Great customer service! All staff members were so nice & friendly. Technician Edward Utes was so nice, kind , hardworking, caring, loving personality. He take care of the patient like his family. I’ve no words to explain for his personality. He was just amazing & wonderful person. So neat & clean hospital. Dont do a sleep study at UNC Sleep Disorders Center!!! Please look at all of the one star reviews on Yelp and other sites and be thankful that other people have warned you to stay away from this place.This clinic will bill you over $5,000 to lie on an uncomfortable hospital bed in a noisy, light-filled room with screaming toddlers in the room next to you. Even if you dont sleep for one single minute, the charge for the sleep study here will be over $5,000. As soon as you are hooked to the machines, you owe 5K+ . If you need a sleep study, I recommend that you go to a facility that at least tries to make their rooms more hotel or bedroom-like (these look and smell 100% like a hospital room) and is also more transparent about their charges.When I made my appointment here, the clinic staff member told me that the study would be completely covered by my insurance, so no cost to me. Not true!!! My family is not going to be able to have Christmas presents for the next few years because of this sleep study.Even the techs who work at this clinic were telling me that patients constantly are freaking out when they receive bills for many thousands of dollars, even after insurance. Kyle, the manager of this clinic, refused to even talk to me about billing issues, even though I called on three separate occasions.When I reported this incident to UNC Patient Relations, the rep told me that she has gotten many similar complaints and that the best advice she could give was not to trust anyone at the clinics about what the billing cost to you will be. Instead get the billing code from the clinic and give it to your health insurance company.

I had a very pleasant experience at UNCs Sleep Disorder Center. The techs and providers are very nice and attentive. I did not have payment issues because I went to my insurance company directly and confirmed the price before agreeing to the study. Rooms are a bit like a hotel room but it is worth it because I get the best sleep of my life now with my new CPAP machine.
