Our son has been attending classes at One World Karate for several years. Our son is on the Autism Spectrum and the classes at One World Karate have provided more effective physical fitness than any physical education class he has had in school. His experience at One World Karate has improved his discipline, focus, and confidence. People of all abilities are welcome, which provides a supportive and welcoming environment for students and their families. Dan Carroll and his team are phenomenally patient and exceptionally talented with encouraging and inspiring their students. We look forward to the opening of One World Rec Center. We know that its presence will be invaluable to the community.

I attended One World Recreation Center during their grand opening. I was very impressed that all of his employees had challenges in different areas. He was so organized with everyone assuming a role. Some employees were welcoming people while others were working in the coffee area. Dave has a vision for all abilities. His desires to have a place where all are welcome and has provided some very structured activities for kids after school. He has opened his heart and time to make a place well all of our children feel welcomed.

1 World Karate is a great place for people of all abilities. Dan is very knowledgeable about the different needs people have and has the experience to put it into action. He is a great teacher to all of his students. I have been a student for about 5 years and an assistant instructor for 2 years. Dan has taught me a lot on how to teach students of different abilities, but there is still much to learn from him.

We are so grateful for finding this place! Our son loves going and has wonderful teachers to help him stay focused. Really inclusive place for all kids with all kinds of abilities. They really do a great job at improving their attention, social skills, control of their bodies in order to face the real world! We love this place!

We started 1 World Karate in May of this year. Our daughter has a hard time joining new things and sticking with them. My husband and I could not be more please with the way the class runs and how Dan Carroll has handled her when she has been more difficult. Once she gets started in the class, Dan has made modifications to movements and his directions for her when needed. He (and the other teachers) are very patient, respectful, but they also hold her accountable for what she is responsible in doing.

Phenomenal studio, staff and owner! Each staff member works very well with the students providing valuable skills not only karate, but also in discipline, leadership, and confidence. I highly recommend One World Recreation Center.

Awesome addition to the Cedar Park community! After school programs, Martial Arts, Dance, Yoga, something for everyone. Great mission focused on inclusion of all kids and families. Would highly recommend to family and friends!

My kids have been attending One World Karate in Austin, for two years now. Saya Dans program is open to children and adults of all abilities. That alone is an, understatement. He tailors his program to each individual student. He knows their strengths and weaknesses. He and his staff work with each student to help build strength and overcome obstacles. There is no other program like it.Both of my boys have thrived in this environment. They have/are growing stronger physically and mentally. Their confidence in trying new things, and stepping outside of their comfort zone is, amazing. Saya Dans classes have given them the extra boost they needed. And, they continue to amaze us, as they progress.Neither of my sons wouldve fit into a traditional program. The mental stress alone wouldve only caused more problems. We are so thankful that this program was available for themWith that being said, the One World Recreation Center is just an extension of what he has offered in North Austin. This program will reach many more families in our community, and offer career opportunities to them as well.

My 5 year old had been attending One World Karate for 6 months now. We love it! Kiddo has a great time in class, and Saya Dan is super patient and kind.

Most after school facilities do not accommodate children with disabilities. Some try but they are ill equipped to handle the unique needs of this population and somebody ends up saying, “this just isn’t going to work”. Enter One World Rec Center, specifically created to include everyone. It is much needed in our community

Saya Dan has an amazing talent to work with students of all abilities, bringing out their best efforts. My daughter has worked with Saya Dan for several years. Its an extra curricular activity that were sticking with! Shes wiser and stronger with the One World martial arts training.

We absolutely love One World karate! Saya Dan is the most awesome instructor ever! My grandson has high functioning autism. While he is high functioning as far as speech and communication go, he is extremely low functioning in behavior. He is very challenging, even during his karate classes. Saya Dan has been extremely patient, yet stern with him. He is an awesome male role model for him. He has gone ABOVE and BEYOND in instructing my grandson in karate, as well as in teaching him coping skills. The other instructors there are awesome as well, very patient and kind and extremely skilled.I am forever grateful for all of the help Saya Dan and his team have given my grandson. He has been attending for over a year now, and we plan to keep him there. Saya Dan is not only an excellent karate teacher, but he also has a background as a special education teacher, so he has extremely high skills in dealing with children with special needs of all kinds.
