Our family has been going to Smoky Hill Family Medicine for years and will continue to do so because of the great service and care we consistently receive. Just today one of our daughters stepped on a treble fishing hook while barefoot. Even though they didnt have any available appointments, the front office staff took the time to talk to the medical staff about our situation and then had us come right over. They were able to work us in within approximately 30 minutes of arriving as PA Jennifer Pearson willingly gave up part (or all) of her lunch time to get the hook out. This unexpected, above-and-beyond level of care saved us from having having to go to urgent care. If you are looking for a family practice that will take care of you and take the time to get to know you as a person, then this is the practice for you.

I went to my appointment today to find out that it had been cancelled. This was an urgent appointment, so I was really distraught about it.-Apparently they had been texting, emailing, and calling me to confirm my appointment. I had received the voicemails, but assumed it was just to make sure that I filled the paperwork out ahead of time, which I did. I never received any texts or emails.-Heres the thing... I understand why the appointment was canceled. But to be dealing with something already really stressful and then feel like the office staff didnt care at all was really what turned me off. The appointment times that they were giving me to make up for cancelling my appointment today were midway through the next month. The cherry on top was that they charged me my copay BEFORE telling me that my appointment had been cancelled.-I wish them all the best, but wanted to write this so that any future customers can have realistic expectations of what the wait time is like. Also to hopefully encourage Smoky Hill Family Medicine to look into their communications system. I double checked my phone number and email was correct and never received any of the automated communications, only the voicemails.

This is the nicest most responsive family clinic I’ve every been too!! So much time is taken with me and my husband. They are very responsive to messages and phone calls!! I’m just so happy to find a place that really cares!!

Wow! I was looking for a new primary care office because I wasnt happy with mine anymore after some recent staff changes.This practice was recommended to me by a co-worker and I am so glad I decided to call. I saw Mikal and she is a WONDERFUL PA. I feel like she actually listened and cared about my concerns and well-being and is wanting to work with me to get my health back on track. She is very easy to relate to. I actually cried when I got to my car afterwards because I felt like I was actually being cared for! I had no problems with the front office staff or the medical assistant that took my vitals - they were all very nice. I will be going back in about a month to check my progress and have a full physical.I highly recommend this practice!

Love the doctors, starting to minimize visits due to staff interactions. Again, Joel & Liberty are great and well worth seeing.

We have been going to Smoky Hill Family Medicine for about 15 yrs. When hubby was having some gut problems the doc in the office immediately sent us over to Centennial medical center for a scan. Turns out he had a blockage and cancer. Would have died if we had not immediately got to the ER in Parker after the scan. Great practice!

They overcharged us for their services. If you are on a high deductible plan, you need to stay away from them.

Dr. Amador is amazing

Im 66 years age. Many years I have assistance from Dr. Joel Shebowich and office staff. Every my visit to doctor I have attention and respect. I have correct treatment if it needed. Currently I have pretty good physical condition and my health is well. Usually Dr. J. Shebowich make correct treatment and I take minimum the medicine. Thank you doctor and office staff for your very helpful job!Val M Lenoff

Have been going to practice for about 20 years. Care has been ok but feel that the recent addition of an annual fee per patient, paid by patient, is not acceptable.

They are friendly.
