Its a nice place to buy some used furniture and appliances. Dont expect to get no help from the guys out on the dock to loadi your things in you vehicle unless to have some cash. Theyre so petty, thirsty and have no care in the world for elders or the disabled. 👎🏾

Some of their furniture is nice if you have hundreds of dollars to spend. Other pieces are very noticeably damaged and still priced at $60+. Their kitchenware section is sad...a lot of chipped, rusted, very used stuff and Dollar Tree utensils priced at $3. I did find some plastic cups priced at 10cents and tried buying them but the cashier got mad and yelled WE DONT SELL THINGS FOR 10CENTS! I DONT KNOW WHO PRICED THESE! Getting angry at customers for your own mistakes is no way to run a business, especially one with such a good mission. If youre looking for more reasonably priced items and friendly staff go to Salt & Light Ministries.

I visited this place years ago looking for sewing patterns I left in tears because I was tracked as a shoplifter. Fast forward to Saturday July 24, 2021, I had forgotten about the treatment years ago. We are volunteering to help a 94 year old lady Clean her home up and money is Scarce… This place had so many Wonderful items that we needed, such as kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanity, replacement Windows. The Prices were so low I had to put my dollar tree readers on to believe what I was seeing. The cashier was more than kind. One of the floor personnel I will simply give them the benefit of the doubt. I am going back today.

This facility had some nice furniture with some great prices but some high as well. Found some other items that were great buys. There was 1 gentleman that was very friendly and helpful but the 2 other employees dealt with not so much!

Such a great store for second hand items, from books and knives to desks and all kinds of furniture. Check out this store before buying anywhere else.

The organization here is very poor, so it is hard to find what youre looking for (unless it is furniture). They are good for that!

There are usually some pretty good tools and stuff here but sometimes the prices for the furniture can be absurd. Oh is that a hint of cat pee? 150 dollars.

Been going to their store to see what I can do to help but due to this pandemic all my plans this years have shifted to another direction. But I give Habitat For Humanity Champaign 5 stars, they deserve all the appreciation.

They have a vast selection of donate items on all 3 floors. The staff is very polite and helpful!

Always finding cheap treasures or garbage to take home. But at the amazing prices they offer you cant go wrong. Just call me a hoarder. I have always found spare construction pieces I need.

There prices finaly got reasonable and you can even get yer kids bikes there.

Ok place a lil too pricey for used stuff

They have a decent selection of tables, cabinets and lounge furniture, but there is a glaring lack of desks. Other then that the pick up and drop off space in the back is kinda small and is apparently a two way traffic zone which can lead to some cramped driving interactions.

Well how else can you meet and greet the people in your neighborhood and these are the people in your community the people that you meet when you are walking around in these streets

They have a variety of items and I like how they help the community. I just wish they wouldnt over charge on some items. Some prices are so close to retail value new.

They help build homes with the involvement of the new homeowner.The reStore has bargains that help fund the organization.Nice customers and staff, too.

I got a lot of stuff from here after I moved in. Its a pretty bug store. You are sure to find your furniture needs and kitchenware to start after a move without spending a ton.

Thrift store shopping to support a good cause. Staff is friendly and helpful. Dont forget to look upstairs! Elevator is in the rear corner.

I love this place! I almost dont want to tell people about it so that I can keep getting all the great deals myself lol. Basically furnished my whole apartment for less than $200 by shopping here. Highly recommend if youre on a budget and dont mind buying used. The furniture can sometimes be a little dirty, but with a carpet cleaner and a little elbow grease I was able to make it look great! Most stuff just needs a little spot cleaner though. Got this hot cocoa maker for $1.50 and still in the box!!

Because of one rude male individual Casher I have to give them two stars otherwise I would have given them five stars actually there is who wrote individual cashiers my male one female and then there is a young girl there was absolutely amazing she is rather new and she is just so sweet and kind and I hate only give them to stars because she definitely deserves 5 stars as well as some of the other volunteers and Associates and if you read this review and you know who I am I really dont care because its true the individuals that are rude is true I find great deals there enjoy going there and Im not going to stop going there because of how people of A rude person

Great affordable prices for low income families

Im a huge fan of shopping where my money goes to help the community vs. some box store CEO. What I’m not a fan of, is paying double or triple retail value, for used items. They’ve had to see a huge drop in sales over the last or so, which makes you wonder why they continue this way when it significantly decreases funds that provide support services in our community. The good news is, SALT and LIGHT is doing AMAZING things for our community, and quickly became my go to when ReStore’s focus/goal changed. S&L offers so many resources and tools that help our community in so many ways. Career services, computer lab, temp housing, childcare, fresh start program, etc. Almost every time I shop there, (weekly) I see announcements for yet another resource they offer, and store (Urbana one is my fav) is ALWAYS busy, because the prices are incredible, which in turn provides incredible resources. They’ll get my money all day everyday for those exact reasons.

On a good day, you can find the things you need.Love this place.

Fun place for treasure hunting. You never know what you will find. I have discovered some wonderful memorabilia items, as well as find crystal glasses for $0.50 a piece. I love to look amongst the old cookbooks. It is also a wonderful place to drop off your unwanted items.

Ive bought pretty much all of my furniture here. Theres almost a wonderful selection of furniture and even better prices. The people working there also seem like they try their best to help however they can.

This store is great. Its like a Home Depot of donated goods. There is tons of hardware and raw material as well as appliances and lighting. The selection can be a bit sparse, but the prices are amazing. If you find something you like, its hard to pass it up. .

Great place for those hard to find used items. I always find some hidden gems while shopping here. Plus its a great go to place if you need some really low priced home improvement items.

Some absolutely great deals, especially after the price is reduced because the item has been sitting around for a few weeks. However, some items (e.g. cinder blocks) are priced above the going retail rate elsewhere in town, so buyer beware.

Used to be a great place to find quality materials, home goods, and tools for low prices. Selection is still okay (depends on when you go) but prices have increased significantly from a few years ago when I discovered this place. Be sure to check the price of a new item online when considering a purchase here. You may find, as I did, that a new and better product is cheaper elsewhere.

Fun and friendly shopping. No clothing, just housewares and furniture. The lower level is DIY paradise. I have found everything from Hitchcock chairs to old speakers for rehab. As with any donation based business, checking on a regular basis yields the best results.

Great place to do volunteer work. The staff are really nice and they teach you everything so that you dont stress out or get hurt. It also looks like a great place to buy furnitures because I see so many returning customers wandering on the floor. This is a nonprofit organization so if u buy stuff there or volunteer there, you are actually helping people to build their own home, which is a good deed.

Seem to be asking high prices for donated stuff, higher than they used too. I know its for a good cause but I was shocked to see what they were asking for some items .

FANTASTIC community-focused organization with an ever-changing stock of re-purposed, recycled and NEW furniture and goods (ReStore) at fair prices. Also, social network presence (Instagram, Facebook, etc) is informative AND fun!

Always find something great here. Typically, they frequently refresh their stock. They also have great sales, since the price goes down for every week an item doesnt sell. Three stories of shopping, never too busy, lots of great finds. What youll find: decorative (art, lamps, knick knacks, baskets, etc.), home goods (lots of furniture, kitchen supplies, etc.), media, or building/diy supplies (paint, wood, bathroom fixtures, sinks, cabinets, etc.). Favorite second hand shop, hands down.

Its a goodwill for your home instead of your closet.

Good place for deals if you look. They are bad at putting your stuff back. Had a cart full of stuff I put it to the side while I was looking at something. A volunteer had grabbed and started putting it away.

Great place to go if you need things for the home you got to take a time and look around but you can find almost anything youll need to make improvements to your home or just add Little Dick Max Ive gotten several items from there not to mention the tools and everything that they have in the basement Very nice place to save money for home goods

Well i drove here and did not see a picture of the hours of the store so i drove here and it was close for the day so i took a pick of the houres lol .. Look nice and like a big store. Ill be back soon to check it out ..

Before you think of throwing out your furniture or anything in your household you should consider bringing it to the restore. Vice versa, if you are looking to buy great items you will probably find it there. Any money earned by the restore is invested in building houses!

I think people volunteer there to get all the good stuff. I hardly ever find anything useful there. You may luck out, but I would just skip it.

If you like house and craft things on a budget. Always something cool here.

This can be a great place to find decent stuff for great prices. However the staff is not as great to deal with. I bought an item today that still had the retail price sticker on it from walmWal and they were selling it for the same exact price. Now In the very front of store above the cash register is a large poster with their stores policies on it. The first one is how they price things. It says exactly, they start off their prices at 50% below retail value. I mentioned this discrepancy to the cashier, and she very rudely informed me that I was already getting it for a good deal and refused to honnor their own policy. Mind you this item was very obviously used and absolutely filty. If i wasnt so excited for how happy this item was going to make my daughter once I got it cleaned up I would have made a bigger deal about her attitude and the lack of curiosity to honnor your own stores policy.

These guys sold me something for a certain price and when I came to pick it up they told me they sold to me for the wrong price after I already paid for it. No one in there smiles or is nice. Aint going back there.
