After two months of pure hell, this girl did a month of board and train with Dave. Words cannot express the value and wealth of knowledge Dave provides to these pups and to us dumb humans. Night and day difference. My young children can now handle her, and she is a joy to take on walks, hikes and socialize with friends and family. Thank you so much, Dave ❤️

You have all the needs for your new puppy. Bed, kennel, food, treats. BUT THE BEST GIFT you could give him/her is Puppy Camp with Dave. He understands the way dogs think and interacts with them to make them wonderful members of your family. He has trained two Dobermans for me and I cans say enough good things about how they turned out. Considering the last was the puppy from hell that says a lot. We travel a lot and it is important that Dave turns out well-adjusted dogs. Ready to take on the world with manners! I just cant say enough about how great Dave is and how important a good trainer is for your new family member.

I started bringing my Rottweiler to Dave when he was a little over a year old. I had been doing some training with him on my own ever since he was eight weeks old but he has a strong personality and is very dominant so things became a little more challenging before I decided to bring him to Dave.I recently moved out of state but would have continued to take him for training if I still lived in the area.Dave and I initially started on working on basic obedience. These are all things my dog knew but would do, or not do based on his mood. We worked at getting him to listen even when he did not want to do it. This took some time and a lot of work for me to do on my own but the result was well worth it.After his obedience training was sound, we decided to test him for protection work and see how he would react. Since he showed good traits for that we decided to move on to that and see what we could do with him.By the time I moved out of state, my dog was 100% good off leash even in a city and was able to do advanced protection work.Since I moved I have taken him downtown in large crowded cities without any issues and feel 100% comfortable having him off leash at this point. At the same time I know that he will protect me or my family if the situation warrants it or if I tell him to. I also feel confident that he will stop on command if I tell him.My dog is now about two and a half years old and has really turned into a good well rounded dog that listens to me even in difficult situations. He is still intact and is still very obedient despite that.Although I laid some groundwork before taking him to Dave and did a lot of work on my own even after we started working together (training a dog will always require work from the actual handler), I dont think I could have gotten him to the level he is at now on my own.If you are willing to establish a good relationship with your dog and do the work you have to do on your own then it is well worth it to see Dave. If anything I wish I would have started with him earlier than I did.I definitely recommend Dave Coop for anyone wanting a well behaved obedient dog.

Dave Coop is above and beyond a great dog trainer. He trained my very large German shepherd and we were so impressed with his professionalism and his approach with training that our dog almost immediately began to respond to his training. You can tell that Dave loves dogs. We trusted him enough to board our dog for his training and when we picked him up he was a happy dog and looked great and so well trained. We highly recommend Dave Coop for any of your dog training. We have been back for more training and still believe him to be the best.

Dave was recommended to me by a friend and I gave him a call when my gsd was about 10 weeks old. We started basic obedience training with her right away. Dave and his partner Caleb definitely know what they are doing and understand the way the dogs brain develops and they incorporate that into the training. I really liked how he tailored the program to me and my dog and her individual progress each week. It was a very educational and rewarding experience for both me and my pup. She is now six months old and completely off leash trained. I would definitely recommend the Canine College!

Dave has been wonderful in helping train both of our dogs! I call him the Caesar Milan of Colorado. Hes very patient yet authoritative. The dogs respond well with him and he answers any and all questions I have. I had (mistankingly) taken my dog to another trainer for a series of training and the trainer there told me to pay additional just to learn how to keep my dog from jumping. The first session with Dave he gave me great training tips and when I asked about jumping he told me exactly what to do to correct the behavior. I cant wait for the next session. I will never take my dogs (and future dogs) to anyone else! Dave Coop is the best there is!! Thank you Dave!!

I am so happy with the training we received from Dave Coop. He was a perfect fit for our 7 month old Cane Corso, Moose. I know Moose is going to be a very strong and excited dog and at only 7 months, I had a very hard time walking, making him come, sit, ride in a car, and relax when he needed to. He was evaluated by Dave, and then based on Moose’s needs, he explained the approach he would use to guide Moose. I wanted Moose to stay/live with Dave for 4 weeks of training. I truly feel this is best for our dog and what a great experience! Moose no longer pulls me down the road while walking and I can take him ANYWHERE! Dave helped Moose with his confidence and helped him grow. Moose is 10 months now, he will only continue to grow bigger and stronger, but what he learned from Dave will last a lifetime. When I picked up Moose, I was so excited to see my dog very well behaved. Dave trained me so that I could continue what he instilled in Moose. I was even more excited when Moose did not throw up in the car because he was given so much confidence!Moose and our family highly recommend Dave Coop’s talents for your dog’s training! We are looking forward to a long relationship with Dave.

Spent two months scheduling an appointment and drove two hour to get there. Arrived at his door to nobody home. Called and learned from his voicemail inbox that Dave is longer taking clients. Thanks for wasting my time without the decency to at least call. 👎

Started working with Dave with my 9 week old German Shepherd, Berlin. We are now at 6 months old and she behaves both off and on leash. Tonight she layed by the door and waited for us to empty the dishwasher without getting up from her spot!Couldnt be happier in the progress we have made and everyone comments on how well behaved of a puppy she is.

I highly recommend Dave Coop and Canine College. Though I call Colorado my home base, I have been working with an anti-poaching group in Kenya and Tanzania on and off for years. During one of these extended working stints, I was attacked, robbed and badly assaulted by three men outside of Nairobi, just 3 days before I was to return to the States. I was already contracted to go back to Africa the following year to work in Samburu, the Maasai Mara and the Serengeti for a whole year. I decided that I was not going back to Africa unless I had a huge dog with me. I located a breeder and purchased a King Shepherd. Mojo was a big 6 month old pup when I initially took him to Dave to begin his training. He would grow to be 110 lbs by the time we were scheduled to return to Africa in 2013-2014. Not only did Dave Coop take Mojo through the Obedience training that gave him a solid foundation for getting his Certification as my personal Service Dog. (I now have balance issues and PTSD that resulted from my attack) But we didnt stop there. I took Mojo back to Dave for Protection training as well. I was incredibly impressed and pleased with the results. We recently returned to work in Kenya again and Mojo went through Tracker training there. He would go on patrol with our anti-poaching rangers and several times he successfully tracked down and pinned, poachers who had just killed elephants for their Ivory or Rhinos for their horn and were trying to make off with their bloody spoils. His tracking service directly resulted in the prosecution and imprisonment of several poachers. When he wasnt on patrol with our rangers, he was with me at our bush camp or riding shot-gun in my Land Rover. I have always felt safe with him by my side and have never had to worry that Mojo was a Loose Cannon. I feel that through Dave Coops Obedience training and by him building a solid foundation for Mojo, plus Daves guidance and training for ME, as his owner, we have become an incredible once-in-a-lifetime team. We recently returned to Colorado permanently, and there is nowhere that we have gone where people do not comment on how incredibly well trained and behaved Mojo is. I credit Dave Coop for that. Mojo has now sired 25 King Shepherd pups from three litters and I have highly recommended Dave Coop to every one of my new puppy owners for any of their future training. FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!

I called Mr. Coop to have him assist me in the training of my 7 year old english bulldog who is having incontinence issues. His response was wait a year and the problem will fix itsself. Call me when you have a puppy. I asked him what he meant and he said, Bulldogs dont typically live past 8.I cant believe the lack of sensitivity and disinterst. Mr. Coop should either obtain some sensitivity training or get into a new profession. What a moron! This comment speaks volumes. Go to someone who actually cares about your animal. Obviously, thats NOT Mr. Coop.
