Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be one of your students this semester. While shadowing over a 100 patients, you took the time to listen, build a relationship upon trust and used a non judgmental approach. Also, I appreciate that you did research in your spare time to educate the students and patients on different medications. Magdalene, you are a excellent provider and your patients are lucky to have you!

I have had the wonderful opportunity to do clinical hours in my Psychiatric NP program with Magdalene Osunde. She has been a thoughtful teacher of her students and an amazing provider for her patients. The world of mental health is difficult to manage, and she has a grace and compassion for her patients that is rare indeed. I have seen so many patients come to her on many medications and still in utter distress. She has an amazing ability to relate to them quickly and consistently advocates for their best care, many times decreasing the number of medications they need. I have seen hundreds of satisfied clients in her practice. In addition to this she always is very giving with her time to educate her students in order to make them better providers in the future. I cannot recommend her highly enough for both patients and students.

I would like to share the wonderful experience I had with Magdalene as a student nurse practitioner, she is absolutely amazing! She loves teaching, is very knowledgeable, and informative to her students. This has been the best semester for me and I loved my experience. Something I witnessed while being with her this semester is her love and care for her clients. She connects with each client and appreciates their situation, circumstances and uniqueness. She’s appreciative of their time and effort to achieve mental wellness and goes above and beyond to help each client be successful in their goal for improving mental health.

Magdalene Osunde is an angel in human form!!! I’m so serious when I say this, Ive never in my entire battle with mental health had someone so dedicated, trustworthy, compassionate and intelligent. Who understands what people are going through. Mental health needs to be more transparent among society, understand that honesty and a good heart goes a long way in living a truly wonderful life. No more being scared. She walked me through everything! Even recommending healthier diet & activities while I was starting a new medication. If it had not been for her knowledge and compassion, I would have been in an endless rut of doctor after doctor. She makes sure you get your medication on time and you can expect an immediate call back if she were busy. She is so accommodating!! I wish nothing but the best for her and what she is doing!! I have a lot of trust issues and its very hard for me to talk to people about my mental illness, however Magdalene put me at ease immediately and I felt very comfortable speaking with her. As a APRN student it has been an honor to shadow Magdaline, PMHNP. Not only is she caring towards her clients, she is caring with her students and treats all with dignity and respect. Though the journey with a mental illness can be overwhelming and sometimes scary, Ive witnessed Magdaline bring comfort to her clients by letting them know they are not alone. I am writing this comment as an appreciation for my preceptor Magdalene Osunde. I have one of the best clinical experiences for my first practicum course. I have learned from her plenty of things that I would apply in my future practice. I have found Magdalene as passionate and knowledgeable about different aspects of psychiatric disorders along with their right psychopharmacology treatments. What impressed me most was also the fact that she does not hesitate to provide free services without charge for clients who could not afford them. She treats clients equally and without discrimination. As a nurse practitioner, she also advocates strongly for her clients. During my stay with her as my preceptor, I had seen over 100 clients, and at the end of each contact session, she would ask them whether they are satisfied or not, and I have never seen a single client who went home dissatisfied. Besides her extensive knowledge and experience of psychiatric disorders and medications, another factor that led the clients to go home satisfied, in my view is, because of her empathy, smile, and kindness to help clients as much as she could. I strongly recommend PMHNP students who want to do their clinical to visit Outpatient psychiatry and contact Magdalene Osunde.

I had her see my daughter, because my house was full of medications that were being prescribed for my baby that she never took because some made her feeling like a zombie with her symptoms still there. I was so impressed because she was very thorough and was not just about giving her medications which her previous psychiatrist was doing. I remember her telling me this with her beautiful accent we are going to add therapy because medications sometimes may not be the fix well anyway she have slowly reduced my baby from 5 different medications to 2 with therapy. My daughter is feeling good, less anxious, less depressed and actually is doing so many things she did not have interest in doing for years. I text her whenever we have questions and she responds.Magdalene is amazing.

Dr. Osunde always provides a detailed explanation for all of her recommendations. She flawlessly navigates between being the consummate professional and a totally relatable person. She has been transparent with me regarding my care and what I should expect. Dr Osunde also displays a high level of ethics and integrity in how she treats me as her patient and handling whatever I may need. While the circumstances that brought me to Dr. Osunde may not be the best, the care that I’m receiving from her is without question the best I’ve ever received and it feels as if it’s tailored specifically for me. So I scheduled an appt with this person at 3pm. They called me at 2:40pm, as I was wrapping up work. Then they never called me back at my scheduled time and when I emailed them to tell them I was confused why I didnt get my appt as it was scheduled, they canceled the entire thing. Smh. Its clear that this person is not genuine and patients are just money to her. What a waste of time.
