This is by far the best experience weve had in any of the counties weve lived in. Each of our case workers have been responsive, helpful and friendly. I do not feel judged or looked down on. Thank you to all the people at this office, youre very appreciated.

They seem to have their act together now that you can actually go inside and talk to somebody.

The ladies in the front are nice and helpful but when it comes to calling in it can be hard to get ahold of them and trying to get ahold of your case worker is just awful.

Its funny how the caseworkers can constantly screw up and then years later it comes back it was there mistake yet we still have to pay unvle Sam back! 2013 after my youngest son passed away we were receiving help. I dont know what was never calculated correctly i had to pay back $850! Now Im not working due to medical reasons and i cant get food stamps i applied in February! I received one month of help for $250 for 2 people! Talked to a woman yesterday, 2people living in their house and she is receiving $350 and they work? Whats wrong with that picture? Ones who need help sure the hell dont get it

The agency has been helpful to me while I have continued to need them. Ive had a couple difficult case workers, but for the most part the workers are quick, polite and helpful. It has become impossible to reach a caseworker at their direct number and you cant leave messages. If your worker has been changed without notice (a regular thing), then its impossible. You just have to go to the office to find out whats going on. The main number is not answered 95% of the time, and again, you dont have the option to leave a message. I do not understand how ANY service agency feels that this is acceptable when people are trying to get help and make deadlines. Its the number one worst thing about this office.

Its impossible to call the main phone number and get a response. Certain employees are not help and have a demeaning attitude. If youre helping yourself at all its harder to get benefits, forget emergency benefits!

They got my Medicaid application processed very quickly and I had my stuff approved and sent to me in the mail by weeks end. There are some minor issues with dates that need to be rectified but I can overlook that considering how quickly my application was processed as it can take up to 30 days and, as I mentioned before, I had everything done and all paperwork sent to me within the week.

DONT KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I NEED TO CALL TO GET SOMEONE TO PICK UP! No other form of contact like an email available, but it’s my fault if papers don’t get sent in time! This is the most ridiculous experience I have had EVER trying to get ahold of someone. No voicemail option? Can’t even wait for an available representative? This is absolutely ridiculous!!!!!

Im going to give the chambersburg office one star because it wont let me give them zero stars. When I went in yesterday I was verbally abused by the caseworker Mr Packer. He was extremely rude, getting loud with me, he kept telling me to be quiet and stop talking over him. I wasnt talking over him. I asked him the same question 3 times and he just kept giving me the same answer that wasnt helping me. He sat across the table with his arms crossed glaring at me the whole time. Smacked his paper down on the table and told me that I need to call to make an appointment before I come talk to him anymore which isnt true at all. He was very loud and very cross and he sent me into an anxiety attack. While I was crying and hyperventilating he literally just sat there with his arms crossed still. Tried to tell me I was wrong about my paperwork and I wasnt. One woman came over from her spot because she heard me crying and asked if she could help and what was wrong and he told her to go back to her spot he had this handled. I do not believe he deserves to have a job there, especially if thats how he treats people. The WORST trip I had to that office. I will be calling corporate to file a complaint against him. And I will be calling to change my caseworker because i will never go in to try and talk to Mr Packer again.

Guess I gotta make an appearance and drive all the way to Chambersburg to talk to somebody since Ive been calling for 2 days as soon as they open and speak to no one because they are busy already. Disappointed amd frustrated that you never can talk to a human these days and make things easier.

Well, apparently even calling your caseworker directly doesnt work. It just rings and says this number is not accepting messages at this time. Are you freaking kidding me?! I cant get ANYONE to answer the phone.
