Enoch is INCREDIBLE! This young man is super helpful, eager to learn, encouraging, and very positive. He asks thoughtful questions to the therapists & brings a friendly energy to the room. He is genuine and you can tell he has been taught how smile with his eyes! In addition to Enoch, Emily is very knowledgeable and caters to her patients needs. I am a dancer and she gave pertinent and detailed exercises, feedback, and expertise in my areas of need. The dry needling she offers has lasting benefits and has greatly soothed my hip pain. I would recommend the Enoch and Emily duo at Athletico Physical Therapy to anyone.

Nobody wants to be a frequent flyer at a place such as a physical therapy. Thankfully everyone in this clinic makes your time here enjoyable. Compared to other clinics I have spent time at the entire staff at this clinic is much more warm, welcoming, and in general caring about trying to help you get better. I mainly work with Molly, and can’t say enough kind words about her. She is very knowledgeable, genuinely cares about your well-being, and takes her time getting to know each of her patients to cater their plan of care to what works best for them and their goals.

When it comes to physical therapy Athletico is the place to go, and Molly is one of their physical therapists. Physical therapy is never easy but Molly makes it fun. She challenges you but keeps it interesting, all at the same time. She uses a variety of techniques from hands-on to weights. She is very perceptive. She listens and tries to accommodate your every need. She is both knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend her.

I have only great things to say about Athletico on Neil. I have used their services for two different problems and both times I have been impressed by their professionalism, the breadth and depth of their knowledge and experience, the individualized care plans developed for me, and the positive results.They create a friendly, cooperative environment and they work hard to find techniques that help. And they have a sense of humor that makes the work of PT an enjoyable experience! During covid19 I found their cleaning protocols and their attention to protecting the safety of their clients to be exemplary. Their knowledge of the ins and outs of insurance issues makes everything in that arena run very smoothly. All of the staff are upbeat and personable and seem to get along well. I would like to give a particular shout out to Emily, who I believe is the manager of that facility. In addition to being an excellent physical therapist, her attention to all of the details of running such a facility is impressive. And she never fails to make me laugh! Physical therapist, Emily, is excellent and I highly recommend her. I dislocated and fractured my shoulder. So I was in a shoulder immobilizer for 6 weeks. Emily has been fantastic in working to increase my range of motion and strength in my shoulder and arm. On top of being a great physical therapist; she is very personable and kind. She explains everything we do and why we do it. If you have need of a physical therapist, I highly encourage you to seek out Emily at the Champaign Athletico.

Molly has been very helpful in getting my body back into running shape after a fall. She is thorough in her assessments and has a very positive attitude.You can tell she is confident and top notch at her job. I have also learned many new exercises from her to help with healing. I would highly recommend Athletico Physical Therapy.

The students and therapists are always very helpful with showing new exercises and making sure you feel welcomed. They do not rush through the exercises and they take their time. They really listen to how youre feeling and your limitations and do not push you past what you can take. They are truly invested in their patients and their over-all well being. Emily, my physical therapist, was excellent in helping develop a plan of treatment, explaining all procedures and exercises, and answering all my questions. Great spot to get patched up! Came in after a major knee injury back in May and they had me from hobbling to walking comfortably within 10 visits. Flexible scheduling, reasonable price, and kind service through and through. Would definitely recommend.

The service at this Athletico was exceptional. All of the physical therapists, including their interns, were very knowledgeable, personable, friendly, and accommodating. If I had a schedule conflict, they were always very flexible. The whole facility was well kept and constantly cleaned. I have noticed monumental progress in my knee injury thanks to my physical therapist, and I would undoubtedly recommend any of my friends to come to this location for physical therapy and rehab.

Huge shout out to Michaela, who helped my ankle heal. Before coming here, I just got out of a boot for 2 months and my ankle needed lots of work. Now, I am completely healed and feel so much better. The people here are very nice and friendly. Because of this, I looked forward to coming to PT not only cause my ankle felt better after I left, but also because I liked talking with everyone there. It’s gonna feel like something is missing in my life now that I no longer need to go there. Very convenient location for UIUC students and they have a bike rack so that was a huge bonus.

Everyone at athletico was very professional and nice! I worked with Michaela for a torn rotator cuff and she helped me to be pain free again! She is amazing at her job! I am amazed at my knee improvement since I have been working with my physical therapist, Michaela. She has helped me in so many ways. My knee stability has improved unbelievably. My endurance when walking is improved. And, my self-confidence has gone from about a 2 to a 8 on a ten point scale. I feel like Athletico is my saving grace.

I highly recommend this place to go and get physical therapy done. Michaela is super knowledgeable and works get with you, to get you to the level that you want to be at, and helps set goals to achieve them. All the other therapists are super welcoming as well and are always open to help you or demonstrate the therapy exercises you are doing. Even the students are super friendly and eager to talk with you and make you feel even more welcomed. I had the pleasure of going through 9 months of physical therapy due to reconstructive knee surgery. The Champaign location is efficiently and thorough. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. My therapist was Emily P. I can’t say enough amazing things about her as a therapist. Her passion and dedication to her job shows, every session. She is your own personal cheerleader, she gives you confidence while holding you accountable. Emily pushes you to be your best, while standing right beside you. Emily treats you as a person, she treats your injury, she doesn’t treat you as another client or number. Any one that I know who is considering physical therapy, or that is referred I automatically tell them about my experience at Athletico. 5 stars doesn’t even do the staff and facility any justice.

Terrific experience here!I was sent by my podiatrist for PT for my foot.I had an excellent initial evaluation, and a set of therapy sessions that seriously improved my balance, foot strength, and stability (I have the worlds flattest feet!).The exercises that they assigned for home-work were not onerous, but straightforward, efficient, and helped me to progress.I discovered that there were muscles that I had never used before!- and it was a good thing to develop and strengthen them (who knew?).I now actually use my foot differently- and am 59 (so improvement is still possible, no matter what the age!)The entire staff is very friendly, competent, confidence-inspiring, and professional, and actually seem to like each other!(They have affirmed that its a great place to work!)I am so glad that my doctor and I chose Athletico in Champaign for my PT!

I came to Athletico after an unfortunate automobile accident in February! I went through 2 procedures and continued physical therapy with Makayla, my new favorite medical professional! The team here is amazing! In most cases, I felt that they took my injury far more serious than I did! They are punctual, professional, courteous and will work with any schedule, so long as you’re transparent in your scheduling needs. I’m grateful for the experience I’ve had thus far and find myself weary as it looks as if my progress is leading me towards a discharge soon! All in all, if ever there is a need for physical therapy, I recommend Athletico......specifically the one located at 1612 S. Neil Street, in Champaign! They’ve recovered me quite well!

Best therapy I’ve received after numerous injuries, surgeries and self inflicted shenanigans. Emily is outstanding, and the rest of the staff is attentive, helpful and caring. Im an old guy, still competing in swimming. My arthritis is taking over, and I sought help with knee and shoulder stabilization. Emily P. came very highly recommended, and she certainly reflected these recommendations. Shes knowledgable, wants to learn more, has a great sense of humor, and is totally supportive. Ive been to this facility enough times to have observed the other therapists, all of whom appear to be highly regarded and who work together in a way that makes the facility very inviting. As well, the support staff is on top of things as well.

So grateful for Athletico! Molly resolved neck and shoulder problems that werent seeing improvement through any other treatment. Its a great clinic with skilled and caring staff.

The employees at this location have excellent customer service and are very very professional in their duties. The first time I was at this facility for knee issues and Ii went through the program and still have no knee pain to date. i would recommend this facility for any type of rehabilitation needs that you need.

I took roughly 10 weeks of physical therapy to recover from a broken knee cap. As someone who likes to run, the uncertainty of how full my recovery would be was a source of anxiety. But something that helped alleviate that stress was the strong impression my therapist (Emily) took a real stake in my progress. She was very diligent and understood my goals and concerns. The people were very friendly and took stern care to avoid risks associated with COVID. And as a student it was nice how familiar they were with the student health insurance. I could not recommend this place enough.

I could not be more happy with the treatment I have received at the Athletico-Champaign location. I have been to many other physical therapy locations and this one is hands down the best I have ever been to. The staff is really friendly, super helpful, and very attentive to their patients. I was very impressed at how well they aided in my return to activities after having ankle surgery.

Athletico on Neil Street is amazing 🤗 I was referred here for routine therapy after having spent three months in a knee immobilizer with a broken patella. My doctor predicted it’d take me fifteen weeks to have a full range of motion; my therapist, Molly, got me there in twelve. My bike is my only method of transportation, and Molly was able to get me back to cycling 15+ miles a day in no time.Not only is all of Athletico’s staff super outwardly skilled and professional, but they’re also incredibly friendly, amiable, fun people (especially Molly). Theirs are very good hands to be in.

I cannot recommend Athletico Physical Therapy enough! After many visits to a different Physical Therapy company, with very minimal results, I landed at Athletico. After my first visit I could see how differently they ran their program. The appointments were three times as long, and also included manual therapy, if needed. Heather and Molly were awesome. I just finished my therapy and I feel 100 times better. If you are shopping for a physical therapy company, give them a try! And, they take insurance.

Ive attended this location for multiple injuries and have seen multiple therapists (Molly, Emily, Heather, and Andrea) - all of whom have been devoted to helping me reach my goals and fix the current injury. They are all extremely knowledgeable about the body, do exceptional hands-on work (tools, needling, hands), and come prepared to each visit with personalized exercises to challenge you and improve strength in your weak areas. Aside from just being good PTs, the environment at this location is always welcoming and everyone inside has a good time. I always looked forward to attending therapy, which makes putting in the work much easier. I would highly recommend attending this location for any injury you might have!

I have been to Athletico to rehab two injuries. The staff is professional, friendly, and on top of things. The physical therapist takes time to listen to your concerns and addresses them each session. I have an upcoming knee surgery and get to choose where I go for rehab. I am choosing Athletico over the places associated with the doctor office.

I was referred to Athletico Physical Therapy because of jaw pain due to TMJ. I really didnt know of any place that could help me and was so happy to find out that they did therapy for this.The staff was just wonderful to work with and made me feel very comfortable in their facility. The appointments were in a timely manner so I could get the help I needed.I have had success with their help and am very grateful that they are able to assist people with this problem.I highly recommend them to anyone in need of therapy of any kind.Janet Wax

Outstanding experience. Emily P. did a great job helping me quickly resolve problems with a lingering injury to my calf muscles. The treatments she initiated and home exercise she suggested resulted in a substantial improvement in just two weeks. I was skeptical to try Athletico, having been to 2 other physical therapy providers in town. But to say that Ive been more than happy with both my results and the service here is an understatement. I was actually referred to them by a PT from another of the big name clinics here in town because after 3 years post-injury and surgery I was no better and this therapist felt she did not have the level of expertise to help me, hence the referral. I was feeling pretty hopeless that I would ever see any improvements in my pain level and would get back to even close to the level of activity I was used. Thankfully, gratefully, I was wrong. For the first time in 3 years (!) I am nearly pain free and actually anticipate returning to a level of activity pretty close to what I was at before. A HUGE shout out to Athletico and, particularly, Emily Pisani, DPT. Her knowledge and expertise is unparalleled. If you need PT for ANYTHING, do not go anywhere else.

If you need physical therapy in Champaign, there is really only one correct choice, and its Athletico.With most providers, there are going to be certain therapists you really want to see, and others who are...just OK. That is DEFINITELY not the case at Athletico. No matter who you see (and I have seen literally everyone in this office), youre going to get top-notch care.Ive been experiencing chronic pain for over a decade. Before coming here, Id seen almost a dozen physical therapists and, honestly, I had consigned myself to a lifetime of pain. Athletico changed all of that, and Im now in the best shape Ive been in since 2008. They are the first therapists Ive ever met to take the time to understand my injuries and develop a truly specialized treatment plan.The split format of the sessions, one half hour of therapy, one half hour of exercises, is essentially double what Ive had at other providers. Also, after a decade of showing up to PT only to have the therapist watch me do exercises for half and hour and send me home, their use of hands-on techniques (dry needling, Astym, Graston, etc.) puts them way ahead of other offices.

Last September, I broke my clavicle. A few months later, I began Physical Therapy with Athletico in Champaign. I worked primarily with Andrea but also with Emily and Molly. They have all been great: extremely professional, supportive, caring and thoughtful. I have been very pleased with the quality of service. The original issue for me was weakness and limited range of motion in my shoulder but it turned out to be much more than that. Andrea suspected that early on. She encouraged me to request an Electromyography (EMG), a diagnostic procedure to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them (motor neurons). The EMG and other tests performed by my local health care provider indicated nerve damage, a rare event when you have a shoulder injury. Andrea accompanied my wife and I to the Doctors appointment and he agreed to refer me to a highly-esteemed neuro-surgeon in St. Louis. I have a peripheral nerve surgery scheduled for later this month. Thanks much to Andrea and her colleagues at Athletico Champaign for all they have done to get me this far!
