My husband was diagnosed with a rare form of ALS that also caused dementia. At the age of 51, we could not find an acceptable care facility for him due to his comparatively young age. Priscilla Duran, the executive director of Harmony Point Memory Care not only agreed to allow my husband to become a resident at the facility, she ensured that his transition and stay there would be successful. Throughout the time my husband lived at Harmony Point, the care increased steadily under Priscillas exemplary management. Long-time staffers like Felicia and Allison cared for my husband like he was their own, and newer staff members like Francis and Samaura provided us with peace of mind people rarely feel when a family member is living in an assisted living facility. Each member of the care team knew my husbands habits and needs intimately. He was so comfortable at Harmony Point, he never once asked to come home. The amazing, caring, patient and expert care he received was second to none. Until his very last day, my husband was treated with kindness, love, and yes, even humor. Our family feels very lucky that Priscilla took a chance on my husband and allowed him to reside at Harmony Point when he was rejected by at least 20 facilities due to his young age. He wound up where he belonged, and until his death, he felt secure and loved by the staff of Harmony Point, passing away in his favorite recliner surrounded with the people who genuinely cared about him.

Their food and care for my mom was poor. I tried the food several times and wouldn’t feed it to my pet. She fell in the area where they eat during meal time and no one could report seeing it. They are suppose to have minimum two care givers their at all times. Her room always smelled horrible. I moved her after the fall incident that put her in the hospital.

Very nice family oriented staff. They’re always so welcoming. From the second I walk in the front doors, I have Allison greeting me with a smile. I never have any problems when needing assistance with anything, staff is always ready to lend a helping hand. This is a great facility always so well maintained and the residents are always smiling and well taken care of.

Harmony Point Memory Care has been a wonderful place for my dad!! He was devastated after my mom died, but the caring staff brought him out of his shell and gave him a new lease on life. The activities director, Becky, has been such an encouragement to him. She always goes above and beyond to provide the residents with multiple fun activities every day. Becky makes each one of them feel seen and respected. I can’t imagine dad living anywhere else!!

I have both parents at Harmony Point and I have appreciated the attention and care my folks have been given. They have been there over two years now.The staff has such a personal touch with myfolks and I am kept informed of anychanges or needs. My folks experienced the winter freeze while there and Priscilla and Staff stayed constantly on campus for days to be sure they wereWarm and fed fighting all obstacles they encountered.Harmony also has gone through the pandemic with sacrifices from many of the staff and helped my folks and me keep communications going during the lockdown the best they were allowed.I have so much gratitude to the past and present staff members of Harmony for the love and care my folks have gotten.Cindy

My father currently resides at Harmony Point MC. The facility is on the small size, which enables the director, office staff and care-givers the opportunity to get to know each of the residents and their families quite well. Questions and concerns I have regarding my fathers declining memory and physical challenges are promptly addressed. The staff are kind, patient and attentive. Socially, physically and intellectually stimulating activites are provided numerous times per day. My father has developed a number of close friendships with staff and other residents and seems to be very happy in the care of Harmony Point MC. It is like he is being cared for by family.

My mother in law has lived at Harmony Point for the last year, and has done very well. She remembers the names of the caregivers, and sometimes remembers them as loved ones from her past. She has memory issues, and sometimes believes the other residents are people she has known for years. We think this gives her some comfort in her life at this time. She often mentions the executive chef at Harmony Point, particularly since they made her a ribeye steak for her birthday and because she enjoys the food.Frequently we will get calls from members of the staff, Xavier, Allison or Nate, reminding us that we need to pick up medications or other items that she needs. Sometimes the attendants will give us a call, just because my mother in law just needs to hear from us. Unfortunately, she is not a good candidate to keep her own personal cell phone. The caregivers and administration all know my husband, who stops by 3 to 4 times a week to visit his mom. Sometimes we have to wait a moment to get into the locked wing, however, we acknowledge that some of the residents could easily wander off, and we appreciate our loved one kept safe. We have been included in games by either Becky or Brandon, who coordinate activities for the residents. They frequently are playing bingo or noodle ball. Weekly they have a musical guest, and the residents often join in singing. My husband and I feel very lucky to have found a caring and active home for his mother. As with any resident, life is not always perfect, which is why I did not give 5 stars. I will say, that every time my husband has had a concern, Nate, the executive director has taken time to make sure the issue is addressed and fixed.

I moved my Mom to Harmony Point last August, and the moment she walked in, she loved it. She had lived with my husband and me for over a decade, and with her Alzheimers progressing, it was time to make a decision. We had looked at dozens of places for my parents over the years and I knew instantly that Harmony Point was the right choice. Everyone there is kind, helpful, accommodating, and has given us true peace of mind. My mom is happy, engaged in activities, and thriving there and for that I am forever thankful.

My Step fathers mother was a new tenant at Harmony Point just a month ago. Sadly she passed very suddenly. I want to thank all of the wonderful staff there from Nathan to Hanna to Becky and all the caring staff that made her final days the best they could have been. They have bent over backwards to help my family with anything they could do to make this as easy on our family as possible. I cant thank them enough for all they have done. God Bless Harmony Point for all their kindness and love.

I wanted to provide an update to my review. My mother continues to reside at Harmony Point. The staff continues to show care and concern for all residents. The consistency of care and routine has led to my mother being content and even professes happiness. Just yesterday when I asked her, she said everyone here is so nice to me. In the midst of a tough situation, this honest answer gave me joy as even with having dementia, people know if they are not being treated well or are not happy. While all of the staff deserve my thanks, I want to personally thank two employees for consistently exhibiting a true caring for my mother every time I see them: Becky and Alan - THANK YOU!Original post: My mother suffered a traumatic brain injury when she fell in February. This injury increased the negative effects of her memory issues. I investigated 8 long term care memory facilities and visited six before my father and I selected Harmony Point. From the very first visit, the employees positive and caring attitudes stood out from the rest. Every time I visited, before and after my mother moved in, the facility always was kept clean and passed the smell test. If youve been in rehab and care facility locations a lot, you will know what I mean by this. I could not be happier about choosing Harmony Point for my mothers care.

The building itself is kept very clean and is overall very nice. The people are very welcoming and kind. I would highly recommend this memory care facility to anyone looking for quality care. Reading the previous reviews I am not sure what they are referring to, but I am very pleased with Harmony Point and their management. The people care and the residents seem to really love it!

My brother and I looked around at different facilities for my mother who needed memory care. We chose Harmony Point, which, at the time, was called Aria Memory Care. We were impressed by the cleanliness, staff, food, and the activities they provided for the residents. The current staff and management is even better; they adjust to the specific needs of the residents. As my moms dementia worsened, the facility staff and I had good two-way communication on stepping up her care level. I visited my mom three to four times a week at different times of the day, and the staff were always providing compassionate and excellent care to my mom. Many of the staff got into this field after going through a similar experience with a relative. I got to know many of the staff and they are like family.

I took care of my 87 year mother, who has been diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinsons, until I couldnt take care of her anymore. Harmony Point Memory Care has been a godsend and has made a difference in my mothers life, and in mine, as well. My mother just celebrated being here a year, last week. She is night and day so much better, comfortable, and happier from last year to now. They take care of my mom 100 times better at Harmony Point Memory Care than the lack of care I witnessed her not getting at regular skilled nursing facilities, for which she was in a year prior, and, at the time before she transferred over to here. At Harmony Point Memory Care, the staff and caregivers give my mother such loving and skilled round the clock care. The environment is very clean. The layout feels like you are in a house. They all just love my mom, and they all love me. It feels like a home and family here. It is the first place I have ever felt totally comfortable with my mom being in someone elses care. I dont have to worry at all. That says a lot.Thank you, Harmony Point Memory Care, for taking the load off of me and giving my mom such wonderful loving care each and every day and night, and, for the love and care you give me as her family member, as well. You guys are the best, and I love you all! I highly recommend you to others in need of top notch care.

This facility went through a name and management change in the last year and has been on a downhill trajectory ever since. Management is unresponsive to concerns, has TERRIBLE communication, doesnt keep accurate information, makes excuses and doesnt follow through. The floor staff is a mixed bag. Some really good people mixed in with some who dont seem to care.Bottom line is that for the money (average about $60,000 a year), you can do better and they should do better.

The executive director has no follow through. He presents with a militant demeanor and has reportedly served in the military. While I appreciate his service to our country he has forgotten how to speak with civilians. I overheard him speaking poorly about another memory care facility which is unprofessional. His unprofessionalism offers a training opportunity. Hopefully, the owners will provide more training for their staff.

Cant say enough about this place! We love Harmony Point Memory Care. Our mother was there for 3 weeks, and we truly believe that our mother was happier than she ever had been in years. She played bingo with Becky the activity director who also does everyones nails, and painted with the all the residents. she did daily activities with our mom.Mom went to church, which mom loved. From the moment we walked in to meeting Hanna, Nathan, Tyra, Lari, Alan and the nurses on call Xavier, Joshua and Shelby we knew that this was the place for our mother. She felt at home here nand they were getting our mom out of bed and doing fun activities. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a caring loving home for their loved ones. We checked out 4 places and God brought us to this one and we couldnt be happier. They treated my sweet mother with the dignity she deserved.

This used to be a locally owned First Class Facility for loved ones with Alzheimers. Staff was caring, professional and compassionate. Now it is owned/managed by a corporate entity called Civitas whos main concern is profit. In the three years my mother was there they missed giving her medications (and lied about it), failed to produce documentation of same, had staff members who complained about her incontinence, had carpet stained with feces, lost a brace Rx for fractured wrist, sent her to the wrong hospital, etc. They cheap out on EVERYTHING. Look up when you are in the Commons/Dining area and see that paint is on the smoke alarms, light fixtures, wood trim and just about everywhere else.I realize this type of business has turnover, but theirs doesnt just change - it goes downhill with each new hire. The Executive Director, in the rare times he is present, has the bedside manner of Nurse Ratched. He is arrogant, officious and condescending. And it seems they have no longer have a maintenance person. When we brought our mother here, the first thing we did was the smell test. A+. Now every time we are there, her room reeks of urine and feces.Didnt get the care my mother deserved, especially considering the cost.On 4/1 was promptly contacted by Civitas. Shared my concerns about the care of the residents and management of Harmony Point and was told I would receive a reply. For obvious reasons, my review went up after making other arrangements for my mother. Since we are no longer financially connected, Civitas must believe their need to reply is unnecessary.

My great grandmother recently moved out because of poor care. If I was able to give this memory care zero stars I would. Let me start off by saying this; the recent management change has been a disaster, just trashy people who tend to neglect their residents. Being a family member, that sat and fed my grandmother, I saw, and heard more than you think. Leaving people in their rooms while having severe episodes is just completely unacceptable, but not in their eyes. The LVN they have in that building is so far behind in education in wellness it is a joke. It is unfortunate, very unfortunate that these residents and family members who are there currently as of now have to go through all of this. The Executive Director in that building has fallen short of what it takes to care for senior citizens. Hopefully soon whom ever oversees this community will realize they made several terrible choices.
