My initial feeling was, wow this is a long line!! After registering at the window I was asked to wait outside in my car. Well very shortly after returning to my car I received a call from my nurse to come to the side door. I was greeted with masked smile and seen and released very shortly after that. My overall experience was much better than I expected. They treated me great listen to my needs and didnt waste my time waiting. Great place!!!

The staff was very nice and will listen to you and explain any questions you may have. I would suggest this place to anyone. 😁👍

Centralia hospital is a band aide station if u have a splinter go there if u have something serious go some where else the staff are all. Very incompetent most of the nurses are very rude they are rough with u taking blood they will not listen to u if u tell them something . the doctors dont even want to come in the room to look at you and if they do its for less then 3 mins and you dont see them agian. Absolutely the worst hospital in southren illinois please shut down

Very quick and comfortable. Had miss Darla, she came in looked at my concerning area, told me the problem and prescribed me meds for it and I was out the door. The entire experience from the minute I walked into the door to the minute I walked out was probably 20 minutes it was fantastic

I went to the clinic and it was very clean and every one was wearing masks. The staff was very professional and I got right in. There was no waiting. I was examined by the nurse and then shortly afterward by Kerry—APRN-CNP. She was very thorough and took time to to listen to my symptoms and did a thorough examination of me. I was very pleased with everyone there and felt like they were there for me as a patient. Overall very pleased.

All the staff was very sweet & caring with my sick 2year old. They all spoke directly to her and included her in the conversations. This helped her feel more comfortable around them and by the end of the visit she was talking and laughing.The provider listened and addressed all my concerns. She was very thorough during her physical assessment and gentle during covid/rsv/strep swabbing.

Had an experience that has left me uneasy for weeks.

I have visited the Express Clinic twice in the last few weeks. I was treated very well by all staff. I.e. receptionist, nurse, ex-ray technician and Nurse practitioner Kerry was very concerned for my health and was very honest and helpfull with her thoughts.This was one of the best medical visits for urgent care.The staff there have a difficult job under difficult times and have to deal with most likely unreasonable patients.Thank you Kerry, keep up the great work you do.

Polite, kind and efficient.

I tried this place about a year ago for a bad sinus infection and couldn’t get into my primary care doctor. The NP was rude and all but dismissed me when I asked what medication she was sending to the pharmacy. After I tried to calmly explain to her the Z-packs don’t work for me, she said. “Ok doctor, whatever you say” and walked out. Same situation tonight. Tried it again, checked in on the app and typed in my symptoms so they knew. When I got there I was asked my symptoms, explained that I have a sinus infection going on over a week and getting worse (I’ve had them most of my life). Because I said drainage was irritating my tonsils and they were a little swollen and red, they would not even see me. They told me to do a virtual screening for COVID-19, come back and get tested and then wait at least two days for results. All the while they were testing car after car of people for COVID just outside with very minimal PPE and not doffing it properly. Then the people administering the swabs came back into the same office. But I can’t be seen for a sinus infection. I went to Express Care of Mount Vernon and they were very professional and polite. They also wore their PPE correctly and did their jobs!!!

Its a quick and easy way to get in and out of the doctors office with no previous appointment needing to be made. I think I went in on a Sunday and they closed at 4. I get there at 3 or so. I feel like I was a bit rushed and that is expected of course because they have to see patients before closing. Everybody wants to get off work on time and not stay over. I came in for the purpose of strep throat treatment. The nurse didnt swab that far back in my throat to get to the actual white dots so I think the test came out a false negative. I tired to tell the doctor, Tina, I believe. She printed me out a helpful sheet to ease cold symptoms but I couldnt get a word in to tell her I think the test was false. I now have a left swollen lymph node and I believe it was due to strep that wasnt diagnosed because the nurse didnt actually swab back far enough where the strep was. Other than that, the staff was very nice. I feel like I should make another appointment with my PCP and not the express clinic if I dont want to feel rushed

Steroid shots suuuck...

Called June 10th due to a suspected sinus infection (Ive had them enough to know thats what it is), but since my symptoms mirrored some covid symptoms I had to be tested. Got tested the 10th results back by 230 on the 11th were negative so I asked the nurse who had called me if I could come be seen by a provider for treatment of my sinus infection and she said yeah come on i . 2 minutes later she called me back to ask how long I had symptoms, the 11th was day 5 of my symptoms and she said he wont prescribe you anything until youve had symptoms at least a week I explained I had already missed 4 days of work and all she could say was sorry. Finally on day 10 w symptoms I was able to be seen by a general practice dr and he got me on steroids, antibiotics, and an inhaler for the wheezing, all the while Im trying to work so I dont lose my job bc urgent care wouldnt treat me until Id been sick a week. I wont ever return to that center due to the events that took place last week. And right now we shouldnt have to be sick a week before a dr will give medicine that can correct the issue!

The nurse practitioner was a real rude woman. She really needs to learn better bedside manner. People come there when they are sick and or hurting. I will never go back there. I will just go to the ER. They at least treat people with compassion there.

If it was possible to give 0 Stars I would I just came from there and my doctor Deanne M was awful I told her what my issue was and its almost as though she didnt hear a word I said. She is one of those Im going to prescribe you naproxen I didnt even ask her for pain medicine for my hand all I wanted was the steroidal anti-inflammatory . Im 31 years old and you think that somebody would take me seriously if I come up to get my hand looked at for a pinched nerve and and carpal tunnel symptoms. If Im old enough to decide and suggest a medicine that has worked well for me in the past I should be able to get it. All I asked for was prednisone and I almost didnt get it. She said that she didnt think it would help or she didnt think it would work. I informed her that Ive taken prednisone before back when I worked at Continental tire and it helped me tremendously! When she said Naproxen I told her I said if I wanted to take just Ibuprofen I would go to the store and get just that. It was apparently such a big deal to her because we dont normally prescribe that here Deanne how about you asked the other doctors and nurse practitioners that work there and in the SSM company , instead of just going from your crooked opinion of oh it doesnt work. You know what doesnt work meloxicam you know what else doesnt work Naproxen.... I advise anyone thinking about going to this Clinic not to save yourself some time money and an argument and goes somewhere else.

4/14 Not real happy with first visit. I went in at 3:45pm on Sunday when they close at 4pm. I felt shuffled through quickly told they would treat for an upper respiratory infection and prescribed a zpac so they could go home. I dont feel I was really listened to by nurse practitioner. 3 days out on zpac and Im now worse, people tell me it sounds like pneumonia. Now I have to decide urgent care again here or ER since my doctor cant get me in until Thursday.Alicia was polite to me in front office and the nurse, Sue, who did listen, but then I had to repeat myself to the nurse practitioner, Nicole, just shortly after nurse left room. 🙄UPDATE 4/16: I followed up 2 days later with a different provider, Paul Havrilka and less than 24 hours out and feeling much better already. He was much more detail oriented and listened to what I had been doing. Front desk and Nurse both helpful again as well.

Took my wife and son in to be seen. I work a lot and not able to to be there and no every little thing as it happens. My wife had to rush to the bathroom when the nurse practitioner Donna came in and was very condescending and down right rude toward me since I couldnt tell her everything that went on while I was at work. They need to realize a lot of us has to work more then a 9 to 5 job. She left out of the room until my wife returned then acted like I was not even in the room.

Went there today. The front desk girl was rude, as she has been everytime I have been there. She acts like it is a chore to do her job. I work at a Drs office and I know from experience that the staff needs to make the patients feel welcome, not like a burden. I have a co-pay so I asked her if she wanted me to pay it before being seen. Her response was well, I guess if you want to. The way she carries herself is horrible. After that being said, the other staff members were very professional. I would recommend this facility but the front office needs a lot of work!

The doctor was extremely rude to me and my mother and failed to give us a clear sign of what was going on. She did not really try to understand what was going on as well. She had snippy comments and was very short with us.

Ive been here a couple of times and they are always feiendly. I never had to wait longer than 15 minutes to get a room.

This place is a joke.
