Very good employees. Several went out of their way to be helpful and answer a lot of questions. They have ammo. Got some nine mm for a friend. To be honest the prices seems a little high but first store of that type thats par for the course. For the most part I really like the products that I saw

One has to visit here for anything sporty. My bad luck I didnt find the shoes I was looking for but still spent an hour browsing stuff. Well stocked, friendly staff.

I love field and stream I get all my hunting gear there the staff are all very nice and the store is big.

Ammunition was very informative of the current reasoning behind ammunition in the area being low.

Ammo stock was less than stellar. Clerk behind the counter was grumpy and rather condescending until he figured out I knew more about guns than he did. I kind of expect that from stores like this, so they still get a fair rating.

Living in Illinois for over 25 years and this is the first time they had to take all my foid card number before I could purchase ammunition. The state only requires you to show your card, the store isn’t allowed to collect information off it. Will never purchase from them again.

Went to look at air soft guns and the guy at the gun counter had a horrible attitude.

I had a mediocre experience here. The staff will not engage with you unless you go out of your way to ask for help. But once you do ask they are pretty nice and helpful. The price is a bit high. The cashier were nice too. Overall Id still come back here and give them my business but they wont be first on my mind.

Ive always loved field and stream. What a great place for an outdoorsman to shop. Unfortunately for them they have suffered in there customer service category lately and I find myself being drawn back to the small town local bait shops. Theyve made me happy to spend a little bit more for a better customer service experience.

This was not like our typical experience at a big name brand store. We were helped by a salesperson who was undoubtedly the most knowledgeable, experienced, genuinely friendly and enthusiastic about the sport of fishing. Rick was able to not only help us choose the best option for a replacement fishing pole but also showed us several other helpful fishing advice complete with pictures of his latest fishing success! ☺ So nice to shop where the employees make it such a positive experience. Ask for Rick in the fishing department.

Wow! What a great deal I got today. The sales associate, Kendra, really knew her stuff and then gave me a coupon for 25% off. I was making a rather large purchase and she really knew all about what the different levels were I needed after asking me all the right questions. Good job Kendra. My boyfriend and youngest son love this place. I get a little bored but perfect for the people in your life that enjoy looking at outdoor sporting supplies.

Its a very good place to buy any camping related items. We looked for indoor bikes and we were able to try the bike. It felt good to be in store and try stuff than buying online and returning. Especially because the gears are hard to put together and even harder to pack it back.

I dont frequent Field and Stream often, but they had some winter hiking boots I was interested in. Staff was helpful in finding the right size I needed.

If youre coming here for your outdoor sporting goods, it seems like the place to be. They have a wide selection of supplies for camping, grilling, kayaking, hunting and fishing. The staff was friendly even though we were just browsing. What it lacked in was what Ive seen in other competitors stores, activities and interests for kids, like having a fish tank, target practice using guns with laser pointers instead of bullets, and a larger display of taxidermy mounts. But I would come here when Im ready for my outdoor sporting good needs.

Brian in the kayak section was absolutely wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and I could tell he loved talking to people about water sports, etc. all day. We bonded over being Jeep owners and he helped me out with a kayak hauling question I’d had for months. Dont waste your time, RUDE GRUMPY OLD MAN IN SPORTING GOODS, I was searching for a different holster for my full size baretta he was at the counter I asked where the holsters were at he directed me over finished what he was inputting which was fine then joined me. When I asked him if he knew anything about the merchandise or which fit the particular model I conseal carry he was all but spooked. I explained to him I need a thumb release, right hand draw, he MOTIONED AT THE DISPLAY AND WALKED AWAY! leaving me to try to dig through the different selections available.By the way!! I located EXACTLY What I was finally looking for on your web site, afterwards. But due to the lack of customer service and poor performance of your sales staff in this instance, I was prepared to set up my department account. I will NOT BE DOING THAT with Field & Stream. Sales staff customer service effects bottom line in the board room and eventually if enough poor quarters return you will be but a memory. Sad.

Was looking for gun related items and the staff there we definitely not interested in making any money. They acted to busy to help me and just didnt care about helping me. The worst part of it was they werent even busy

I spent a lot of money here and liked going in but today was my last day. I used my free reward points then cut my card up at the counter. Will not support that place after their firearm policy change.

Couldnt find anyone to help in the shoe department. The firearms guy was helpful after 10 minutes and waited another 10 minutes for another salesperson to show. In the mean time I found the mate to the display model and spent $175 on boots but left with a bad taste in my mouth. Hey...Its the Xmas rush.

Awesome selection of outdoors/sporting goods. Huge variety of ammo and firearms, tackle and fishing gear, good selection of outdoor clothing (hunting,fishing,work). From a bass fishermans perspective, they definitely have the best selection in town. They carry a lot of major brands dobyns,Shimano,G Loomis, Lews,St Croix favorite etc as far as rods and reels go and cover most price points. Lures and soft plastic selection is really good, especially for C-U. FIELD AND STREAM IF YOU READ THESE AND LIKE CUSTOMER FEEDBACK: Id really like to see some swim baits added to your inventory! Some bigger stuff! You have the keitech style stuff which is a staple but id really like to see at least some 6 and 8 stuff. Some Huddleston deluxes in a few different varieties, the shad,trout,bluegill and in a few diff ROF. Matt lures hammer tail shad or blue Gill. Were not asking for a bunch of high end swim baits but itd be nice to be able to pick up a few locally instead of ordering them all the time. The market isnt as narrow as you think especially these days. Maybe a few glide baits.. ESPECIALLY the river 2 sea S-waver. Be awesome. Just my opinion. Overall a great place to take the whole family! Alot of cool stuff my kids love.

I have purchased two great pieces of firearms and lots of ammo from this shop. From my own experience I think this store offers a great selection of guns&ammo and they also throw out some great discounts on them. I really had some luck shopping here.

Terrible customer service & unreliable websiteWe drove an hour for the sole purpose of purchasing a scope mount that the website said they had in stock. We spent ten minutes scouring the optics aisles before an employee approached us (three were visible and without other customers). The first employee just stood behind the gun counter and waived in the general direction of where we were standing saying that if they had it, thats where it would be. Five minutes later, a second employee came up to us in the aisle but just stared blankly at the available selection when we showed her the item on their website. We waited for the third employee to finish helping another customer, and he actually made an attempt to locate the product in their computer system only to find out that it is not a product they stock in their store, even though the website clearly showed that they had it in stock.

Helpful staff here if you can find them

Mediocre at best. Reloading supplies were lousy. If I were a fisherman I would have been happier. Bullets, powder & primers were very limited. Probably because the person who orders these things knew very little about reloading ammunition.

Was pleased to see a large display tagged short sleeve fishing shirts $9.98I grabbed 2 of them and took them to the register. They rang up $20 and $24. I showed her where I got them and she said they were the incorrect brand. I walked her over to the display to show her the other shirts exactly like the ones I picked up directly under the $9.98 sign. She said whatever man Ill just change it I dont want to argue with you. I felt like a criminal. Thanks field and stream.
