If you have cancer, then I hope you find a doctor like Dr. Bala. From the start she has been careful to explain each step and make sure that I and my family feel comfortable. Four years later she continues to monitor my health in general, answering any questions or concerns we have. The staff at Texas Oncology have been caring, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Dr. Bala saved my life. I recommend her to every person I meet. She is understanding, compassionate, highly intelligent, and has the expert ability to explain difficult concepts and information to make them easily relatable. She listened and answered all my questions and guided me through my treatment every step of the way.

Dr. Bala, in cooperation with an entire team, plays a large role in providing state of the art care; in conjunction with techs and staff, partnered oncologists, and amazing coordinators, everything just works.There is a clear understanding as a patient/client, you are the most important part of that team. They listen, ask questions, show great concern when there are components one shares outside the general algorithms, which is where growth occurs. This Team is great at this and more. In those deeper details, you soon understand project coordination is spot on, leaving out no detail.Highly recommend anyone to take the time and research the difference. I have to thank Dr. Bala and her team for the care that Ignacio has had since October when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Dr Bala was GREAT! She explained the process of how my cancer treatment would go and what to expect as it progressed. She always answered any concerns I had regarding how I was responding to treatment or what I should expect so I would not be surprised when certain things occurred. I really appreciated her thoroughness in making sure I received the best care during this difficult time.

I like her a lot. She listens more to me than my previous oncologist. The only thing I do not like is when she has the intern with her in the exam room accompanying her on her visits. I know this is probably a teaching assignment for her, but it also seemed to hamper my interactions with her (they are not as spontaneous even from her), even though he does not say anything, he still is there and I am acutely aware of him.

Best Doctor ever. Tracks my progress, and get all my concerns the first time.

Dr bala has been my oncologist and hematologist for 9 years treating me for stg 4 melanoma and hemochromotosis.. Ive been a patient at MDA for the last 9 years also and i feel Dr Bala has, in every way been every bit as helpful,informative and aggressive in treating me. Shes a super person witha great personality and one that i have trusted the entire time. Im really glad she is my Oncologist. And her staff is excellent!

Dr. Lakshmi Balasubramanian is professional yet personable. I am impressed with her practicality as well. In these days of COVID19, her office practices very careful distancing and related health and safety measures, which I find reassuring.

We do not see eye t o eye. She is rude to me and wont communicate with me or let me ask questions.

Dr. Bala is an excellent doctor, she has been taking care of my wife, who has lung cancer, for almost 6 years now and she is doing well.

In many ways she saved me. She help me make numberous decions throughout my pregnacy and other surgical proceedures with my wierd blood that kept everything where it should be.
