At the hospital, and my wife of 51 years has just made the decision to die at home no more meds. Panicked, I called three hospice cos. , First to respond (on sunday,) was an absolute angel from Compassus! Their whole team, from initial contact, to nurses, aides, and even the home medical equipment guy, was professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate! Couldnt have begged for a better group!!
We trusted Compassus with the care of our mother who was terminally Ill. She was on home hospice care and Compassus assured us that she would die at home, peacefully and with dignity. She died at home, but that was it. Compassus FAILED to return the signed DNR to the home and when she died ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. Compassus is a terrible company and to make matters worse their employees were instructed to NOT communicate with the surviving family members after the incident. When we reached out to compliance@compassus we were completely ignored. Terrible company. Terrible.
The caregivers at Compassus are the best in hospice. They go through extensive training, plus the have hearts of gold.
