Dr. West and staff friendly and warm. Going to a dentist can sometimes make you feel a little anxious but they make you feel comfortable and at ease and that you are special. Dr. West is an excellent dentist and you always feel confident in whatever dental procedures he will have to perform.If you are looking for a great dentist and a great atmosphere this the place to go.

Dr. West and his staff are amazing!!! Kind, patient, skilled, and honest!! My husband, brother and dad have been going to him for years and have been so pleased and thankful to have him as our dentist.

Dr. West was very understanding and accommodating during my visits. Like most people, the dentist is not my favorite place and I would even go as far as to say it is my biggest fear. Dr. West and his staff were very understanding and went out of their way to make me comfortable and walked me through everything while taking my fear into account. In the past, I have had dentists discount this fear and with Dr. West this was far from the case. I can not recommend them highly enough and will absolutely share this experience with friends and family members.

Ive been going to Dr. West for many years now, and I wouldnt recommend anyone else. Anita always greets me with a warm smile and positive attitude. Both Anita and Jeffrey make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Great teeth cleaning and professional services. Whenever I have questions, they are thoroughly and honestly answered. I really enjoy how Dr. West takes the time to ask you how youre doing and get to know you- I never feel like Im just another patient. The office is also very clean and modern. Highly recommend going to Dr. West and Anita!

My visit to Dr. West was the first after nine years of neglecting my dental care. I felt very nervous about the appointment, having some idea of what condition my teeth may be in. The dental hygienist who performed my x-rays was very kind and kept me talking throughout the appointment. Additionally, when she accidentally overcharged my card, she immediately caught the mistake and rectified it. Dr. West has wonderful employees.However, I wasnt as pleased with Dr. West himself. I appreciate that he was straight with me about what treatment I needed and what it would cost me, yet I left the office feeling discouraged and confused. I had no luck setting an appointment with the surgeon he recommended me to (which is not at all his fault) but I also had no luck getting back in touch with the office to schedule a follow-up appointment and to request a copy of my x-rays. The visit wasnt terrible, but I wasnt keen on Dr. Wests bedside manner or his ability to explain things to me in a way I understood. Furthermore, at the end of our scheduled appointment, he said we didnt have time for the cleaning I thought I scheduled so I left feeling both uncared for and discouraged.The dental hygienists really redeemed this very expensive visit for me. I wont be returning to Dr. West for further care or following up with the surgeon he recommended because I didnt feel comfortable or positive, especially after going to another provider. Give him a go, as everyone else seems to have enjoyed their experience, but I wouldnt recommend him to a friend after my visit.UPDATE: A day or so after writing this review, I received an email containing copies of my x-rays and a phone call from Dr. West offering his apologies and a refund. Im not changing my review because this was my honest experience, but wanted to reaffirm that the staff at this office are kind and care about their work. I simply didnt have a good experience and found a dentist that works better for me.

Very professional and friendly! I really enjoyed the energy of administration and the dental hygienist. Dr. West is a very nice and gentle doctor. I was surprised that this office does not take digital pictures of your teeth for tracking changes from one visit to the next. Also, the the doctor does not review your X-rays on-screen with you. This office needs to upgrade to 21st Century equipment and protocol ASAP- very good otherwise.

Dr. Wests office is great. Ive been going there for 2 years now, and I cant say enough great things about their office. Anita & Dr. West are phenomenal. After a mix-up with a retainer that I had ordered, they refunded my money (and still provided the service) because of the inconvenience to me. It means a lot to have a business that is so customer-focused! Going in for a cleaning is quick and great-- Dr. West actually cleans your teeth! Highly recommend to all.

He is such a kind person. I first went to his office around two years ago. I hadnt been to the dentist since I was sixteen and was terrified. He is very easy going and is very straight shooting. He doesnt recommend unnecessary procedures. His staff is caring and the office and waiting room are clean, welcoming and nice.

I had a wonderful first visit at Dr. Wests office today. The staff was very friendly, and Dr. West was professional and thorough. I do not have dental insurance but the money spent today was well worth it, and reasonable. I will be going back for another cleaning when the time comes! I highly recommend Dr. West if you are looking for an honest, reasonable dentist in the Chapel Hill area.

Great dentist! Coming from someone that does not enjoy going to the dentist, I had a wonderful experience. The office is very nice and relaxing and I was very impressed that Dr. West cleaned my teeth himself. I highly recommend him!

Best dental experience Ive ever had. I submitted an appointment request for Friday on Wednesday evening with a tooth ache (as a new patient). Heard from Anita at 8am Thursday with an appointment for Friday morning. There was barely a wait (5 minutes maybe) and they were even able to fit in a cleaning after checking out my tooth. Both Dr. West and Anita are so friendly. Dr. West listened really well when explaining my tooth pain and dental history. I am normally terrified of going to the dentist due to terrible prior experiences but had a wonderful experience and will be going back in 6 months for another cleaning without anxiety.

A great office, latest technology, super experienced Hygienist and Dr. West is just wonderful. Even more so, HONEST in telling you what you ned and dont need. Only interested in quality dental care not your money!! I highly recommend him.

Dr. West and his assistant Anita are the best. I have been coming here for years after finding the office through a groupon. Before come to Dr. Wests office, I always got groupon discounts and visited a different dentist every time. After one visit with Dr. West, I was willing to pay full price just to keep coming back even though I didnt have dental insurance at the time. I also recommended the office to my family and friends and everyone is so happy they took my advice.First of all, they are kind and professional and treat you like family. I look forward to my biannual checkups because we chat and catch up and its really lovely.Dr. West is also efficient! I can get an entire checkup done in less than an hour, allowing me to use my lunch break and not take time off work. I have never had to wait for an appointment, they are always ready to go when I arrive. It is easy to make appointments and they are able to accommodate emergencies easily.The office is gorgeous, conveniently located in downtown Chapel Hill with easy parking under the office complex. The office is immaculately clean but not in a hospital/disinfectant way. The whole space feels new and modern.Also, Dr. West is honest and doesnt treat you like he is just trying to get you to spend money. For example, other dentists have been telling me for years that I need to get a cosmetic procedure done. Dr. West examined my teeth and informed me that, yes, while it would be useful to get the procedure done, it is by no means necessary, and it can wait until I have the money. They are always upfront about costs, so I know in advance what I will need to pay. The prices are completely reasonable, and given the professionalism and cleanliness of the office, perhaps too low. I have grown to trust Dr. West and his opinions.This office is the best. If you are looking for a new dentist, try Dr. West. You wont be disappointed.

Dr. Wests office got me in on a same-day appointment for tooth pain/broken tooth on 30 minutes notice, and I received both excellent and attentive service. Dr. West is an incredibly skilled, proficient dentist and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs dental care in the Chapel Hill area.
