Thanks a lot LA FITNESS , the vicinity is clean and organize, equipments are odorless, nothing to worry about. The basketball area, jacuzzi and pool were great too. Sales and operations are good and respectful people. they get stuff done with a smile on their faces ! the workout environment is chill and laidback. no judgment from others and usually quiet since everyone is listening to their own music.

By far the cleanest and most organized gym I have gone to. All the machines are easy to find and the bathrooms are spotless and well scented. The staff are very nice and energetic.

My first experience with LA Fitness in Centereach was quite a magical one. After signing up for my membership with this stud who called himself James, it instantly felt like home. Just when i thought this place can’t get any better, front desk girl Katrina welcomes me to the LA Fitness community by pointing out where different machines are! Shortly into my workout, a woman by the name Raquel accidentally bumped into me while re- organizing the weight rack (amazing) and i told her how this was my first time here. She went on to tell me about the awesome benefits of exercising and how i can always come to her if there’s an issue within the gym. She felt like the mom i never had.If you’re looking for a 5 star gym as well as a 5 star experience, LA Fitness Centereach is where it’s at.

Came in today to ask about a guest pass. I was greeted by James who was very welcoming and professional. Without any hesitation he gave me a guest pass and provided me with several membership options. Even though I dont live in the area but visit seldom, I think I will purchase a membership anyways because of how I was welcomed. This gym is also super clean, organized and massive.

What a great location! sauna and hot tub is open! i was waiting for this day for so long! the staff and especially Raquel the manager got it done! also basketball is open if youre into that too. BEYOND THRILLED.

Workout here was easy . No pressure from sales and they explained everything from monthly to yearly plans to save me money . Professional staff all dressed accordingly so I knew who worked here if I ever have a problem. Plenty of sanitizers and I am able to take a bottle with me on the floor to use . Good policy

My daughter and I went into gym for a pass and the sales manager gave us a tour and honest pricing without sales hassles . I was able to get the gym for $1 a day average . Weights are sanitized and put away with staff on floors walking and cleaning . Would recommend

Years of training at a few locations in my area of selden I decided to stop at this gym tonight . People there friendly and helpful with a major concern of being clean. Sprays and disinfectants all over the gym. Manager gave me a no pressure walk around and discount holiday price so I said ok let’s do it . 5 star joint !

Classes were cool and social distancing was in order . Coming from another studio I did feel comfortable here and I’m joining for the year offer

The centereach gym is quiet, clean, and not as busy as the rest the other locations. I travel 30 minutes, and past 3 la fitnesses to go this one.

Nicer gym than others in area . Had a billing issue and these guys helped me out professionally . Cleaned nicer weights too

Prestige condition after going to other gym close by. My decision to choose centereach LAFITNESS was due to clean bathrooms and treadmills . I didn’t want to workout in a dirty place after COVID 19. Love this locations

Awesome environment .Moved back to NY after pandemic due to my job being lost in another state . Was a member here back in 2015 and the gym was much better with strict rules on masks and sanitized while I was working out the staff was constantly cleaning and spraying for our safety . Well worth the money in this gym . Social distancing was enforced with plenty of workout options still available

Timings are straight trash

Wide open Gyms. Most have swimming pools and Yoga classes. I always see someone cleaning so makes me feel better. I dont leave any of my stuff in lockers so cant comment about theft. I have seen machines broken but repaired within the week. I think that is getting better. As customers we should police ourselves. I re-rack my own weights. Just takes a few extra seconds. Makes for a better gym when everyone contributes.

Great atmosphere. Plenty of machines. You rarely have to wait for equipment. Nice staff and a place to watch your kids. Awesome classes and fitness training available.

The amenities like the pool, sauna, etc are great. But to switch from planet fitness and pay more money here when the machines clearly need an upgrading because the pulleys squeal when you use them and the weights are never racked properly is a little disappointing.

Went here because my friends said it was affordable. Met with James manager of club and he gave me a good deal and also helped me learn the machines. Good people

Love this LA Fitness. Its big, fairly clean, and always with empty machines. The cleaning crew does a decent job. The pool and sauna are nice to have amenities.

I personally like this location more than Lake Grove and their Port Jeff locations. Those two are either too big or have a very uncomfortable vibe to them. Id rather take the 17+ minute drive over the 5 minute one to ger better service and a better workoutI hope this helps and enjoy your workout!!

Joined this gym almost a year ago and loved it at first. Over the past few months it has gone downhill. The bathroom stalls are always disgusting, as well as the locker areas. Half of the sinks dont work and the toilets arent clean. There are always several treadmills broken, sometimes I find myself having to get off and switch multiple times because they are not working properly. The cardio machines are rusted and dirty. The smoothie bar has been closed since well before I joined. The gym has become overly crowded - I go at a time when it is the least busy and still find myself unable to use the weights/weight machines that I want because they are always taken. Its extra frustrating because a majority of the time the people taking up these machines are actually just sitting and chatting with their friends and not actually working out. I hardly ever see anyone cleaning the machines after using them, so I end up having to clean them myself. Not to mention that the employees are so unfriendly and care more about gossiping with each other than greeting the people who pay money to use this gym. After 2 months of debating and being very unhappy here, I am canceling my membership and going elsewhere.

The only reason why i dislike going to that gym is because the cleaning lady is EXTREMELY LOUD and rude. She goes around slamming her cart left and right as well as singing and whistling out loud, SLAMMING the toilet seats down hard when cleaning the bathroom and has NO REGARD for the customers trying to have a nice relaxing experience. She talks in her cell phone in the women’s locker room, and is just unprofessional. Is it too much to ask to have some respect for the people around you being that this is supposed to be a gym/spa? I have witnessed this behavior on multiple occasions, time and time again, and Management does nothing about it!!! Additionally people dry their underwear in the sauna which is just totally unsanitary because you end up inhaling the steam/bacteria....

I went to use the medicine balls so I could work out my abs but apparently they are now only used for personal training and not available to those who dont pay extra on top of the already expensive fees. The personal training area had no one in it and every time I am there there is no one, if there was someone in the area I would understand but no one was or has ever been in there. If youre looking to use some medicine balls go somewhere else!

First off, this place is a mess. Weights all over the place, machines broken for weeks, lockers broken, pool closed frequently for repairs, temps too high so I swear the whole time. But their fully staffed sales team will be happy to sell you a membership!!My mom died while having an active plan here and they sent us bills for months demanding we pay the account in full. After numerous phone calls explaining that she died Id had enough. Finally I went down in person and spoke to the Jersey Shore looking manager, telling him Id like to sign up under my own name and close my deceased mothers account. I even had a death certificate in hand. This idiot actually tells me that hell persuade corporate to let me pay half of her bill. She died months ago, I reply, and you charged her credit card until the bank cut you off. You actually owe us money, I say. He scoffs. So if I want a membership I have to pay my deceased moms overdue account? Right. I went to the Lake Grove facility and they gave me no hassle. No broken machines. Nice cool temps. Avoid these Centereach bottom feeders at all costs.

If u go, sign up with salesmen myke, he gives u such a good deal on the membership. Wish when I first signed up in 2011 he was there at the time. Anyway, gym is organized and clean compared to other la fitnesss.

My family & I have used the LA Fitness in Centereach & Lake Grove for a while. Weve always had good experiences. The machines are well maintained, the group workout instructors are great (especially Angelica!), & the overall facility is well taken care of. The front staff are friendly but dont usually talk much; but you only see them when you scan your card so they can completely ignore you & not ruin your gym experience.

This by far is the worst of all the La fitness I have attend I come here regularly because it’s close but the weights all always all over the place locker rooms are messy paper all over the place.But today takes the cake.This morning I come to work morning the Gyn doors are locked had to weight 35 minutes before finally someone showed up to open up!!! This Gym sucks.La fitness in generally usually are decent Gyms but this one is a Dump.

Tried this gym as I will be moving to the area and need to find one. Seemed clean and not too busy for it being early afternoon, however, it had limited weight machines, some broken pieces of equipment, and Im pretty sure not a single dumbbell was re-racked in the correct place. Ive never seen such a mess at a gym, sets of dumbbells werent even next to each other and no where near being in ascending/descending order by weight. Probably took months of neglect for them to get so mixed up; worried that means the gym will quickly go downhill like all other LAs Ive been to because clearly staff doesnt care enough to maintain the place. Unfortunately, may end up signing up here as there is not many other options, but I suggest looking elsewhere for a gym membership. LA never seems worth the money

I am a member, i always find the equipment dirty, dirty tissues and napkins, sweat marks. There is no enforcement to keep the gym clean. And this is just the workout floor changing room are absolute mess. Floors are always wet and slip hazard. No signs of caution. The front staff is always on their phones or gossiping rather than helping out the janitorial staff in keeping the gym clean and tidy.

I actually enjoy coming to this location, friendly staff, awesome instructors and clean environment. Kids club staff is very good. Interacts with children.

Very helpful staff! Mr.Rook did a great job at explaining what the gym had to offer and I’ve had a great experience at the gym since then.

The staff is nice, and I love the equipment. However, I wish it was kept cleaner. Machines often have spilled drinks, and greasy fingerprints on them. Entrance has a run down look. If more attention was given to these items, it would be the #1 gym in the area.

Workout floor cleanest of all the gyms i have been to along with easy signup and no pressure from manager who i must say was awesome. James gave me a tour and free water bottle and towel with free assessment from trainer

Love the classes but need to go to different locations to get in the classes I want.

The good- lots of machines and you dont really ever have to wait for equipment. The bad- some of the equipment is older/broken and doesnt really get fixed. Its more expensive than some of the other gyms around but has good classes and a pool.

Bobby was so helpful , he is the best !! Come and see him if yall want to get a membership. Everyone here is so nice and this is the place to be if you want to get in shape!

Went to this location as my gym was being renovated and seen a nicely put together class selection as well as a clean facility. Would think of joining once my term expires at my current gym.

Staff is very polite and the facility is clean/well kept. Recommending this LA Fitness all my gym-friends!

Dedicated parking lot makes access easy. Even during busy hours theres plenty of equipment available. Clean facility with friendly staff.

This gym is filthy, sometimes the locker rooms arent cleaned for weeks, paper towels arent refilled in a timely manner, weights are rarely reracked and none of the employees enforce this rule which leads to wasted time looking for the weights you need.The sauna has been down for weeks with no info as to when it would be fixed, paying for premium amenities you would think there would be more urgency in repairing equipment/amenities.The only reason I gave this gym more than 1 star is because there are plenty of machines and wait times arent too long even when its busy. Besides that, most of the employees are no help and some are even rude, management needs to change at this location immediately or theyll lose my membership once another premium gym opens up in this area.

Please read the hundreds of reviews about the billing practices of LA fitness before joining this gym.Even if you signed up for a moth to month membership they will do everything possible to charge you FOREVER even if you insist repeatedly that you want to cancel membership.While joining online or on the phone is easy, if you ever want to cancel they will insist that you come to their location during business hours OR YOU CANNOT CANCEL. This is for your own protection. They know that most people are not able to come to the gym during business hours so they do this on purpose so they can continue charging you. Furthermore after youve come and cancelled in person they will STILL continue charging you.If you ever call corporate to cancel, they will hang up the phone. You can call your local gym and speak to the operations manager and they too will refuse to cancel your membership.There are many reviews online about how customers were charged thousands of dollars after thinking they walked in and cancelled. They try to never cancel. You owe $$$ forever to them even if you moved to another country or belong to a new gym.If you go on yelp, you will see how filthy this particular location is. The employees are pushy trying to sell you memberships and products you dont want and need - and can never cancel!Note that all of the negative reviews here are written in detail and all of the 5 star reviews are blank. They have no problem posting fake reviews clearly.There have been class action lawsuits against this messed up business before but somehow they find loopholes to get away with these slimy business practices.Anyone who dares join after this review, at least join with a prepaid card so they cant charge you forever and ruin your credit.

Worse experience with the manager, short guy I think his name was Anthony. On March 2nd 2018 around 8:30 pm as I was trying to explain to the manager, which is the best option pay plan for me; since I visit that Lafitnes only 2 days a month. In the mean time my girlfriend was trying to explain to me in Greek that if I paid 15$ every time visit it, would be the best option. As a respond I reacted and said to her let the guy explain, since he is the one who works here, he knows better. He thought that I was fighting with my gf and told me that he was going to kick me out of the gym if i talk to her again like that. Me and my girlfriend got surprised by his reaction. He shouldnt had gotten involved in our conversation and he shouldnt had told me get out of the gym otherwise he was going to call the police on me. What a crazy guy. Sorry but next time Mr manger Latrines the proper way to explain to couple such a thing better say guys if you have any argument please take care of it out of the gym. Very bad management.

Place is decent. Basketball courts however are brutal. Both rims are broken and bounce around. Floor is like an ice rink, needs to be waxed desperately. People get hurt often frpm floor being subpar. Please wax the floor. Sincerely ICEBERG

The place needs an overhaul. Messed up ceiling tiles and old elliptical machines. They are rusted and old. The Stride machines - you cant plug in to the tv either. The Beverage center has been closed for a long time and the locker room - the lockers are all banged up. Needs help.

The location is old but maintenance is OK. Size, cleanness, shower an sauna are average.

I am a new member at LA Fitness since January and appreciate the choice of machines to use, but am very disappointed at the extreme dirtiness and unorganized free weight area. Regretfully its very time consuming to search for dumbbells and also to find weight benches loaded with weights. I hope that management will make an effort to clean up and organize the areas on a daily basis. Also, have members begin to have gym etiquette and routinely put weights back and clean up after themselves.

1 out of the 2 LAs on Long Island that are actually decent in my opinion. Yes, their sauna was broken for like 2 months lol but its not as busy and I can find the weights I want to use !
