Twice now Dr. John Anderson has helped me out of a jam when implant crowns came loose and fell out. Hes skillful and communicative, taking care to explain everything hes doing, from numbing to perfecting the bite post-filling. The whole practice has been great about working with me and taking care of my needs. Im grateful. Im a new arrival to Champaign, and Ill certainly become a regular patient of Anderson Dental.

I visited doctor John Anderson and the entire team was so nice to me. From texting you the forms and letting me to wait in my car if I wanted to, they were very thoughtful of their patients. Jeff was the person who prepped me and I had some pending forms to fill. But he waited so patiently and didnt rush me at all. Dr.John itself was quick to visit following my x-ray and he made sure to know about my all my concerns before checking me. Overall I had very positive experience.

Staff is friendly, not only with patients, but themselves. Doctor communicates with staff with respect and does not talk down to them.They seem to go out of their way to keep things relaxed, and that makes going to the dentist much less stressful.

My husband and I have been patients at Anderson Dental for 4+ years and we have had a great experience! Starting with scheduling and the front office staff, everything is very simple and they are so kind. All of our records were digital and we received text appointment reminders, which was so helpful. If we wanted a paper receipt, they were always happy to provide us with one. All of the hygienists were nice and good at their jobs. We saw a few, but mostly Jackie - she was awesome! Both of us saw Dr. John for our exams, fillings, and cosmetic work. We were always happy with his work and felt that he always had our best interest in mind. When we first became patients, I was not used to paying the bill and then being reimbursed by insurance, but it is actually a very quick process and it was never a problem. Sometimes we received our insurance check before our charges at the dentist had fully gone through! We are sad to be leaving Anderson Dental as we move to a new city, but if you are looking for a Dentist in Champaign - I highly recommend Anderson Dental.

I was a patient of Dr. Anderson’s in the late 80’s, early 90’s. Never had an issue…also I was quite young. I moved to another town and had to establish dental care with a new dentist. Once i moved back to the local area, I began dental card with Dr. Marty Hill. That was great until it wasn’t (no longer in business).Moving to present day…I had my first visit with Dr. John Anderson, and I can’t say enough good things about him and his team! He is personable, respectful, and very easy to talk to!I would definitely recommend Dr. John and his staff, as they are great to work with!!!

Ive been seeing John for about two years now. He has a great energetic and confident personality that really puts you at ease. I feel like he completely has my best interest at heart. Ive had two cavities painlessly fixed without novocaine here. His willingness to do this, patience and gentleness is very much appreciated as I have a really bad needle phobia.Today I had a root canal completed (two visits) and did not feel any of the shots he gave me. They have awesome technology in all the suites that allows them to quickly take x-rays and digital pictures of your teeth and show them to you in detail on a flat screen TV without even leaving the chair. I also appreciate his willingness to talk in depth about issues and answer all of my questions truthfully; even when theyre difficult. Cant recommend John enough and hope to use him for many years to come!

I had my appointment for cleaning my teeth today (August 26th,2021).I would like to summarize my experience as follows:The appointment was duly scheduled, confirmed and I received a reminder of it in a timely fashion.The job was done by Kim, as always, meticulously, and very caringlywith proper explanations for everything she did. Her professionalismpaired with her care is amazing. A model specialist indeed!Kim made suggestions clearly to improve certain things in my routine care. She is very knowledgeable about what is happening in current research and what is available or not available to us in the market and how we should make our choices. Generally, I see Dr. Anderson in the follow up meeting where he succinctly summarizes the health of teeth and advises accordingly. His knowledge of dentistry is superb.This is the place I feel safe, and confident about getting the up-to-date treatment with a lot of care!The follow up appointment was made at the end of my appointment today. I highly recommend Anderson dental to any one seeking top of the line care!

Dr. Scott Anderson is an excellent dentist, his staff is amazing, and his equipment is of the latest in technology. He kept consulting 3-D scans on my tooth in order to repair it and prepare a replacement crown. I was fascinated to glance over and see him turn the image in 3-D perspective, repeatedly, in order to most accurately perform the procedure. Dental work is not inexpensive, so I greatly appreciate getting quality work that will stand the test of time. Dr. Anderson has always been completely honest with me when he explains the procedures, and the benefits and possible disadvantages of taking a course of action. I am very thankful to have such a wonderful dentist!

I had really severe anxiety about going to the dentist because of severe dental pain and negative experiences in the past. Dr. John and the rest of the staff were kind, understanding of my anxiety, and professional from start to finish. My first work was done with some sedation and gas and was the best dental experience I have ever had. My comfort level and anxiety were regularly assessed and I felt comfortable knowing that Dr. John would stop if I asked and ensure my comfort. That experience gave me the trust and confidence in the care I received to undergo my next round of work with only the laughing gas. My trust was not misplaced and I had another great (as great as going to the dentist can be) experience. I look forward to going back to finish up my dental work in a few weeks and strongly recommend this professional and caring team to anyone in need of dentistry.

Great place. There’s a reason they don’t take insurance (but they bill it for you as out-of-network). They’re experts as “stabilizing” any dental issues you might have quite frankly.

I reached out to Anderson Dental over a weekend (when they werent open), because I had chipped my tooth and wanted to get it fixed asap. Anderson Dental called me early on the first business day after my outreach and got me in almost immediately. I didnt have to wait but a couple minutes to be seen. He cares about his patients, he doesnt recommend excessive treatments, he thinks about what is best for the patient and tries to put himself in their shoes when giving guidance with respect to treatment options. At almost 72 I have all but one tooth still in my head. I believe that Anderson Dental is unique in their practice. What makes Anderson Dental unique is 1) education 2) skilled, professional and kind dentists 3) professional dental hygienists and 4) a great and friendly office staff. Dr. Scott Anderson has been amazing. Im a newer patient, and not only is he the best dentist Ive ever seen, but hes maybe one of the top 10 medical field professionals Ive ever worked with. The office is immaculately clean, the equipment is all state-of-the-art, the staff is wonderfully kind, but Dr. Anderson himself is an absolute joy. SO professional and actually cared to talk and ask questions and come up with solutions. Ive gone now for 2 cleanings, 2 exams. Dr. Anderson asked me if a little wear at an angle on my front teeth bothered me (Theyre worn from before I had braces as a child). I said yes, but always I assumed it would be cost prohibitive or too complicated, but he suggested a solution, gave me a quote, and I decided I wanted to move forward. I came in the day of the appointment and he was an absolute pro. It was a tiny correction that has been an amazing improvement. It was minor, so no one around me even noticed without seeing a very close side-by-side, but I can tell you that I notice it EVERY time I look in the mirror, and its made me SO much more confident about my smile. I couldnt be happier.

While Dr. John and the dental assistants did a perfectly fine job on my extraction, I was profoundly disappointed and surprised by the attitude of the administrative staff. After the extraction, while leaving, I was asked to pay for the entirety of the procedure up front; before the claim was sent to my insurer. This was a surprise to me, but I paid a significant portion of what was due and left. Two weeks later, this past Friday, I went in for a follow-up and was asked at the front desk to pay for the remainder of the procedure-- the asked-for amount was $30 more expensive than both what was quoted at my first visit, as well as on my insurance claim. I asked about the difference and was told that what your insurer says doesnt matter-- you have to pay us what we say you owe us. The stark disregard for my confusion, as well as the gangster attitude toward needing payment, was surprising. Rather than asking how we could best orchestrate payment, I had an itemized bill shoved in my face and was asked to pay the entire remainder right then. I did, because I was lucky enough to have had just enough money then, and now Im entering a lean week going into the holiday. At no point did I feel that this establishment was friendly to those with lower incomes, which is a bit disturbing given present social circumstances. I wont be going back for any more dental work at Anderson Dental-- Id rather work with a dental office that considers my welfare, as a medical practice should. Im happy to pay my dues in full, but to be treated so harshly for the sake of payment was disappointing.

Would you consider it either ‘patient oriented’ or professional behavior for any DDS to delay for over ten days his response to a call for over ten days from the endodontist he’d referred someone to -(Despite knowing there was only a very narrow in time to do the procedure), - and then erroneously (Ie falsely) telling that endodontist , with no discussion whatsoever with that patient - that That patient was having a different endo do the procedure - thereby losing that patient their place in the original endos overcrowded schedule? If so, Anderson’s your man.
