I call the shelter and every time I do they say call back tomorrow like that is an option at the moment. In general I think it is not cool because there are going to be too many mental unstable people sleeping outside.

My 3yr old son was a punching bag the Lil time (7 days) we were there. Little kids throwing up gang signs. I was lied on and said I threatened a lady there when I wouldnt jeopardize where my kids lay there heads at night. When I finally spoke up, I was exited. My abuser is still out there and Im very disappointed that they (Rubys place coordinator) already had made up their minds to exit myself and my kids and did not hear my side of what happened. The lady that accused me of threatening her didnt speak nor understand NO ENGLISH so lets say for instance, if I did threaten her how would she have had understood me????? anyways my lawyers will be contacting you shortly. Not only did Rubys Place put myself and my kids in danger they are also racist and only help their Spanish people. I wish I could give Rubys Place 0 ⭐ but Google wont let me. Me and kids are sleeping in the park and we apologize that we are not Spanish. Might I add that this place treats you as if youre a prisoner of the state. They check to make sure youre in bed at night flashing their flashlights in the middle of the night, and it triggers your mind as to if youre still in a abusive relationship. They keep you locked in the premises and u have to say gate so they could open the gate before you leave, and their excuse is its for your safety yeah right, they get payed for us victims to be there and they take control of your life. SHAME on THEM!!!!!!

Amazing place that offers such needed support in a time of crisis for many women and children. Wonderful staff, advocates, therapists, etc. So grateful for places like this!

I really believe they are racists. Ms Cynthia will hang up if your black they ask of race and she is a problem starter. The fact that half of staff doesnt have children how can they every relate or walk a mile in any of our shoes. They are taken more money then they are giving. They will let white ppl and Hispanic get away with murder smoking pipe and etc but will be quick to kick out a black lady with a newborn if need bee black ppl stay away from this place we aint nothing but checks and reburtments to theyre own to gain. Dont trust no Case woker i repeat stay mute they are not there to help they are to decide who they want to put out after they got money for the beds filled

So some avocates are okay but i truly belive staff has issue with comprehending what the definition of an argument is they kicked me and my one yr old baby out in the cold beacuse they felt me speaking my mind was too much to deal with they let people on drugs run the place and basically treat us like slaves you have to clean up daily after other people and you get wrote up for it i mean they have a bathroom that has been broken for 9months damn near and keep taking money from the system i dont know where the check went they got for me and my child but it didnt go on us...

Stay away from this place!!!!!!! Its a womans jail and the staff ohh the staff I truly dont know how they can sleep at night! staff is way ghetto they truly treat people with no respect, they will put you out cold on the street without even thinking about it , I was being harassed and was about to get punched by a huge 300 pound gorilla and staff did nothing!! all the donations were taken by the staff workers, they know you are in a vounrable place and they take advantage of it truly sad.@caroline Sturtuvant I am sorry I think you are not familiar with Rubys Jail hole or you possibly are confusing another shelter that has all the services your talking about because I never got all of that nice help, lets speak the truth people lets make a change were in America these places should not exist in all honesty I feel this place is a scam for the CEO and board members to get a nice pay check , cashing in DV shelter ahhh nooooo I dont think so not close ,because if they truly cared the thing that go on in this place should not be happening!! truly sick to my stomach!!!
