I always have the most wonderful experience at Citrine Salon. I have been seeing Heather for haircut and color for more than 6 years and I always leave feeling very happy with her services. Upon meeting her, you will immediately see how sweet and stylish she is! Heather also genuinely cares about her clients. She listens attentively to your ideas and helps you through the decision-making process. We had a serious health situation in our family and required some hair loss TLC and Heather went above and beyond to get our loved one through that difficult time. Family members and friends have worked with other stylists for haircuts and blow outs and have all been thrilled with the results. In terms of Covid precautions, the salon has taken every measure possible to ensure the safety of clients and staff. I could go on and on but in a nutshell, Citrine Salon Days really are the happiest days!!

Wonderful salon with kind and welcoming staff. As the pandemic is ramping up again, I appreciated that staff were all vaccinated and masked. My stylist was able to provide tailored product recommendations to my hair and active lifestyle. Not inexpensive, but well worth it.

Samantha did a blow out for my wedding rehearsal and it was amazing! She was friendly and helpful in getting what I wanted right. My matron of honor was with me and we both loved our blow outs! Heather is the absolute best. I have been seeing her for almost 10 years. I had had some traumatizing blonde experiences at other salons and she was a godsend with her killer color skills and patient demeanor. Being a military spouse, I have moved 5 times since meeting her and I still call to book her as soon as I know I’m planning a visit back in the area. Everyone at Citrine is gracious and ever-accommodating to my hectic schedule limitations. They are all top-notch and I always eagerly anticipate my next visit!

This place and the people are amazing. They are all highly skilled, and the shop is clean and beautiful with the most current and wholistic hair care products available if youd like to purchase some of the items they use, ... although no one there has ever tried to sell them to me. The owner Heather has gone out of her way to accommodate my and my daughters color desires and always puts her customers first. I get so many compliments on my hair color after a visit. I was a first time client looking to get some balayage highlights, and left so so so happy! Darien was awesome. She listened to what I had to say, gave me good advice and did an amazing job on my hair. She was personable and professional. It’s also a very clean and professional salon, making you feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend!

Bad experience overall between scheduling appointment, hair washing and hair styling.I made an online appointment and apparently the stylist was double booked. The receptionist called to see if I would move my appointment, only to say she would call me back and never did. I had to call them to see the status of my appointment.The stylist was rough when washing my hair, splashing water and soap in my face, I normally look forward to this step because it’s relaxing….not this one!My haircut looks like someone tied my hair in a ponytail and then cut it straight across. She didn’t blend, angle or thinned it where needed. She was also doing a coloring at the same time and seemed to be in a rush. Definitely NOT worth the $80. I will not be going back to this salon.

This was my first time visiting Citrine and it was an all around lovely experience. The covid measures were in place which made me feel very safe but I could also fully relax into a spa-like salon setting and forget about the world for a minute. I received a fantastic cut from Samantha!

I always enjoy my visits with Stacey in Citrine Salon, even in this COVID era. Everyone is always friendly, professional, and welcoming. Now, they have instituted extra, frequent cleaning to their already rigorous cleaning practices. There are plexiglass barriers between each station. The stations are spaced widely apart. Everyone wears a mask. There is also a plexiglass barrier at the check-in counter. They are limiting the number of customers in the salon, so it is never at all a problem to keep a safe distance from one another. They even have one-way arrows on the floor. No one waits in the salon - you just wait in your vehicle or on the bench outside until they text you to enter, at which time, they take your temperature. I highly recommend this salon, and hope people will feel comfortable patronizing it. (parking is very close, and easy) Thanks, Citrine!

This was my first experience here. Ritchie did a fabulous job on my color. Turned out perfect! Went back to Ritchie for a cut later and that also turned out great! They sell Oribe products which are my fav! I definitely recommend this salon! If you want to leave gratuity/tip for your service, they only take cash or Venmo (directly to the hairstylist).

Citrine Salon is awesome and Owner/Stylish Heather does an amazing job. During the pandemic I did not have my hair cut for ~4months. I have short hair so it is noticeable when I do not. Friends and family commented on how good my hair still looked after all that time! That speaks to how amazing Heather is as a sytlist. As an owner she has taken so many precautions. I felt 100% safe there. I wore a mask as did all others and they are constantly wiping down surfaces... I encourage anyone to book an appointment with one of their stylists!

Just moved here from the San Francisco Bay Area, and was seriously concerned that I would not be able to find a salon and stylist as good as my longstanding stylist.Did I get lucky - after a lot of research, I decided to try Citrine salon on Environ in Chapel Hill, and opted to try Samantha - Wow! She is a real pro - listened to what I asked for, looked at pics I provided, and ran with the formula conversion that I brought to her for my color. I walked out feeling as if I never left my longtime salon - the cut was perfect, as was the color. Sam is incredibly personal and really really good at her craft. I booked out until the end of the year, as I am that excited about going back. The Salon is doing a great job with COVID safety for everyone too. Ethan, at the front desk, was charming too! All in all, an A plus from a very hard to please California girl:)

First of all, I like how safe I have felt having my hair done during COVID. I really feel like they take all the precautions. I see Darian, and she is great. I moved to the area 8 months ago. Before that, The same person had done my hair for 12 years. I was nervous about trying to find someone new, but Darian listened to what I wanted and does a great job. I love my hair color. Citrine was recommended to me after a not-so-great experience at another local business, where I was scheduled to get my eyebrows waxed and a blowout because I had professional photos for my new job. I was frustrated it didn’t work out and was scrambling to find someone else to do my brows and hair which wasn’t easy because we had just moved here 4 weeks ago. I called first thing in the morning and they were able to get me in for my blowout and out in time for my photos with beautiful curls nonetheless. Sam did an excellent job and she’s super personable too. The guy who answered the phone (I can’t believe I can’t remember his name right now) was really nice and accommodating. And they are very cautious and responsible, adhering to all the COVID guidelines. A truly professional group of people. I’m so glad the lady who waxed my eyebrows at another place down the street recommended them.

My first experience was great but my second not so much. Staff was friendly and very nice. I asked for 3inches to be cut, but she took off 6 inches. I called to complain i was told the manager would call me but they never did.

I just had highlights and a cut with Amy and she was FANTASTIC. She was incredibly accommodating (I had to take a work call - so sorry about that!) and she did an amazing job with my hair. Ive been here 3 or 4 times now, and this is the most pricey cut Ive had, but its absolutely worth it. I have special needs due to scars and bumps on my head and previous haircutters have been successful, but could also be hit or miss. Ive been working exclusively with Darian, and shes wonderful. Very talented, competent, and friendly. I will be returning to her as often as I can, and they have even been able to take me on short notice. I was uneasy about a salon but now I realize how valuable a place like this is. Im also lucky that its so close to where I live.
