I have curly hair, and it is SO hard to find people who understand your wants and needs.She was super friendly, I felt like I had known her forever!The cut was quick, but did not feel rushed at all. She listened to exactly what I wanted. Its so rare that you show a photo, and get exactly what you want. 10/10. It felt very COVID comfortable too.Photos of what I wanted and what I got, with a little extra length so I can let it grow. I will definitely be back :)

I enjoyed my first visit to Moshi Moshi yesterday. Caitlin cut my hair and now my hair is noticeably fuller and feels so healthy. Yay! I’m grateful for the simple things like a hair cut in a cheery environment and good conversation.

Such a wonderful experience! Elyse gave me a fantastic cut and truly paid attention to every little detail. She cut layers so they’d look great no matter where I parted my hair, and even trimmed the little pieces by my ears so they’d be cute when my hair was up. Haven’t had a cut this versatile in so long!

I am not a salon person. My haircutter retired during the pandemic and I hadnt cut my super thick, graying hair for a year and a half. Friends recommended Moshi Moshi. It was awesome. They are so chill. Chelsea helped me figure out what to do with all this hair that just made me hot and looked like Roseann Rosannadana (Gilda Radnor character) in humidity. And she listened to what I wanted! I love the cut. Yall should go.

Chelsea did a fantastic job and was very personable! This was my first haircut where I actually thought it looked perfect right after it was cut. Usually I have to wash it or put product in to get it to look right, but not this time. I will definitely go back!

Really great service! I signed up for a Curly Cut with Caitlin and she took time at the beginning to hear what I wanted and look at my hair. She decided that since my hair was fairly fine/looser curls it would be ok to just to a normal wet cut (and actually ended up charging just for the normal cut - very nice of her) They have allll the COVID safety protocols (air purifier, shower curtain dividers between sinks, temp checks, masking, etc.) and I felt very safe as a public health professional myself.Great local business, I will definitely be back for another cut!

CHELSEA was super dope. I told her what kind of cut I was looking for and she nailed it exactly.

I am in town for medical assistance that my wife is receiving, she had been in ICU for a month and for the time being is confined to a wheelchair. I made an appointment for a cut and color to try and get some sort of dignity back. The appointment was at 4 PM, I showed up at 3:45 got my wife out of the car into her wheelchair in the pouring rain. As I approached and pulled on the door, there was a sign that said they were out to lunch and they would be back at the top of the hour. We walked down to another store that had an overhang making an attempt to stay dry. There was a woman standing inside who just stared at us in the rain. Once the door was unlocked, I asked if that woman worked there, she didnt but felt the need to interject herself into the conversation I was having with an employee about the door being locked which everyone said it wasnt, it was. The lady even said I saw you pull on it and walk away and still contends that it was open. Which makes perfect sense, in the pouring rain I pull on an unlocked door but decide it is better to stand in the pouring rain, who wouldnt do that? It is about accountability and being a decent human being, everyone wanted to argue and say the door was opened. If it was indeed open why is there a sign saying theyd reopen at the top of the hour? At this point a small young man dressed in only what I can call a costume of some sort said he didnt like the way I was talking. I suppose hes never stood in the rain with his wife or significant other in a wheelchair getting soaked. I wouldnt go back to this place if they gave away free haircuts for life. Im certain there are good people that work there, I just didnt see any. In particular I dont need a tiny guy in a costume telling me he doesnt like me voicing my displeasure with the lack of basic human decency.

Super fun, welcoming environment! Catlin is an absolute wizard and transformed my poofy mess of hair into bouncy, happy curls. Mega shout out to her for teaching me how to style naturally curly hair -- truly above and beyond service. Highly recommend!

Always get great service here. After years of long hair I was very nervous about a short haircut and have never found a stylist able to tame my thick hair. Every time I go to Moshi Moshi they do a great job with my hair no matter what I ask for. Ive only been disappointed with my haircut once but I was really impressed at how they quickly remedied it when I came back and told them I didnt love it. Their friendly attitudes and great service are well worth the price.

Ive had great experiences at both the Chapel HIll and Durham locations for many years. They have a knack for attracting good stylists and I love their on-line booking. Dustin is my most recent favorite stylist although there have been many over the years. Ive transitioned from super short dyed hair to long blended-in grey over my time with them and hope to move on to whatever my next hair phase will be with them. Great place(s)!

Great haircut!

I usually book Mary to cut my curly/wavy hair. I bring in a couple of pictures to help describe the look I want and we discuss her plans before someone washes my hair. Mary consistently transforms my messy, shapeless curls into a beautiful cut.

This is my third time here getting a haircut with Joi. The first 2 times, I was satisfied. I was never a fan of how she styled it, but the cut itself was fine. I just got back from there and she cut my hair a good 2inches shorter than we agreed in the front and 3 inches shorter in the back. I now barely have any hair at the back of my head when my hair was supposed to just graze my shoulders. Plus the cut itself is choppy with random strands of hair sticking out at the bottom. I

Mary is the *only* person Ill let cut or dye my hair. She earned this after fixing a botched dye job from my previous stylist. My hair is 3 feet long, so mistakes can be much harder to live with! But, every time, Mary is careful to achieve the shape and movement that I ask for, and is meticulous with her highlights and dyes. Plus, they use products that are friendlier to our bodies and planet!

I was a first time customer of Moshi Moshi, and met nothing but friendly and knowledgable people when I walked in, even though I missed my first appointment without giving much warning! I blabbered through explaining my hair type and what I wanted, and Jaime picked right up on what I meant and made it look great. She also knows how to talk and cut at the same time, so it doesnt take up the whole afternoon, and how to suggest products that might help without making you feel like youre a terrible person if you dont buy them in the store. Great Experience.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the haircut Jaime gave me. I showed her a picture and she went to work and I am thrilled with the results. Everyone was very friendly, online scheduling is a huge plus and I was in and out in no time.
