Quick in and out. The gentleman behind the counter was welcoming. Phlebotist was quick and efficient. She drew blood and spared me the details. I dislike this and she accommodated. She explained everything. Good job. Way more efficient than labcorp. Those clowns leave the office early and make you make an appt.

This place is always understaffed...unbelievable since they are next to a hospital and medical community. Then they spend so much time explaining ing why they are behind they get further behind.

Sign stated wait; n hallway for either appointment or walkin waiting for over 30 min , associates walking in and out for breaks no one acknowledged that I was there. I finally walked in and the receptionist wasnt aware I was even there. Great job Quest. The phlebotomist that drew my labs was great no pain that was really the only thing that was wonderful about this experience.

I took my 5 year old son to get blood taken today- I was pretty nervous because he had gotten his blood taken somewhere else a few years ago and we had a very bad experience. Usually Saturdays for Quest Diagnoatic locations are busy, but there were only a handful of people. What I REALLY like about this place is that they let you wait inside the waiting room. Because of covid, when I previously went to the Quest at Southland mall in Hayward, they keep their door locked and you have to wait in a long line outside which is ridiculous. When my son and I arrived here at the Castro Valley Quest, I realized I left the doctors form at home. They were very understanding and my husband was able to drop it off for us. We had to wait an extra 5 min since we had to wait for my husband to drop off the form which was totally no big deal. They had trouble finding my sons veins but they were extremely patient and kind and three phlebotomists worked together to find a vein. They were all so good with my son and I really appreciated that. Thank you, Quest Diagnostics Castro Valley!

I had a drug test to do so I can start a new job. I had my almost 5 month old son with me. Signed in to get seen, waited for an hr for them to tell me I cant take my son in with me. It would have been nice to have asked if it was just me and my son when I had first walked in. Workers at the dest saw me walk it alone with my son. Thanks for wasting my time. Also, they close at 3pm! Id give it a no star if it was available.

Not possible to talk to them on phone. Have been trying to call them for more than an hour. Same message being repeated and then I get transferred to some automated system. No way to talk to a person and ask a question. I was trying to setup screening for employees but now I am done with this company. Have to look for other options

Ive been going to Quest Diagnostics for over 10 years for blood work but this was the first time using this location and it was the worst. Before I even sat down in the chair the phlebotomist had my account on the screen and told me that it was overdue and that I owed over $200. She asked me how I wanted to pay. I was very surprised at this since my most recent blood work was just done about a month ago. She showed me the screen and it showed a $90 balance that was due just 5 days ago and then the remainder was changes for the blood work that she was about to perform. So the priority was not drawing blood from my arm but drawing cash from my pocket. When I told he that I would just pay online like I have been doing for years, she entered in the onscreen menu that patient refuses to pay or something like that. This seemed like a very rude and unprofessional way to treat patients. I tried to call Quest at several phone numbers to discuss what happened, but there is no way to reach any kind of Customer Service rep. If you try to call the local lab you get stuck in a phone try with no option to talk to a live person. Do not use this location. However, if this is a new way that Quest is doing business, consider using a lab with a more professional attitude.

Awful experience. Had normal weekly draw at Sutter lab which I informed tech. Tech mumbling and fumbling. Stuck me twice. Did not mind 2 sticks but first stick wasnt taking and he kept going deeper and deeper. So much so, arm still throbbing from 8 a.m. draw, and now 2pm. Will never return there and will inform doctor of such an unpleasant experience. Thank you.

Set an appointment to have a TB test performed via their automated system, which gave me no ability to discuss anything with anyone. I needed this test in order to complete work in a facility that was a plane flight away just 4 days afterward. I waited for my appointment time then went to the facility. When I got there the attendant asked for a doctors order. I dont have health insurance and planned to pay out-of-pocket. I told him I didnt have a doctors order and just needed a simple TB test. His response was sorry, gotta have a doctors order. This totally jeopardized my upcoming job. Not cool.

My OB doctor ordered the 1 hour glucose tolerance test for me. When I went to Lab, the MA gave me the 100g Glucose drink and draw my blood in 1 hour. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I know that I used have to 50g Glucose drink for this test. When I asked the MA the size and amount of drink is different from what I had. He answered me this is the size. I told my OB and she replied me that that is incorrect amount for 1 hour test. End up my result is invalid and I have to repeat the test again. I have to take time off from work again to repeat the test again. I am going to have blood work done there again. The advice for all pregnant women, please be careful what the MA does for the Glucose Test.

After 1 hour wait, 3 staff could not even keep up with appointments! Appts were 25 minutes behind and there were still 12 ppl ahead of me! I was faint and dizzy from fasting on a light dinner the previous night, 17 hours earlier. I left.
