I needed to find a salon in Chapel Hill and so happy that I chose Lavish and Erica! I travel a lot but I will now do everything to make sure I get my haircuts here. The salon is perfectly friendly and laid-back, and Erica is the best. She is that ideal combination of having all the skills and talent while being genuine, kind, not at all pushy. She is that stylist who will put customer first and give great advice over upselling on products and treatments. A real gem - cant wait to keep coming back here!

I followed her here from another local salon because I don’t trust anyone else with my hair.I recently recommended my boyfriend to her. I’m so impressed. It’s definitely worth the price.” In my personal experience, Erica is always attentive, understands what you want, very knowledgeable and skilled! They also have a great referral deal!I was also pleased to know they’ve taken the appropriate measures to ensure their staff and clients are safe during this Pandemic. They have a foot latch on the door so you don’t have to open it with your hands. There’s also plenty of signage letting you know masks are required. Once you enter, they check your temperature and provide hand sanitizer! Major props to the owner for her efforts!

I love this salon and its all because of Lindsey Reiner, one of their amazing stylists! Lindsey is so talented and professional. She makes cuts and colors a real joy each time. I have made the mistake of trying to see other people in other salons and always come back to her! I now live 3 hours away from her salon and go out of my way to get my hair done by her! She specializes in seamless balayage styles and long layered cuts. If she has availability I HIGHLY recommend booking her!

Everyone at Lavish Beauty Lounge is absolutely wonderful, I have been there three times and every time has just been positively amazing. Miss Claire is the sweetest person ever, and Miss Kat not only is the best hair dresser to ever wield a pair of scissors, but she just may be coolest person I have ever met in the world.

Lavish Beauty Lounge is gorgeous, clean, and has a great vibe ! I’ve known most of the stylists from another salon for a few years now and they’re all excellent. I see the owner Mary for color and cuts and she is fabulous. She has rescued my over processed hair and given it a healthy natural look. Kat is a phenomenal makeup artist. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who is seeking makeup artist for any occasion. I was very pleased with my results, and she helped me feel confident and beautiful, my husband loved it!

I was very happy with my experience at Lavish. I usually cannot have my hair rinsed or washed in typical salon sinks due to a medical condition. The sinks they have were so supportive. I felt so comfortable and Mary made me feel totally at ease. I have waves in my hair that make shaping a challenge. This is the first time in a very long time that Ive been this happy with the results. I will most certainly be trusting Lavish with my hair from now on.

I followed Erica from her previous salon to Lavish Beauty Lounge and hope I can continue getting haircuts from her for years to come. The new space is gorgeous. Very clean and bright, good amount of space between stations, comfortable shampoo chairs. They always leave a good amount of room between appointments so I dont have to wait. They have a lot of available times and days, including weekends, and it is easy to book and reschedule appointments with their online system. Prices are fair given the many years of experience of their employees. Bang trims are always free. Erica does an excellent job! My hair has become visibly healthier since she has started working with me. She really listens to what I want and remembers my preferences whenever I return, even if its been months. She is also just easy to talk to so I look forward to catching up with her!

I have been to Lavish several times and am always impressed by their talented staff, gorgeous decor, and, most recently, their Covid-19 protocols. I have rarely ventured out since this pandemic started and had a lot of anxiety about going to get a hair cut. They posted a great, informative video on Instagram about what practices they have put into place in order to assure the safety of staff and patrons. That helped convince me to book my appointment. I called upon arrival and was told to come on in. I was greeted at the door by Claire who gave me some hand sanitizer, checked my temperature with a touch-less thermometer, and then went over the list of Covid-19 related screening questions. I felt very safe the entire time I was there. I have personally had hair cuts by Mary, Kat, and Alyshia (who, sadly, has decided on a different career path) and love them all. You can’t go wrong with Lavish Beauty Lounge! Highly recommend!

Great studio! The ladies that work here are so knowledgeable in all sorts of hair types and styles. I get my hair cut and colored with Mary--I followed her from her previous salon, and will follow her wherever she goes!

Love Lavish Beauty Lounge and the team there. The location is conveniently located and parking is easy. The space inside is open and inviting and never feels cramped or too loud. Appointments are easy to book or reschedule using their online system, and I never have trouble finding a convenient appointment during after-work hours or on the weekend.I found Mary after having tried out a few other stylists in the area, and Ill never look back. Im always nervous to try new stylists, and at my first appointment, Mary did a great job putting me at ease by talking through the possibilities and making sure I was comfortable with the cut every step of the way. At every appointment, she listens to what Id like to do and, even when Im very vague, she is able to turn that into a great style taking into account my hair type and low-maintenance routine. Whether Ive gone in for a trim or a major change, I always leave feeling amazing with my haircut.

Great, intimate salon that doesnt get over-crowded or too loud. Everyone there is super kind, talented and accommodating. I live in downtown Durham and work in Carrboro, and it is a convenient location to both areas.Erica is AMAZING! I have a shorter cut and texture/thickness that can be difficult and I avoided finding a stylist in the area while in undergrad at UNC, but had to bite the bullet postgrad. Erica was the first stylist I tried and Ive never looked back (3.5 years). She always knows exactly how to cut my hair (in a way that looks great whether I wear it curly or straight), even when Im not sure or articulate about what Im looking for. Id never dyed my hair prior to her, but when I wanted to experiment with a demi and balayage she was just as amazing and helpful. She is a gem.
