My husband and I had a couples massage here by Amy and Dana...These ladies were AMAZING! They were friendly, professional & really took their time in asking questions so they could personalized our massages. Highly recommend visiting this spa and requesting either of these ladies!

I had an 80 minute massage with Sophie and she was Amazing! She knew what kind of massage my body needing being a mother of 2 boys and I work full time. She knew what she was doing!! She even helped me after my massage by writing down some information that can help me at home. Very impressed with her and The Spa’s service!

Took my wife here for mothers day and got the couples deep tissue massage which was fantastic and also a facial for her and she claimed to love it so Id say it was 100% a great purchase. The staff is great as well as very hospitable and the building is beautiful!

My spa experience was absolutely amazing. Our aestheticians were waiting for us upon arrival, greeted us so warmly and we’re just the absolutes sweetest. The services were incredible, my aesthetician was so incredibly lovely and kind, she took her time and was definitely a master at her craft. Best facial I have ever had in my life, not only for the actual facial itself but because the services as a whole until we walked out of the door.

I had a standard massage with Dana- and it was amazing! But much more impressive was her level of expertise and care. She took so much time after the massage to explain to me why I am having back pain and then she even walked me through some stretches and exercises that I should do to improve my posture and help me sleep better. I took her advice and I am actually sleeping pain free for the first time in a year. This woman is the best!

The spa treatments were well worth the visit. The relaxation areas were seriously lacking. Trust the reviews about the food we didnt and regretted it. We visited on a Thursday which we were told was a slow day, the spa is definitely not built to indulge in a full spa experience it just doesnt have the capacity. All of the common areas are co-ed. I would visit again to do another treatment but wouldnt plan a whole day around hanging out there.

Do not waste your time or money in the spa. The hotel itself is beautiful, with excellent service. The spa - not so much. My daughter and I had appointments for manicures last year (we are locals and have also stayed at the hotel for long weekends multiple times). I booked a french gel manicure. The nail technician DESTROYED my nails. She had no idea what she was doing, tried to remove the polish to start over and wound up stripping away half of my nails. There was not another tech available to finish (though there wasnt much that could be done at that point anyway). When checking out no one bothered to apologize, offer a credit or a free manicure if we came back, nothing.I love the hotel so much I wanted to give it another try, in case it was just a one off bad experience. This week I submitted an online booking request for mani/pedis for my daughter and myself once again. The spa responded with an email asking me to call. Not a huge deal, but why have an online booking option on your website if I need to take the time to call anyway? I then called and asked if the pool was still available to spa guests. I was very snobbishly told no, only hotel guests and spa packages, as we couldnt possibly have 430 people (the number of hotel rooms) use the pool at once. In the many years I have frequented this hotel EVERY spa guest uses the pool, which is the norm for spas with pools. So, this is just ridiculous, not to mention the delivery was rude. If Im paying $70 for a childs mani/pedi and another $70 for a pedicure youd think it would include a swim in a pool thats typically close to empty. Especially in November. In addition to that because of the size of the nail room only one technician can be present at a time, so dual services cannot be booked.Save your money at the spa and spend it at The Charleston Grill downstairs instead. Earthling Spa is around the corner and does and excellent job.

There are much better spas out there. I got a deep tissue massage (which was great) and a facial. The woman who did the facial used a needle way more than necessary and I left with marks on my face (I get facials with extractions a lot and Im not left with marks). They offer two complimentary drinks (champagne/mimosa), I asked if I could have white wine instead they said sure. Then when I asked for my second drink she brought it out and tried to charge me $15, basically accused me of lying, etc, very publicly. I had just spent almost $400 there and I felt I was being treated differently bc I wasnt a guest at the hotel. Im a local and I wont be going back

I planned a day at the spa for my daughters 21st and 30th birthdays. It was awesome, we had an hour massage, facial, and pedicure. Before we started we enjoyed the sauna and sat in the relaxation room. After our services we sat Im the hot tub and chatted poolside. Then ended with the sauna. So relaxing, the staff is awesome and helpful. As my daughter stated, Best day ever! Thank you for a wonderful day to celebrate my two beautiful girls.

Came in on my honeymoon, with hopes of achieving good relaxation. The place is lovely and the staff were super friendly. They immediately treat you to a dim relaxation experience while they prepare for your treatment. After a small delay, we were brought in for our couples massage. I was tortured most expertly for an hour! My job is an extremely physically demanding one, and between that and having ever only had one massage previously, my muscles were in more need than Id ever recognized. They have the expertise to know the trigger point releases and work them well! I left feeling better than I have in years, albeit with a number of bruises and tender spots. The entire team from the front desk to the massage therapists were so friendly and accommodating. Incredible experience, would love to come back!

My friend and I booked a spa manicure with gel and the champagne of the sea pedicure for each of us. It was for our birthday weekend and we were visiting in town so we thought we would splurge and go somewhere really nice. The manicure was fine but nothing special. The pedicure felt a little short and somewhat basic. The chairs were also not very comfortable. For the $85 price point of the pedicure alone, I was definitely expecting more. However, the staff was nice and friendly. Overall we were very underwhelmed with the overall services and experience.

Sanctuary, Urban Nirvana, and Earthling spas are much better. After spending $400 for my best friend and me to have a massage (that was mediocre at best), we went to shower in the locker room for a night out. There was no shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, lotion, combs, or brushes. How can one get the massage oil out of their hair and off their body without these? We emailed the spa manager and received no response. Less importantly, their waiting lounge offers only water, tea, and chocolate. If you want a nonstimulant snack, bring it with your toiletries. They say they stamp your parking for the garage, but we still had to pay $6 to get out of the garage. All the other spas have free parking. If you want true luxury, go somewhere else.

I arrived early to back to back apts at the spa. After waiting 20 min past my scheduled apt; I went to the desk to inquire. Shortly after was taken back for my first treatment. It ran 25 min late and therefore 25 min was cut off of my facial. I was charged full price until I commented that upon checkout. There was never an apology but she did discount by 10 percent. However, after looking at my ticket, my facial was upgraded without my consent. I emailed to provide feedback and never received a response. Poor customer service for a “luxury” experience.

While I’ve stayed and frequented Belmond Charleston all the way back since it was the Omni Hotel...I guess I’m telling my age but o well! It houses some of my favorite boutiques and restaurants and the building holds some pretty special memories of my life from family weddings, my Cotillion and beautiful dinners, etc.One of my best friends gifted me a gift certificate for my birthday last year and I finally got around to using it last month. I enjoyed a wonderful treatment called the Ultimate Bliss. My Visit was amazing, from Check In to Check Out, the Staff, Esthetician and Masseuse were all AMAZING! I can’t wait to return!I was pleasantly greeted by the front desk staff, who promptly checked in and offered me a locker and robe. Once in the locker room, I found lovely seating areas, showers, all necessary amenities, changing areas with appropriate privacy measures, sauna and a bathroom attendant constantly cleaning and restocking. The Ultimate Bliss which is a facial and foot massage simultaneously, which was PURE BLISS! Both the esthetician and the masseuse warmly greeted me and escorted me from the relaxation area and guided me to the service room. They were both kind and friendly and made me feel very comfortable. They were both skilled, experienced and frequently asked me if I was comfortable and relaxed.Services were amazing and I look forward to returning and enjoying more services and spending some real time at the pool.I don’t have any complaints or recommendations, my services were amazing, the customer service was exceptional and the price point was spot on! Thanks to the Belmond Spa staff for a great visit! Looking forward to seeing you soon to explore more of the menu.Signed with Love of Relaxation🕉,@TheOriginalCharlestonian#LEWReviews
