Dr. Melamed is a good surgeon. He managed to remove a brain tumor in a tricky place that I wasnt expecting him to be able to completely get out. Not only that, his bedside manner is excellent. Dr. Melamed is calm, compassionate, earnest, and very willing to listen to my concerns and leave the final informed decisions up to me. Im so grateful that he was my doctor for this frightening procedure. Follow up has been perfect as well. His staff are all warm and caring as well. I never had to wait at any of my multiple office visits, and he came and visited me in hospital for almost each of the five days I was there post-surgery.

I have tried to reach this office for 2 months now!! No one ever answers the phone. No one ever responds to the emails I send. How does he stay in business? Maybe they arent in business any longer. Beyond frustrated.

The Doctor showed genuine concern, and answered all my questions. He presented in an easy to understand way all of my options.He also explained why it would not be necessary to get additional MRI thus saving me money!I would definitely recommend!

I saw Dr. Melamed for a lower spine fracture. He didnt jump straight to Lets cut you open!. Instead multiple options were given, he even sent me a link to a study that showed one option might not be the best idea for someone prone to falls and fractures. Overall an excellent doctor to see when complicated problems arise.Very knowledgeable - references research data relating to possible treatments.Informs patient - gives information on what routes one could take for treatment to allow patient to make better decisions.Listens to patient - addresses concerns and asks patient how they would like to proceed.Flexible - followup doesnt always require an office visit.

I was referred to Dr Melemed by my pain management Dr. At Lutheran spine center. I had severe sciatic pain to the point of not able to walk unassisted, it was very hard to get about. Dr Melemed was very easy to work with, made me feel very comfortable, explained all options to me. He performed surgery on my low back.
