Thanks for accepting my insurance, telling us were good to go PRIOR to us ever making appointments, then sending us a nearly $2K bill for blood work and physicals. After I spent months disputing the charges the bills get pushed to collections outside the knowledge of Affinity Healthcare that payments are processed through. I liked the Doctor but for the Staff to tell me that it was a misunderstanding and now I had to pay was insane. Word to the wise - they will tell you that you are covered but call for yourself. Verifying in person at their office wasnt good enough.

I got a great vibe all the way around from this primary care physicians location!! Dr. Teachman seemed to really listen to my needs and took the time to care! This was my first visit and I go back in a week for a follow up so hopefully we can come up with some answers as to my next move to make me feel better! The receptionists were very nice to me. And the lady who took my blood was very nice and gentle as well. I didn’t catch her name as I was very tired!

Not a fan of this location. Been making payments and they still send me to collections. Ridiculous! Will be giving bad reviews for this location from here on out. DO NOT GO HERE. You will regret it!

Ive been a patient at Palmetto Primary Care for about a year and a half and I cant say enough good things about Dr. Teachman, and most of the staff there. He has AMAZING bedside manner and is always kind. He takes the time to listen to any concerns or questions I have. And Brittany is wonderful as well! Shes probably the only person who can get a vein on me the first time, every time. Shes always a pleasure to be around. The only reason I gave 3 stars and not 5 is because of an encounter I had recently with the the girl at the front window/checkout area. On the day of my appointment recently it was raining terribly so I called to reschedule my appointment because I dont drive in the rain because I was involved in a horrific accident a few years back while driving in the rain. But when I explained that that was the reason for my same day cancellation, she told me that she had to drive all the way from Summerville and she was just fine, so I should just come on to the appointment. I sort of laughed it off and again told her that I needed to come another day when it wasnt raining. She tried again to convince me that I needed to just get up and come on and I protested once again. She finally agreed to reschedule me for another day, but her tone of voice and attitude wasnt consistent with someone who has to work with the public on a regular basis, especially at a doctors office. The rest of the call was she sounded short and very unpleasant. I didnt write the review then because I thought everyone has bad days and let it go. But after I went in for the appointment and heard her tone with another patient at the window who didnt have the right insurance card with her and the rude response I got when I called back the next morning because I left my food journal in the exam room, I decided not to let it go. I really hope she gets some additional training on how to talk to people or they give her a job where she doesnt have to interact with the public anymore. Its a shame to have someone up front representing your business with a nasty attitude and tone of voice when you have such a wonderful practice otherwise.

I am a physician and I was thrilled with Dr. Teachmans care. I felt like he listened (not just because I am a collegue) and addressed all issues appropriately.

I wouldnt even have given them one star! They are by far the worst doctors ever! Saying theyre horrible is being nice...I didnt think I was going to see a psychiatrist, but a doctor! Please dont even bother! There are great doctors out there, but they are not here!

I like going to see Dr. Teachman. His office staff is friendly and professional. I am able to handle many health care concerns that I previously spent a lot of time and money at other providers in one place. I am always able to schedule an appointment within a week often sooner. Also the PA Katherine Kreber is amazing!

Here’s what’s based off my mother’s experience and what I’ve witnessed over the since years since he completely stopped giving her the pain medicine. Why did I wait until now we’ll...the jerk is still at the least wrong for the way in which he handled the situation and I felt like letting him know what’s happened to her since. And at one point he was more than willing to give her pain pills before the law was changed in, 2016. My mother went through withdrawals that lead to seizures that lead to more brain damage that now has landed her in a whirlwind of trouble and pain. Since you so conveniently cut her off and I know you did give her a “warning” (and I know this law sucks) but you were so ugly and wrong for the way you acted. You honestly have nothing but hate in your heart. There’s no way someone could’ve done and said what you did if you had compassion. My mother is disabled not a faker and obviously has no right eye but you still talked to her like a dog that day. She cried and you were still rude. I only regret not saying something to you then. My mom almost died 2 months ago and the doctors and I are looking at when this all started. How convenient, that it was since seeing you. She can’t even mention your name without getting sick. I tell you what the nurse you have working for you, I pray you treat her good because the hug she gave my mother when we walked out with her crying so hard meant the world to her. (God I wish I could remember her name.)I do have a lot of dislike for you, Dr. Teachmen and I still don’t know why you were hateful, but how about help someone find another doc and talk to them like their human before doing what you did that day. I’m only a loving daughter who would do anything for my mom. Watching her slowly die has been nothing but heartbreak and I appreciate all you did.

5 Stars, friendly staff, nice office, if your appointment is set and your on time there’s never a wait. Doctor Teachman and Laura H are always so friendly and care about their patients. I couldn’t be more happier. I definitely recommend this office!

False advertising says it will help What is Suboxone yet when you call the staff is very rude when they answer the phone. It’s not to speak to the collar but the girls there with him when asking about it they snicker and make you feel like your lower than somebody else great doctors I think have a good hand in picking staff so that says a lot for this great doctor

Dr. Teachman & his staff have been my loyal health providers for 5+ years. They are available to me anytime for all my healthcare needs. While he is a very busy doctor Ive never been treated unfairly. He is knowledgeable, professional with an excellent bedside manner. That is why Ive been his loyal patient for many years & have no desire to seek care elsewhere.

Been a patient for 4 years and couldnt be happier with the nurses and of coarse Dr.Teachman has to be the kindest and most compassionate physician I have ever met, he not only treats whatever ails you but he also can help you be the healthiest you, with great guidance and knowledge. Been going for over 10 years , & he is a very patient doctor strict , but loyal & he listens to his patients no matter how busy he is . I love his staff & I would never leave him as my primary doctor even though I live over a hour away . Its worth the drive for me

I came in looking for a new PCP as I have recently moved. I scheduled a consultation appointment. Dr. Teachman came in and said I can give you a 1to 2 minute consultation or you can make an appointment. The choice is yours. Needless to say I walked out.

I was referred to Dr. Teachman from Doctors Care on James Island. He has some good reviews and I was looking forward to establishing a new PCP. My first visit was this morning and disappointing to say the least. Dr. Teachman rushed me through our consultation session with seemingly little interest in what I was saying, and tried to end it before I was finished relaying my medical background. He then forgot that he wanted me to give a blood sample and rushed me out the door. Thats not the kind of doctor I want to manage my healthcare needs. Im still looking for a new PCP in the Charleston area.

Ive seen Dr. Teachman two times now and both times felt rushed. I tried to show him an x-ray report that showed I have osteopenia and he just blew past it. I went to him to find out why Im so tired all the time. He ran some tests and told they were all normal but when I checked them myself on their patient portal, there were at least four tests that were at the very bottom of the standard range. And all four tests indicate malnutrition. Gee, maybe that might be why Im feeling so tired? But he didnt tell me that. He told me I must be depressed and needed to see a counselor. I told him I was already on anti-depressants! He didnt even bother to read my chart and see what meds I was already on!Office staff was nice and professional, though.
