Team Omegas review concurs with the experience we had with Parenting Services of Chapel Hill. Would not recommend.

There are three ways the Parenting Services of Chapel Hill do not provide the services that they purport to provide to clients in my experience, which stem from the lack of the required training and education of the employees of the company, and most specifically its President, Bonnie Ferrell.1) The President of the company, Bonnie Ferrell, does not have the requisite education to be a parenting coordinator by North Carolina General Statutes. She lacks the required advanced degree, and holds a bachelors degree alone, in human resources.2) The President of the company, Bonnie Ferrell, does not act in a manner becoming of an officer of the court, even if for a private, for-profit company. There were three instances where she raised her voice at me, used inappropriate language, and referred to my child as ``colored.3) The President of the company, Bonnie Ferrell, lacks the organizational and communication skills necessary to effectively help people. There were too many instances to list where she forgot a date, refused to meet, or simply didnt schedule an appointment for me, or left me high and dry after I had scheduled an appointment. So in my experiences, I cannot recommend Ms. Ferrell or her company, Parenting Services of Chapel Hill, because of the lack of required advanced degrees, lack of organization, training, and its these qualities which lead to my next set of issues related to the company: The company does not treat all people the same. The several reasons above, in my experience, are what give rise as to why the company does not treat everyone the same and the instances below arise from the lack of modern training.1) I witnessed Ms. Ferrell, in her capacity as President, mistreat a person with a substantial disability, and then chuckle about it. After that, I most certainly lost respect for the services that the company provides.2) I witnessed Ms. Ferrell, in her capacity as President, mistreat people with few financial resources, as if they were not deserving of equitable resolution merely because of their own financial standing.3) I witnessed Ms. Ferrell, in her capacity as President, not perform her duties related to reporting violent felony crimes in front of a child, and against a child, in fact. When I asked her about that issue, she refused to respond.4) I witnessed Ms. Ferrell, in her capacity as President, inform people she was previously a therapist. There are no records in North Carolina of her being a therapist, licensed or not.5) I witnessed Ms. Ferrell, in her capacity as President, misrepresent and misstate that she was a mental health provider previously.6) I witnessed Ms. Ferrell, in her capacity as President, inform people she was a member of the Cherokee Nation, and her ancestors. The Cherokee Nation has no registrant information on her, or any member of her family. Shes not a Cherokee. She may be of other tribal affiliation, but shes not Cherokee. For the above stated reasons, which I witnessed and were part of my particular experiences, and which are all my own conclusions, I cannot recommend that anyone use Parenting Services of Chapel Hill. The main issues of course being that the President, Bonnie Ferrell, lacks the required education to be in the position she currently hods. The consequences of the lack of education, lack of organizational and communication skills, and the manner in which she represents to be a former therapist, and member of the Cherokee Nation may be consequences of some broader issues in the company culture. The positive reviewers, whom I recognized, generally, are members of the broader Chapel Hill community, which have not used the company in the traditional sense of the services that the company provides. They are more like affiliate partners, except for maybe one or two people. So the current set of reviews, outside of those affiliate partners who have not used the company for its services, but receive financial incentives from their partnerships might not accurately reflect their experiences with the company.

We were referred to Bonnie from some friends who had success with her services. We had six sessions where worked with her to lay out the co-parenting agreement and associated addendums. She walked us through how to communicate better as co-parents and counseled us both fairly and openly. She saved us so much money and heartache on the agreement. We came to a fair and balanced resolution and when we presented it to our attorneys and the mediator (a judge of 30+ years in Orange County) they all complimented her and the two of us for doing such a thorough job. I have recommended her to many since and would do so again.

Bonnie Ferrell worked with our family for over five years and navigated an extremely challenging family dynamic with professionalism, fairness and a laser focus on what was best for the children. High conflict family situations always bring intense emotions. Her understanding of the court process/system, her extensive background in difficult social services situations and her constant effort to educate parents on the importance of working together for the benefit of the children make the path to co-parenting easier on the parents and healthier for the children.

Gregory Cash is exactly correct in his review. This was my experience as well. She also broke countless laws in order to abet my ex-wife in abusing the system to alienate me from my children. She is unethical and biased against dads, and I believe she was colluding with the opposing party. She is not licensed in her area and shouldnt legally be a PC. She removed her website when I discovered she was practicing unlicensed. She sued me for thousands and thousands in fees for all the time she spent counseling my ex wife. Her recommendation favoring my ex was Court Ordered and I was also court ordered to pay her fees despite her withdrawal for being ineffective and despite all the laws she broke. Contact me if you are interested in filing a class action suit.

From my personal experience with Bonnie Ferrall is that she is very inept at her role as Parental Coordinator. From my personal experience she will tell you one thing on the phone and do completely the opposite in her PC ruling. This is a women that I believe is very easily manipulated by the party that has the most money. If you do not pay her all her monies owed she will take you to court and have contempt paperwork filed on you by her attorney. If you do not pay then her and her attorney Karen Murphy will ask the judge to take you into custody until all the monies are paid.I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend staying as far away as possible from any services that Bonnie Ferrall and the Parenting Services of Chapel Hill may provide. However I believe if you have thousands upon thousands of dollars to burn and can afford to buy PC decisions then I would recommend Bonnie Ferrall and the Parenting Services of Chapel Hill.
