My husband and I have been patients of Drs. Charles and Katherine Fischer for 20 years, and couldnt be more pleased with the care that weve received! Their practice strives for excellence in both state-of-the-art medical care and patient compassion. Their #1 priority is doing what is in the best interest of their patients, and they are wonderful about discussing treatment options and involving patients in making informed decisions. We have referred many friends and colleagues to Fischer Dentistry, and recommend them without reservation.

I have a fear of dentists and do not like changing a dentist once i have become comfortable with their work. However, i was brave enough to make such a change about 15 years ago and I couldnt be happier with the treatment I have received from the Doctors Fischer. As a youngster I was on a medication that affected the enamel on my teeth. I was told by my early adult hood dentist that I would probably have false teeth by the age of 30. Thanks to Dr Curt and Dr. Kathy Fischer that has not been the case. They have made every effort to save my natural teeth .Having experienced crowns, and root canals over the past years I am well familiar with the procedures. The Doctors F. make every effort to make the procedures comfortable and do so with a very caring attitude. Additionally their office staff is warm and welcoming, and they make every effort to accommodate scheduling and financing when extensive work is required.

My Experience:***Having recently moved to the area I was in a need of a dentist. After a quick search I came across this business and decided to give it a try. I originally scheduled a cleaning and went in. There were no issues at this time and the assistants were more than helpful in giving me advice. However, this experience went in the completely opposite direction after going in for a filling***One of the two main dentists pushed to get several cavities filled. Thinking nothing of it, I agreed and had the procedure performed. The problems occurred after this procedure as I was unable to eat on the left side of my mouth. I had to go back over ten (10) times due to the pain, only to have the doctor that did the original procedure make excuses as to what the pain could be from.***After the tenth visit, I persisted to talk to the other main doctor at this business. I was then informed that the tooth must have cracked during the original procedure and that a root canal would be needed to be performed. Thinking that because their business screwed up they would waive the costs associated with the procedure. I was then given petty reasons/excuses as to why they would not be able to do this. I was also then referred to one of their specialists. This was obviously unethical and Im sure illegal in some regards as they caused damage to my teeth, and instead of fixing the problem they referred me to one of their business associates for money.***After this conversation, I went to the desk and asked for my paperwork as I would no longer be going to this dentistry. $1,000 and a root canal later, I found another dentist in the area that takes pride in their work.***Obviously everyone has different experiences with things and this is no different when having anything done regarding ones health. I strongly urge people not to have any procedure performed at this dentistry due to the fact that there is no accountability. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way and have to live with having a root canal done that could have been prevented. That, along with the fact that it cost over $1,000 to have the issue resolved.

I have been seeing Dr. C. Fischer for may many years and have always had the best of care. I have been seen on very short notice because of problems that arose overnight and when I had a business trip scheduled. The entire staff has gone out of their way to squeeze me in and then devote more than enough time so that I never felt as if I had ben squeezed in. Always the best of care and comfort.

Ive been going to Fischer Dentistry since I was a kid, and while I dont love cleanings, they make them as painless as possible. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Fischer are friendly, gentle and extremely knowledgeable. The hygienists do a great job, and the front desk staff are helpful and kind. Even though I moved to Reston in 2014, I have continued to make the hike to Centreville because I love their practice so much.

Not good ...Please read allI am new to the area and found this dentist through research online. I went in and everyone was professional. There was some confusion about if I could take any x-rays yet since my insurance only covers so many a year. I did the cleaning and they put florid on my teeth, which I just assumed was part of the cleaning, but I am a little concerned this may not be covered my insurance since I have never had a dentist put on my teeth since I was a child, but I will deal with that. (Though I feel this should be explained and expectations should be very clear with matter like this.)The dentist came in and discussed a few things like getting a mouth guard, and a root canal which I had seem two specialist already and neither on of them thought that this was the best route for this issue with a tooth I have had concerns about for a few years. I had a mouth guard once and it was awful, so I was not going to do that again either. But I did not think much of that because he talked about things I would think were important to go over. Then I ended up getting my x-rays right before I was going to leave. I believe the dentist was with another patient so I was told he would look at them and get back to me. The office called and told me I had two cavities. I have had very little cavities my whole life and not one for over six years. I go to the dentist regularly, take good care of my teeth, and my old dentist never showed concerned about an area that need to be taking extra care of or it would become cavity. I ended up getting a second opinion for my own peace of mind and when I called Fischers office to ask them to send the x-rays to the other dentist the receptionist was very short with me and talked to me in a very condescending way. I explained to her I needed to do this for my own peace of mind, and that I have had a dentist experience where they told me I had a cavity and I did not.I am a new client, I have no relationship with this office at this time, I was not referred by anyone, I am paying customer, and I have every right to protect myself. It made me feel like if the office really cared about my comfort and to have me as a long lasting patient, they would have been more of a concern about making me feel assured, and not become so difficult and short. My intentions were not personal in anyway and I hope others have had a better experience then me. I really just want this to be known, because for me this was one of my biggest fears with finding a new dentist. The second opinion (by another dentist) came back that she did not see anything. Her office tried speaking with Fischers office to confirm where they saw the cavities because they did state that the images were a little blurry, but the office refused to speak to them about anything.

Before and during my wisdom teeth removal, Dr. Katherine Fischer took the time to explain every procedure she was doing. With her new state of the art tools I was confident and was in&out within 15mins. She listens to her patients and is a natural surgeon. Though I live Reston, 40 minutes away from her office, its worth the visit. I am glad to know Dr. Fisher and her staff. Very clean office and well architecture as well.

I did not have the best experience with this office, but I will give credit when needed. I felt like a service provided was not clear that I was going be charged for and when I addressed the payment today with the office, they stated that I would not need to pay. That stated that they would write it off. They apologized for any misunderstanding and the charge not being clear. It was not a lot of money, but I did feel like it was a fair decision, and I did appreciate that.

Worst experience ever!!! They made me think that my insurance card would cover the visit, they took xrays but after five minutes of work the lady from the front office came to me and told me that my insurance wont work and unfortunately I will have to pay for everything. how come? why didnt they let me know first before the employees start doing any work. The worst thing was that they were putting all the blame on me because I gave the wrong information. believe or not i a had a really bad time at this place! I lost my time and my money. very dissapointed

I have been going to the Mrs. Dr. Fischer for about 30 years. I lived in Springfield but made the trek to Centreville for all my dental needs. When I retired and moved to Locust Grove, I changed medical doctors, not wanting to make the trip to Springfield for routine medical stuff. But I continue to make the trek to Centreville for dental work. From the friendly receptionists to the friendly, competent hygenists, to the immensely capable Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Fischer...I have always been happy with them!
