Never again!!!! I will never trust camp wagalot my dog ever again!!!! I had to go out of town for thanksgiving, and I come back to pick her up for this establishment and she has a large cut on her tail. But you can clearly tell they slammed her tail in a door and then the fun part it got infected and her tail had to be amputated!!!!I LOVE HOW THIS PLACE IS CALLED CAMP WAGALOT!!!! BECAUSE MY DOG DID NOT COME OUT WAGGING!!

I left my two dogs here, one is a lab/ pit/Shepard mix and the other is a Chihuahua mix for almost a week. They came back safe and returned to their normal selves after a couple of days (theyre not used to getting left behind). They bathed and clipped their nails, for an extra $25-$27 each which was nice. My bigger dogs paw was a little red around the edges so that was concerning (I think they smoothed her paws out a little too much), but she didnt lick it so I dont think it was anything to worry about.

I always call the day before and they are usually able to groom my dogs the next day. The dogs always look good when they are done. I feel like they take care of the dogs, like letting them out to potty and whatnot, and I dont think every groomer does that. My dogs are always excited to go inside so that makes me think they take good care of them.

Our family took a trip to San Antonio and couldnt take our family dog. Shes a pitbull and everyone always think negative about them. Someone suggested that we try Camp Wagalot. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They welcomed her with open arms. No problems with taking her in for a few days. I think we found a permanent doggie sitter for Bailey. I really do recommend them to anybody.

My Mini Schnauzers and I have been grooming and boarding customers for several years. Others must feel the same, as I am encountering more often that Saturday appointments must be booked 2 weeks or more out rather than the familiar one week. Logistics prevent me from appointments during the week, unless I take time off from work. All the gals at Wagalot are courteous, caring, and attentive. I have no real complaints, but, only because I am so picky, admit that I often get my little guys home and find a need to even up eyebrows or beards because one side is longer than the other -- but, I do that after almost every hair cut I get too (I said picky, remember?). A suggestion I might toss out is to offer a multiple-dog discount -- even a little one maybe?

We left Ruby in the hands of Camp Wag a Lot when we went to Europe for two weeks. We had boarded her there before, but I had never been apart from her any longer than a 4 -day weekend prior to this trip.My anxiety grew worse the longer we were out of the country ;by the time we flew home, I was beside myself .Our plane got in at 3 pm and we had to go through customs, so I was worried about getting her picked up by by 6 pm.When we finally got to there to pick her up around 4:30, I was just elated !! She looked so good!!! She had a wonderful time while we were gone, and they took pictures of her, which I will try to get them to text to me.I was beyond happy with her care giver and all of the staff and facilities.I could not have asked for a better experience for Ruby. They have such love for Ruby, and they are very dependable.I love Camp Wag A Lot and all of its workers.God Bless you all! Our dog was attacked while staying in the kennel. He sat in the kennel for two days with his puncture wounds festering and oozing. They told us about the incident AFTER we paid for boarding, as they were bringing our dog out to us. Then it was a HUGE struggle trying to get the owner to pay for the (discounted) vet bill just to get the infection under control. We had to wait at the vets office the entire day waiting for the owner to pay only to find out that she never intended to. She apparently spent the whole day trying to get payment out of the other dog owner instead of accepting responsibility for accidents that happen in her facility. She yelled at me over the phone but eventually paid so we could leave and take our injured dog home. When you trust your animal to a boarder you assume that you will be notified in the event of an accident. You assume that your pet will be taken care of in the event of an accident. And at the very least, you assume they will take responsibility and make things (as close as possible to) right if there is accident and they have missed gaping and festering puncture wounds...

Wag A Lot is very good. We have two big high-energy dogs, a Doberman and a Lab-Mix that likes to jump. Melissa and her folks handle these rowdy dogs with the same care they use on the small cuddly creatures that smell nice and cant hurt anything - even though our two beasts probably ought to be tased some times! No place is 100% all the time. I have read some of these reviews that dont match up with our experience. They could have happened I suppose but weve been boarding our dogs there for nearly 15 years (were on the second set now) and trust them to do a good job. Ill bet you can too :-)

My baby has been going to get groomed her for 2 yrs I choose this place because they were the only ones who didnt cage dry, today when I dropped my baby off I was asked to sign a form and the form said since my baby was 7 he was a senior and pretty much they werent responsible for anything that happens including death. I signed the paper work and left my baby there, but only to go back in a few hrs to get him because I didnt feel comfortable signing that paper. The lady told me that is just procedure and one lady said that since they saw on the new that dogs are considered seniors when turn 7 thats when they started it.

HORRIBLE PLACE … My daughter did not read the reviews before boarding her beloved pet at this facility. Based on her experience with their grooming she thought this was a great place to leave her dog for seven days. I came back early from our trip and was not aware you could not pick up your pet on Sunday, So, I went on Sunday to pick him up. I happen to see an employee in the yard so I asked if I could see my dog. She was reluctant about letting me see him so I panicked and demanded she let me see him. She brought him out to the fence and I almost fainted. He was covered in feces and as he was running out feces was coming out of his rear end, his face was matted with what she said was tears, his eyes were half open like he was exhausted and he seemed disoriented. This was like coming to pick up a child from a daycare provider unannounced and finding out how they really treat your child. The next day I talked to the owner and she was furious. Her exact words were “the fool who let you see your dog was stupid.” I was floored by her comment. I advised her that I had not told my daughter about the condition of her dog because she was still out of town and I did not want to cause her anxiety about a situation she could do nothing about. The owner chose to call my daughter and attack her also. We requested a bath before picking up our dog. When we picked him up he still smelled like feces. Remember we loved their grooming. But however we have never brought him in covered in feces. If I had not witnessed his condition the day before I would have had no idea why he smelled so bad. We cannot take back the abuse apparently our pet went through for seven days but we can try to prevent other people from the guilt and heartache that comes with a poor decision. HORRIBLE PLACE.

Found this place on google and was thrilled to try it for our weekend family trip so I called on Wednesday May 2 @ 12:04pm and spoke to a young lady. I arranged to bring our dog, Lucky, in on Friday May 4 and drop him off before closing which was at 6p. The young lady I spoke to took my address, phone number, name & breed of dog (pit bull) & age during our call. I felt great about having found a new place that would care for my pet nearby! So Friday comes & I spend all day getting everything ready form the car (brakes/oil chg) to our home (cleaning everything) to packing my 4 childrens’ overnight bags & then finally my own. I continued my usual Friday ritual & retrieved the kids from school at 4 then my husband arrived home & we tied up the remaining loose ends & headed out at 5:30p. We arrived at Camp Wagalot at 5:55p & took Lucky inside. We were greeted by a guy that gave us a leash to bring him inside & then he took Lucky to the back. When he came back to the desk to check us in he asked who is this? We replied “Lucky” and he looked into the computer & found our reservation. We thought that we would pay & be on our way but instead we were told that since we did not have the dog’s shot records that they could not take him. I then informed him that we were not told over the phone when making the initial appt that this paperwork was needed. He insisted that it was nexessary for their safety & our pet’s since he was an “aggressive breed”. We were so disheartened by the dissmissive approach considering it was their employee’s fault that this occurred. We then left and returned home only to not be able to find a person to come by & feed our dog in our absence and we didn’t feel comfortable leaving him alone in our backyard since he’s primarily an inside dog and the nighttime weather gets cold. So thanks to Camp Wagalot we had to cancel our family trip. We will never even TRY use their faculty again because they are clearly not the type of caring & compassion driven facility that’s I’d trust looking after my pet anyhow.

Up until today Ive been very pleased with the service. Today however I took in my 14yr old dog for a very overdue nail trim. This dog has been on immunosuppressants and on/off chemo drugs for an autoimmune condition for the last 2yrs and is under the care of the very qualified vets at the Centers for Veterinary Specialty Care in Lewisville. As a side effect of his age and the drugs he has been dealing with some severe ear infections which are also under treatment. Today the owner decided to question his ears loudly, in front of everyone in the building. Fair enough. I explained he is under vet care and she kept pushing. As an owner of a dog on very limited time, I found this insensitive, rude and after breaking down crying in the store because I just love getting yelled at for physical reminders that my dog has health issues, she still did not apologize. I will NEVER return to this facility again. The staff has been great, but the owner made an already difficult time much worse than it needed to be.

I was disappointed after leaving my dog for a couple of days. I paid extra money to have him played with for 15 min a day. i sent enough food for exactly 4 days along with 2 bones each day. Food container came back 2/3 still full of food, which i measured the food with his food dish to make sure he had enough to eat and not one bone was given to him and now i doubt he was even played with. i will not leave my animal at this facility again. i hate the fact that my dog was neglected, not fed or played with for 4 days.
