My outpatient surgery experience was top notch. Everyone with whom I came into contact was personable and professional. They inspired confidence, plus they were likable. Prep work went without a hitch.Im not just rating this because the outcome was positive. I would think these are the types of clinicians in whose care to be, especially if the news is less than cheery.I was spared driving to a larger county without compromising quality of care, and with the bonus of a more personal vibe.

I tried to take my son here last night, they had us waiting over 5 hours and there was no end in sight. My son is autistic and its hard for him to sit that long at a hospital! We had to leave! My son wasnt a priority to them! I recommend them to make a childrens ER that way children arent waiting for adults to be seen. Children need to to be seen too....

Absolutely amazing top to bottom! From the womans health ( huge shout out to Dr Mo! ), to the emergency room, and the surgery center. No one wants to be sick and dealing with unexpected health issues, but every singe step of the way, from front desk, to nurses, to doctors I was treated with amazing compassion, professionalism and care. Thank you all for helping me in a great time of need. Your work is deeply appreciated.

My sister is sitting in the ER waiting room with shortness of breath and an elevated blood pressure of 198/202. She had covid a week ago. She has been waiting for 3 hours and was told by the lady Abby at the desk that she had to wait so they can take less urgent patients first so they could spend more time on her. A young boy and his mom came in who knew her and those who worked there and they were in and out within an hour. Drive elsewhere if you can! This is one of the worst ERs around!!!!

I came to Providence Centralia Hospital today as an outpatient for a colonoscopy. While the staff were personable and got started with the procedure ahead of time, I wish they had given more time for the pain meds to kick in as I felt the scope the whole time and it was quite uncomfortable. Even after telling them this, they still didn’t wait or even give me more pain meds. Just one more bad experience at a Providence ran medical facility and I plan to find somewhere else for my medical needs in the future.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a hospital. Lazy people who don’t do their job. Pressed the call button multiple times because I needed assistance and no one came. I had to go out and get tell them to come help me, to which the nurse I talked to responded with “oh I’m doing something on the computer right now but I will have someone come help you” then sat back down on the computer outside of my room without helping me. Then since we complained, when they came to take out the iv and discharge us the nurse just ripped it off my wife’s arm and hurt her. I’m an emt I know how gently that can be done and I’ve never hurt a patient like that in my life she did it on purpose because we complained. DONT GO HERE!

I really enjoyed playing Waiting Simulator.Twice I have been here for my fiance, and both times have had to consistently call in nurses to try and get information on what is going on because we wait in the dark and no one comes. Some of the nurses are as surprised as we are that no one has showed up, or the doctor comes when we hit the call button and acts like it was their idea to walk in.I understand that hospitals are busy and everyone wants to be seen quickly but they seem to be exceptional at making people wait and then being quick to discharge someone who came to them for help and still needs that help.

1 star because I have to...My mom who was 84 with Alzheimers was brought into the ER at Centralia Providence Hospital by ambulance on a gurney with broken bones and bleeding. Immediate family were there to be by her side, but not allowed into the hospital. After waiting 2 hours out in the parking lot, were told to go home and call in the morning. The next morning one of her daughters called and again told that due to Covid restrictions still could not go in to be with her. Mom was failing fast and was obvious she was declining rapidly. We could only talk to her on the phone. At one point she told my sister she thought she might be in a hospital? 2 days after being admitted, our family received a call mom had passed and now we could come to see her. What was the difference now? Same hospital? Same room? Same nurses running around etc. What was any different now? My sweet caring mom died totally alone in a strange place, strange bed, and strange people with no one to hold her, to say goodbye and tell her how much she was loved. Your website says Covid exceptions for visitors at End of Life. Who dropped the ball here? So family is allowed in to the hospital now to see her after she has passed? And can stay as long as we wish! What was the difference now that she has passed? Meanwhile out in the parking lot as family is waiting to go in to say goodbye, 2 women walk to the ER 1 needs to be seen and the other announces she is a friend..BOTH are allowed to go onto the ER. This is all so heartbreaking and criminal. No one should die alone this way. What happened to your core values Centralia Providence Hospital? Compassion, dignity, justice, excellence and integrity! You showed none of these and Im appalled at your treatment to my poor mom and family. No one should die in your care this way. Shelly

My dear Grandmother passed away last night on comfort care in the ICU at this hospital. Each and every nurse and respiratory therapist were so sweet and gentle with her. They treated her like a human, constantly asked if she was comfortable, held her hand, etc. Although she could barely speak a word she would ask for ice cream and sure as heck someone was always happy to feed her some! hahaWhen it was time to take her off of bipap the staff took away all the noisy machines, shut off her monitor, brought us coffee, water, a tray of snacks and let us have our time with her until she passed. She passed so peacefully with the help of morphine and lorazepam so she didnt feel like she was struggling to breath. It was beautiful, special and we were so grateful to have our time together as a family surrounding her bedside and saying our goodbyes. Thank you for doing the little things for our family and for my grandma! Whenever she was admitted here for Pneumonia she wouldnt want anyone to come visit because the nurses take such good care of me. I guess I wish I would have seen her doctor more than once a day... nurses definitely do all the leg work and care for the patients more than the doctors. You ladies definitely deserve a fat raise for what you do. It was beautiful to see nurses come in to hug our family and say goodbye to grandma even if they were working in a different department that night. (Approx. 5 minutes) then taken back to a waiting area behind triage, where they then swabbed her throat for strep. They gave her a popsicle while we waited. (Approx 15 minutes). Nurse comes back with a prescription and we go on our way. The nurses were exceptional!! Lets make sure thats understood! If it werent for them it would have been 2 stars. The time was great! Literally about a half hour total. Now the reason for 3 stars.Note: we have insuranceShe never saw an actual doctor. We didnt even see a bill for 2 years and it came from collections and even then wasnt sent to the right address and took 3 months from when they sent it to get it to us.HERES THE KICKER! $2025 for normal triage, a popsicle and a strep test that cost $50 max for the strip. This literally took all but 30 minutes. All this for a 3 year old.Isnt providence being sued right now for up-coding medicare from 2011 to 2017? Sounds like theyre doing it to more than Medicare. Have had several admissions to Providence Centralia Hospital. Nearly 20 years ago they actually saved my life in a very critical situation. I had flash pulmonary edema, a condition where your lungs fill with fluid suddenly and prevent you from breathing. My husband drove me at top speed to the hospital with my head out the window trying to force air into my lungs. I was intubated and taken to the ICU on a ventilator. It was touch and go, but they pulled me through. As an RN, I was aware of my chances of survival and they were slim. My lab results were inconsistent with life, meaning only my will to live and their desperate efforts kept me alive. I have been there several times since and always had excellent care. A few times i have been transferred to St. Peters Hospital in Olympia, per ambulance, at no cost to myself. I am glad to have such a great hospital only 5 miles away dedicated to the care of local people.

After they noticed the err of their ways and said well we messed up time to give you a C Section they wheeled her into the operating room and asked me to wait while they prepped. He said what is the problem? I seen the computer screen he had my discharge already done just needed to hit enter. I told him my left ankle hurt he looked at it said it looks fine. No broken leg. I said ya its my ankle he said stay off of it and heal for a couple days should feel better. I told him it had been iced and heated for 6 days now what and he just looked at me and said nothing. I told him to hit the enter button for my discharge and Ill go. He did we left. What a joke now I have to go to Tacoma to figure out whats wrong. This was a 2 hour wait to get nothing and charged for xrays on the wrong part of my body.

I went in with lower back pain. Made to sit in a waiting room in the ER. Never taken to a bed. Oh but they had beds open like five. Took forever to get my checkout information. Not professional at all.

I was curious If JACHO was here recently...remonicing when I was a medicare surveyor. I would certainly hope that the top .notch care I got for 4 days was not a reaction to my past job. The hospitalists,, nuke med, lab, imaging, pharmacist, and nurses ... everybody weregreat ..they could not find the cause of my affliction. The aerators on the faucets are fomites for .psudomonus and legionella..like happened to UW Medical Center. The chow was supperb! Thanks😀😷🤧🤓

The After hours pediatrics in the Providence hospital located in Centralia was the worst care my daughter ever received. I took my 1 year old daughter in for vomiting and a consistent fever of 102.8 that Tylenol wouldnt reduce. When the nurse took my daughters temperature she rubbed the thermometer across her head over her hair, the nurse looked at me and said she doesnt have a fever her temperature is 97.2 I told her to check again because I had just taken her temperature before we left the house and it was 102.8. The nurse checked again and indeed the first reading was wrong the second temperature read 102. Nurse asked me if she had a runny nose or a cough I replied No. When the Doctor cane in the room he said the nurse told him she had a runny nose and a cough. The Doctor did not ask me any questions just was typing things on the computer, listen to my daughters heart and lungs and said we were good to go, I then asked what was going on and what I should do, he said its probably a bug and to give her Tylenol, I had been giving her Tylenol and keeping her hydrated with small amount of clear fluids at a time, so really I was doing everything fine already but the fact is I feel as if they didnt do their job by communicating with me or one another. Not to mention when the doctor walked in the room he had a mouthful of food and smelled like corn chips.

I had the most fantastic experience for my colonoscopy. I loved my crew the doctor, Emily RN was superb. I now hope they sent to pathology my polyp and the pictures with the chart as the picture taker may not have been working or they could not have given me a copy. We had a little problem with getting a vein, but Emilys personality made it all worth it. What a great doctor and RN. Thank you! I never got my polyp pictures however and the office should procure them. I am in Florida now. Also Dr. Thang charged me 50.00 and still in dispute. The NP made a mistake and sent me over there for HPV and could have used the same specimen for this. If you Christian oriented, why do you not help the seniors with anything. I applied probably 200 times by now and highly qualified for jobs there. I have had two calls and no followups or anything. I believe the recruiters call to appease me that thy called and never offered me a job in the two years there. Any answers.

I was there on Friday April 22, 2017 with what turned out to be an inflamed sciatic nerve.I had surgery on March 8th, and was doing well, but woke with the pain on Thursday which did not go away, then on Friday I woke with the same excruciating pain and a fever. My neurosurgeon in Seattle told me to go to the ER.Everyone at Providence was very efficient and kind. The intake rep took my info quickly and was very kind. When the intake nurse came for me she offered a wheelchair, offered to help me walk, said to take my time, and was extremely compassionate. She got me back to a bed immediately. They set me up with an IV and the doctor came in and after examining me she set up a tranquilizer/muscle relaxant and went to call the neurologist. The nurse who took the blood was capable and the blood draw painless.I felt very comfortable and confident that I was being well taken care of, and that Dr. Kim Tuan Le and my neurosurgeon in Seattle were covering this as a team. The doctor and my neurologist made a plan which included new rx and I was dispatched with directions to do a follow up appt with my surgeon.Rather than go to an outside pharmacy I just wanted to get it done, so I asked where the one in the hospital was and started slowly and painfully walking there. On my way I asked Marie the volunteer at the West Info Desk where it was, and she insisted on getting a wheelchair and taking me there. Then she told them to call her and she would come back to get me when the rx was done. They said 20 minutes which would make it 4:10pm. That was 10 minutes after her when she was scheduled to get off, but she was determined and said she would be back. At about 4:20 she returned, we got the rx, and she pushed me to my car.I cannot express what a relief it was to not walk. My gratitude abounds and I can only hope that she receives as much love as she gives to the world.I highly recommend Providence Centralia ER. I felt safe, nurtured, and well taken care of.

Worse hospital ever. Doctors got their degrees in a cracker jack box and the nurses/help dont know much either. Treat everyone like druggies and dont wanna help anyone whos in actual pain. Or tell everyone they are ok and other hospitals find the problems instantly. Google doctors. Google everything and still dont know whats wrong

Worst hospital ever. My daughter sliced her finger and was bleeding non stop. Took her to the er and had to wait for three hours after triage. There was a person with a sprained ankle and she tought it was broken so they took her in right away and all she came out with was a band aid... Had a lot of other bad experiences with this hospital but if i wrote it all down this would turn into a novel.

My special needs toddler with brittle bone disease needed x-rays. Being from out of state while visiting family here, I was prepared to be detained and was expecting to be talked to in a condencending manner about why my child had a possible broken leg without trauma especially from a hospital who doesnt know us nor have my sons medical records.Instead, we were received with care, attention, and a staff who was fully ready to listen and take my recommendations. These are fantastic people!Ostiogenesis Imperfecta & NG tube friendly and willing to take YOUR recommendations without hesitation.

This hospital should be forced to close its doors. I had surgery on my head 9/21/15 at the UW. Earlier today my pain meds ran out and the pain became unbearable so I called the UW and they told me to go to the local emergency room immediately. I arrived at Providence in excruciating pain and spoke with 3 different people over the course of a couple hours. I also provided them with an internal phone # that the UW staff gave me to help expedite things( the number was to a UW staff member that was still on duty and had the authority) and all my papework regarding my recent surgery. After approx 2 hours of sitting around in pain the Providence staff told me there was nothing they could do, that it was there policy not to prescribe pain meds on top of what another doctor previously prescribed regardless of the surgery or amount of pain. When I asked them when this policy went into affect the Providence staff member said it had always been their policy. Mind you....I had the same exact surgery in March of this year and also ran out of pain meds. I then to went to Providence and they prescribed me a pain med that was even stronger than my surgeon initially provided What policy was that again?). In addition....tonight while at providence not a single person even looked at the area my recent surgery took place, interesting as i was in obvious pain and there was still dried blood surrounding the area. Shouldnt they have taken the time to at least look??? Ive no doubt they will still be billing...and for what? To make matters worse.... I was pretty damn upset so Ive no doubt my voice had risen a few octaves......so providence was kind enough to send in their security. Upon leaving the whole ordeal was a bit much and I doubled over and nearly passed out right outside their front doors....not a single staff member raised a finger. I will definitely be seeking the advice of council. These people have no business providing medical care to anyone.....it was by far the most unpleasant experience Ive ever had with the medical industry in my 47 years. I actually felt as if I was being accused of being a drug abuser, the only thing they kept repeating was that pain meds were often abused. Again.....I was 4 days removed from head surgery, had all paperwork in order, Confidential contact phone numbers for my surgical team who told me to go there. As if thats not enough....i was so in pain and upset by the time I got home that I was distracted and fell on my steps hurting my back...where do i go? I cant trust the only Emergency room around. I guess I wait and make an appoitment with my provider hoping things dont get worse. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF ITS TRULY AN EMERGENCY....THEY WILL LET YOU DIE! Unless of course your some homeless junkie.....then they will treat you and send me and the rest of us the bill. FU Providence....See u in court!

If I could put less than one star I would. They refused to keep a patient overnight for suicide watch after a large overdose of Topomax with no stomach pump AND the doctor refused to talk to her parents until hours after admitting her into her room. Terrible care and I worry the medical professionals in the building may be undereducated.

I was yelled at for vomiting too loudly. Then the nurse that yelled at me would walk by she would say nasty things to me like I was faking, and being over dramatic. She even yelled at me for praying Im atheist I was praying that she would not treat me and I made sure she did not treat me.She gave me nasty looks any time she could. Dont give them the chance to hurt you.
