Dr. Perez and Nurse Sarah are awesome! They did my very complicated double inguinal hernia repair (open) on me. Best in NC! I would have given the center 5 stars but scheduling for appts. is a nightmare! My wife and I made multiple calls (even though the answering machine told me not to). My wife talked to someone at UNC and they are to review the poor scheduling situation. Covid 19 came in to play but they had problems in this area prior to that. Please, please be persistent! Dr. Perez is worth it!

I am uncertain if this center is still in business. On May 4 my UNC internist made a referral for assessment. My baseline condition appears to be exacerbating and I need some guidance before it perhaps becomes an emergency. I have called 5 or 6 times to determine my status for an appointment but no one answers the phone. The telephone answering response indicates to leave a message but warns that leaving more than one message will delay their response. So, here I wait for a response or an emergency. Should I be concerned and ask UNCH security to perform a welfare check on the staff there?

My mother found out she has had a hernia for 5 months on Monday morning..No one from this office calls her back!!A 76 year old woman with a referral and diagnosis and she gets no help from your office.Terrible.Will write reviews wherever possible how bad this has been.
