slow me down. I have several friends with the same injury and that had typical surgery. They all went through lots of pain and a lengthy physical therapy process. Since my stem cell procedure using bone marrow and fat stem cells, my recovery has been quick. The PT was easy, and not that intense. I feel 100% better compared to prior to my treatment. I can now sleep on my right side at night without pain which is something I was not able to do prior to treatment. I could not lift my right arm without pain. This place is great. I had procedure of meniscus treatment done on Friday, October 9 by Dr. Odonnell and PA Haley Johnson and was so impressed with their friendly help thru the whole procedure. The procedure for me was nearly painless and the results have been excellent. I have followed the directions given in a pamphlet before starting the procedure as instructed and am now back for my 3 week check up and feeling great. Everyone will have their individual recovery and may not be as pain free as mine. Their will be a little soreness but my pain from my torn meniscus has been relieved and I feel great with my results. I was seeing an Orthopedic Doctor about my shoulder, an MRI had confirmed multiple tears. He was recommending surgery, as the shoulder was not improving with physical therapy. I did a lot of research and decided to try Stem Cell Therapy. I talked to my Orthopedic Doctor and he agreed it was worth a try. The process at IOBX was great. The ultra sounds they performed confirmed the tears and identified a large amount of calcium build up on my tendons. I am an active 62 year old who has been playing competitive tennis for 50 years and have had knee issues for at least 20 of those years. After having several meniscectomies (fairly successful if not long lasting) I decided to try stem cell procedures for each knee. After doing a fair amount of research, I decided that iOrtho looked to have the most scientific and serious approach to stem cell treatment and I after attending the informational meeting and talking with Dr. Tucker and Elissa, I was convinced this was the best way to proceed. I really wanted to try get back to playing tennis without the constant knee pain and down time. However, before my first knee procedure, I managed to badly tear my left Achilles tendon, and after a consultation session, became confident that a stem cell procedure on my ankle would be the better alternative to surgery. My experience at iOBX couldnt have went better. I had both shoulders treated 3 months apart. The facility is top notch and everyone is always very helpful. I did my initial consult by phone which was very convenient since I live 3 hours from Charlotte. I met Dr Tucker 2 weeks later at which time I was given a thorough exam and was introduced to his staff. We discussed all options and I was sent home with a package describing all the procedures as well as everything I would need to do before and after the procedure. My 14yo son had a significant tear of his meniscus (multiple locations) from wrestling. Everything from consult through treatment was fantastic. When I first visited the Center for my consultation I was impressed. I especially liked how their 3 step process was done all at the Center instead of an outpatient facility. The fact that they counted my stem cells to ensure they were viable cells was also a big factor for me. Very friendly staff that made me feel comfortable. There is a delayed gratification affect with these stem cells so you shouldn’t expect results right away. They gave me a great recommendation for PT which was really helpful when things did start to feel better. They also gave me special attention when it came to my brace fitting! I had a very severe case of right knee osteoarthritis from an old jogging injury. I had my first Stem Cell treatment in December 2019 and my “stemish” treatment in February. I had minimal meniscus to replenish so it would naturally take longer. I still have some stiffness in the morning and when I sit to long, but I am back out walking my dog (2+ miles) a day. Would only have Dr Tucker perform. His staff is wonderful.

My name is Waverley and I got my hip and knee treated in December and in March I got my back treated. I thought Dr. Tucker and the staff were very special. In my late fifties the pain in my right knee had become unbearable and my leg was noticeably bowed. The Orthopedist that I saw said that the only way to relieve the pain and straighten my leg was a complete knee replacement. The thought of that horrified me. My first injury was a torn meniscus from playing football in high school. Over the years I had 3 surgeries on frayed edges of meniscus, etc to relieve pain. Then arthritis set in and began to eat away at the cartilage until I had bone on bone. The pain was constant and it would give out on me while doing normal daily activities on the job and at home. I’m now over 3 years from my stem cell treatment at iOBX and wanted to share my story. I am an avid runner with over 21 marathons completed. I tore my meniscus in July of 2016, surprisingly I was not running at the time. Around that same time I injured my hip as well. I was unable to walk more than a few hundred feet or sit with my leg bent without pain. I underwent the stem cell procedure in late December 2016 for my hip and knee. I was diagnosed as having no cartilage in my right ankle, and some loss in both Knees.In addition I had soreness in my shoulders.Played many sports all my life, fortunately never injured any joint, pain is a result of age (75) and arthritis.I am not a fan of joint replacement. I know several people who have had both knees replaced, and while most agree there is substantially less pain, they have limitations on their range of motion.Ankle replacements are currently not as advanced and were not recommended.Having heard about stem cell therapy, i did research on line and found Dr Tucker and IOBX. I have an allergy to metals and did not want to undergo a Total Knee Replacement. My knee joint was bone on bone so there were few options available from my Orthopedist. I had a Stem Cell procedure done on my shoulder using a combination of bone marrow and adipose (Elite Stem Restore). The entire procedure/process, from when I walked in the door to the weeks following the procedure, went exactly as the folks at iOBX described it would. I had no post-procedure issues at all and feel like I’m making improvements every day. I cant even imagine going the route of traditional surgery, especially after my time with iOBX. I have had several iOBX Stem Cell procedures performed. In total, I have had five of these over the years and overall I am pleased. They all worked better than I expected with the exception of the lower back. I went into that procedure knowing the stakes since I have had the problem for over 20 years and there was not much that could be done there by anyone in my opinion. I believe that Stem Cell treatment beats surgery by a long shot where it is appropriate. I plan on having another bone marrow derived treatment this fall on a different area.

I visited Dr.Tucker at IOBX with multiple problems. I had issues with my shoulder ,hand,wrist and fingers. For the past 25 years, I’ve contended with assorted back pain of varying degrees.
