I have been a regular customer of Solace Day Spa for more than 10 years. In that time I have had just about every service they offer and have always had a great experience! Many find their services expensive, but they do have an array of options for every budget and you get what you pay for! Im always greeted with a smile when I walk in and they even remember my name. I highly recommend the salon! Although I do miss the glass of wine that used to be included with your service! ;) Van is the best and always takes good care of me!I visited yesterday for the first time since the pandemic started for a much needed pedicure. They recently remodeled the salon and have added many safeguards to keep their customers and staff safe. My temperature was taken when I arrived, things were clean and sanitized, everyone wore masks, and hand sanitizer was provided. I felt completely safe. If youre looking for a salon thats going the extra mile to give you some peace of mind while you get some peace of mind, look no further!

I have been going to this Nails Salon since 2009. They are very professional with their work. Now with the COVID-19 restrictions, this place have gone far and beyond in remodeling the place to provide all customers with a safe environment. I totally recommend it. Please note that I have been working with Kim all this time. She is amazing!

Couples Massage.This review does not represent their salon because I have not gone in for hair or nails. My husband and I went in for a couples massage. I hate to say this but it was one of the worst DEEP TISSUE massages I’ve had and my husband agreed. We get a lot of knots in our back so we get massages often. One thing we didn’t like was that we paid extra for a deep tissue massage but it felt like they barely rubbed our backs. I even ensured the woman that I wanted to feel the pain because I’m really just there to reduce my knots and not necessarily to relax. But she didn’t adjust. However, if you want a nice light rub and relaxing massage maybe you’ll like this place. The staff though was friendly and super attentive. They made sure we had everything from fresh towels to tea and wine. That’s the only reason I gave a second star. The massage deserves a solid 1 Star for me. My review is only poorer because I didn’t get what I wanted and paid for which was a good deep tissue massage.

I really regret booking an appointment here and not going elsewhere. Absolutely horrible. Would never ever ever recommend to anyone who has some place to be, but probably fine if you enjoy sitting around having your time wasted. Like most customers, I work a full time job, and needed to get my nails done, called to make an appointment and was told 1:30. I left work early and I showed up at 1:30 and was told it would be a few minutes. I went back up to ask how long was “a few minutes” and I was told it’d be 15-20 minutes, but I didn’t have another 15-20 minutes to spare. So I just epically wasted my time. Next time I’ll go some place that actually values their customers’ time. I should have just gone to another salon.

I’ve been coming here for years for pedicures and have always enjoyed this salon. However the last three times I’ve come here for my appointment they are running 30 minutes+ behind schedule, today being the most recent occurrence in which I had to walk out after 35 minutes sitting in the waiting area. Evidently this is a result of them not properly scheduling people (customers getting spa pedicures for example which take an hour vs a regular pedicure). All they need to do is ask people specifically which treatment they’re getting when they schedule appointments and this wouldn’t happen, but apparently that’s rocket science. I have a gift certificate to use up and once that’s done I will most certainly not be wasting any more of my time in this salon.

Worst customer service ever. Definitely some shady people working there! Manager is questionable too! Will never go back, ever!!

Eva is the BEST Masseuse therapist I have ever had in 25 years HANDS DOWN! She does a fantastic job and applies the perfect pressure.

Daughter and I went for massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures. I asked how much over the phone because I upgraded to hot stone massages. Was told by Mary 10, no more than 20 more each. It ended up being $50 more each. Of course I wasnt told this until it was time to pay. When I reminded her of what she said, she admitted to being wrong. I told her she had plenty of time to tell me. I was there for a little over five hours. She did give my daughter and me a gift certificate of $25 off but I would have to spend $85 to use it. Other than that the services were good. Just dont like feeling like Im being taken advantage of. Will definitely look for another spa in the area. Debating on if its worth going back to use the coupon for main and pedi.

New to this area but loved the shop and service by the Alexandria shop. Tried the Chantilly shop three times but wont be returning. First experience was just okay, second experience just okay but the last experience was unacceptable in regards to time and quality of ombre nails. One positive experience is the ladies are nice and friendly.

Was not impressed with this spa. There was very little personal attention provided; receptionist needs to learn better customer service. Lots of treatments that are included in other spa packages was an extra added cost to the pedicure. What was supposed to be a $45 pedicure turned out to be $100.00. I don’t mind paying for good service, but this was not good! Also, I was told polish on nails was dry & was basically told to leave. They weren’t dry therefore ended having smudged nails. They weren’t busy either, all the techs were huddled in a corner conversing loudly. Not a good experience for me, so I am rating the salon poorly. Perhaps you may experience better service, but I won’t be going back.

The service is hit or miss. There are only a few ladies who do exceptional work and are worth the cost of the services. Customer service does not match the cost of services. Its called a day spa but this term is used very loosely.

I went for an eyebrow waxing and they ended up tearing off my skin of my upper eye lids. i will not be getting them done here again.

First time coming here for Manicure/pedicure because my regular place was packed. I was kind of disappointed with the overall experience. My friends technician was very rough for the pedicure and my technician took about 6 phone calls during my visit there. Unfortunately, while I love the color, my hands / cuticles were actually in better shape before I went in. She didnt actually tend to my cuticles with anything other than her dremel causing multiple cuts That werent there prior to walking in the door. It actually looks like I am a cuticle biter and I am not. Other than that, my tech seemed inconvenienced that I was there and it seemed more like I was being pushed thru an assembly line than an actual relaxing experience.

On a spur of a moment decision, I decided to come to this spa because I needed to get my hair cut. I came in and the receptionist was very kind and squeezed me in, since I didnt make an appointment ahead of time. She made the prices clear and in no time, the stylist was there. I was very nervous since I hadnt gone to the same salon twice, and the last time I cut my hair, the lady messed up so bad that I cried for hours. In the end, I LOVED the haircut. The stylist did an amazing job and was so kind. She asked me questions about my hair type, what I wanted, and what she suggested based off of that. Definitely recommend coming here, just make sure you KNOW their prices.

Theyre the best in many ways. Friendly yet very professional. My nail technician is Kim ( Kimberly) and my hair stylist is FA. Cant live without them.

I want to give a huge thank you to Humaira for the beautiful job she did on my cut and color for my reunion! I received so many compliments! Humaira has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for many years. Ive had many people ask me who does my hair and I have recommended her many times. She has also styled my hair for many special occasions. The results are always fabulous! She has been so kind to fit in me if I have something at the last minute (even coming in on her day off!) and has been very understanding when Ive been stuck in traffic and have been late a time or two! Most importantly, she listens to what I want and makes sure Im 100% happy when I walk out the door!!

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time. I got a gel manicure, spa pedicure and a facial. My boyfriend got their signature healing massage. We both really enjoyed ourselves. They have great customer service and they dont rush at all.

The deep tissue massage was amazing, especially the hot stones. So glad my husband chose this place to buy a gift certificate for a massage. I couldnt be more satisfied with my whole experience here.

I get regular hair cuts and massages at Solace South Riding. They have always provided first rate care--they are prompt and attentive, facilities are clean, prices are competitive but they get top rating for quality.

Got gel manicure on Friday. Didnt like the color so came in for polish change on Sunday. They wanted to charge $30 for a polish change. Didnt happen. Very disappointed.

Good experience. Fa gives great haircuts. The facility lost a star for not allowing tips to be left on credit card, with payment. Inconvenient for customers. Theres an ATM in the back, but Im not keen on using random ATMs that accumulate extra fees.

I am a regular twice a month for spa pedicure and gel nails. The body massages and facials are great too!!

****Terrible First Experiece****Humaira Farighi, hair and make up artist at the (Chantilly, VA location), did my hair today. I left Solace Day spa in tears. She messed up my hair badly. I explained to her I was not happy with it and she refused to fix it saying thats what I wanted. She said if I wanted her to add more color I would have to come in on Tuesday. My appointment was at 9:00AM. I showed up early and sat in my car. I was super excited as this was my day to relax and I dont do that often as a mother of two (one only two months old). The hair stylist didnt show up to work until 9:20AM. I scheduled this appointment a week in advance. Therefore, I assume she had notice she had an early appointment Saturday. Not only was she late, she told me she was asleep when Mary at the front desk called her to remind her of her appointment. She then proceeded to tell me she was late because she went to a wedding the night before and had not gone to bed until 3AM. She was watching shows after she got home and couldnt sleep. She said she was aware she had to get up early for work the next day. I do hope the matter is dealt with so she doesnt destroy someone elses hair! Mary, the wonderful receptionist, has kindly scheduled me with another stylist to fix this mess I am left with.

Had a great pedicure with my favorite technician Sam. She is the best!

I asked for a bang trim. She cut them to a few inches. I don’t know if it was failure to listen or intentional. It’s horrible. I’ll never go back
