Went and got my hair cut with Kayla. I had long hair and went in with a general idea about wanting somewhere between a bob and pixie cut. She did an amazing job! I love the outcome. She was very knowledgeable and explained things.Very clean and professional area and great little shop area up front. Very homey feel and comfortable.The atmosphere is relaxed and the other women working were funny and you can tell they love what they do and make it a fun environment. You can tell they enjoy each other and make it fun. I didnt feel like I wasnt a part of the room, like at most places I have been. Kayla and the other girls made conversation and it was never uncomfortable. I had mostly gone to Great Clips before and wont go back. I have found my salon home and will also be bringing my kiddos here. Thanks guys!!

The Salon cancelled our appointment the last moment. Me, my mom and young daughter had appointment to have all 3 our hair done. Made plan 1 week in advance, for Friday afternoon. My mother was leaving the country on Monday, so this was rather important to be done prior to her trip. Upon arrival to The View, we were told there is nothing they can do for us, and the salon is completely booked the next day. I understand having to urgently cancel an appointment. What I have a hard time understanding, is cancelling 3 appointments and not trying to accommodate the client at all. It was extreamly unpleasant, The hairdresser apparently had to pick up her child, - well, I have 3 kids, and I never stood anyone up, especially professionally. I am furious, now that I can not find any other salon to take care of my mothers hair on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, the last minute!. I would not recommend anyone to spend their money here, at a place where professional conduct is not a policy.

First time goer. Kim did an absolutely amazing job on my hair - and by amazing I mean my head feels 20 pounds lighter, my hair has a beautiful shine and it was styled / cut more perfect than I envisioned. I do have very thick, curly, untamable hair and she understood that. She only complimented my mop of a head where other hair dresses have made me feel belittled. I will be returning sooner rather than my usual once a year dye & cut because i feel I have found my perfect salon. Thank you for all your hard work and hope your arms are not too sore! 😂

April U. is the best hair stylist I have ever had. I have long hair and if you have long hair finding a clutch stylist is really hard - but April gets it right every time. Its been over 7 years and I can just sit in her chair and she rights my hair again, even though Im really bad about going to get it cut on time. Friendly, so sweet and jovial - absolutely perfect!

I was referred to View by a co-worker after trying multiple salons in downtown Charleston and leaving unsatisfied. Holly did a color correction on me for my first appointment, and I have been a customer ever since! From hair cuts & colors, to spray tans, I have received excellent service from the salon. The staff is extremely personable and Holly always has the clients best interest in mind when it comes to hair care and health. The professionalism is spot on and they offer outstanding monthly specials.

Holly at the VIew is the best! I have naturally curly hair, and when I first moved to Charleston 2 years ago, I was using a curling iron, then putting in rollers to drive to work! I had rollers in my car, my purse, everywhere, because my hair would frizz up immediately. Holly took one look at my hair, knew immediately what to do, and I have had care-free hair ever since! Everyone there is great. LOVE THEM!

I am somewhat picky and particular when it comes to my hair and have been going to the same girl for the last 15 years in Connecticut where Im from, Ive been making special trips back home just to have her do my hair. Its been really hard so I finally decide it is time to find myself a salon in my new home town. After reading reviews for several places in the area and viewing there websites I knew The View is the salon I wanted try out and man am I glad I did! Holly opened up a half hour early on a Saturday morning to fit me into a busy day ahead of her! She was super friendly, made me feel good, and I absolutely love me hair! My hair came out exactly the way I like it! I would definitely recommend this salon to everyone:):)

Go here now!!!!! I needed a last minute appointment to fix the mistakes from a self done hair coloring! I was seen the same day by April who was not only quick but efficient! We had a wonderful pre-wedding experience at the View Salon and Spa!! They had a room available for us to bring in brunch, and provided our mimosas as well. We had makeup and hair done for all the bridesmaids, the bride, MOB, MOG, godmothers and aunts. As an extra we had chair massages available.Everyone looked beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier!

Absolutely fantastic services all in one place on James Island...and Im supporting all locally owned businesses .. I am able to have Hair, Massage, Facials and Nails done by extremely competent and friendly staff without leaving the Island. The receptionists do an awesome job in trying to accommodate my busy schedule.

Omg the best place, went to April c after my hairstylist of 3 yrs cancelled me for being 15 mins late bc of an emergency at work after 3 loyal years of service. They squeezed me in last minute on the weekend no less. I went online and did research read some reviews and this place had the best reviews especially dealing with color. I just really needed someone to fix some of my color damage. April not only fixed my color damage but she gave me the look I had been begging my hairstylist for for the last three times and she made me look amazing! She is very detailed oriented and slightly ocd like me, which you want in a stylist as we women all know & she even offered to stay late and do my make-up and made me just feel fabulous! By the time I left my hair looked and felt amazing and is better than it ever has! Not only that but she helped me pick the right products just for me and wasn’t looking to just make an extra buck.
