I cant give enough stars to this practice!Dr. Sugiyama and team far exceeded my expectations.I had some trouble with a tooth (like 5 months of trouble) that another dentist was trying to figure out but they werent really listening to me or hearing what I was saying about the pain. I was on a course of treatment that would have added to the problem and extended my pain if I didnt find Dr. Sugiyama.I got a referral to Dr. Sugiyama from a friend and his team saw me immediately due to the pain I was having. Dr. Sugiyama took the time to listen to me and finally figured out what was going on. Not only that, he personally called a specialist to get me in ASAP for a root canal. If I would not have called Cedar Mountain, I would still be having pain and the issue wouldnt be fixed.I appreciate the focus that he and his team had while getting me to a point of no pain. I am thrilled to have found a local dentist with the amount of expertise and kindness that comes along with being a patient at Cedar Mountain Family.

Dr Sugiyama used Clear Correct braces to fix my very misaligned bite. I needed additional trays and adjustments because of the difficulty level posed by my natural teeth. The doctor and his staff have always been very helpful, friendly, and patient. They did not hesitate to help me with the additional adjustments and are always willing to go the extra mile to help me get to the result I want. The office atmosphere is always happy and professional with multiple individuals working in coordination to get their work done. They are the best dental team weve ever found.

I wanted to try a new dentist. My last one in Castle Rock did quality work but was not attentive enough to billing and ended up costing me $350 more than necessary for services. My friend recommended Cedar Mountain for their quality service and fair billing. I was very satisfied with the service I received. All team members were friendly and efficient. The dental hygienist who helped me was particularly informative and friendly. They were good at encouraging good dental care at home without sounding preachy or shaming.

I experienced a dental emergency on Friday , February 14th, at 3:45 pm. I quickly jumped online and saw that Cedar Mountain was open until 4:00 pm. They graciously agreed to see me on an emergency basis and took care of my dental need. If you are looking for a friendly, professional dental practice that puts patients needs first then I highly recommend Dr. Sugiyama and his team.

I have been coming here for about a year now, and LOVE IT! Had a bridge done right before Christmas, a filling, and even had my two front teeth bonded. The office was very open and light instead of dark hallways and closed rooms which is a nice change from most. Dr. Sugiyama also took the time to examine a separate issue that I brought up with him and explained the different options I had. We also had time to chat about family life and share some laughs which made the atmosphere feel that much more like home. Dr. David Sugiyama and Cedar Mountain Family Dentistry are 5 star rated and then some! My case was an extremely goofy and challenging one, but not for Dr. Sugiyama. I had a botched implant/crown combo that I have been trying to get corrected for over 7 years. He was able to get it figured out and customize a crown that fits and works perfectly. As a Chiropractor, Ive always felt a little conscious about smiling and talking to patients with a tooth missing, but that no longer is my case. Thanks Doc! He and his staff are punctual, professional and all smiles! :-) Highly recommend Dr. Sugiyama and his office!

As a first time patient I was happy with how quickly and seamlessly everything went. Went in with a chipped front tooth, left without being to tell it was ever chipped in the first place. If my Christmas list included two front teeth, this is where I would go. Everyone from check-in to check-out was professional and hospitable. I am very glad to have found a great dentist with a great supporting cast, and so close to home.

I can’t say enough good about my experience at Cedar Family Mountain Dentistry. The staff was friendly and cheerful, and the office sunny, bright and welcoming. I was impressed that there was absolutely no waiting – I was seen exactly at my appointed time. Dr. Sugiyama was first-rate! He took time to explain everything, he made sure I never experienced pain, and he did an exceptional job fixing my broken front tooth. His calm bedside manner and gentle touch put me completely at ease, and I was so relaxed, I think I even dozed off in the chair! I was impressed with Dr. Sugiyama’s knowledge and his willingness to work as long as was needed to do the job until it was perfect. (I even asked him if he was a perfectionist, as he worked and worked on my tooth until it looked better than it did before it was broken!) He also made sure it FELT right, too - that there were no rough spots that would be uncomfortable for my tongue that couldn’t resist touching it every few minutes. I have been to several different dentists in Castle Rock, and Dr. Sugiyama was by far the most skilled, most professional, and most concerned with making sure I was comfortable and 100% satisfied with the work done. I would HIGHLY recommend his practice!

Dr. Sugiyama is a knowledgeable and conscientious dentist who considers the needs and concerns of the patient. My husband and I have been very happy to continue seeing him after he assumed the practice from Dr. Cornish. While the office reflects state of the art technology and professionalism, the atmosphere is warm and friendly. In fact, we recently had our son go in for his first visit transitioning from our pediatric dentist in Denver. Overall, a great experience!

Dr. Sugiyama is very thorough and makes all members of my family feel at ease! We range in age from 2 years - 40 years, so he clearly knows how to handle a variety of ages. This means no need for a separate dentist for the kids and the parents! We also love his receptionist - she is ALWAYS smiling and a pleasure to see each time we visit. My previous dentist told me that I needed several hundred dollars worth of deep cleaning. I talked to Dr. Sugiyama for a second opinion and he informed me that most of what the other dentist wanted to do was optional and not necessarily more effective than traditional procedures. He asked me to come in, at no cost, to check if I actually needed the work done. When I went in, he said that he couldnt see anything wrong and said I didnt need the procedure. He saved me hundreds of dollars.Ive since started seeing Dr. Sugiyama and have always had a great experience and Ive never been pressured to get extra work done.

What a GREAT place! I have always dreaded going to the Dentist ( from bad childhood experiences) , and DR.Sugiyama was SO caring & gentle. I can honestly say I didnt feel a thing! This was the best dentist/ doctor appointment ever. As a 30 year old male, I do not often seek out a dentist, but this pain had to stop. Every staff member played a role, from the front desk lady staying on the phone for 30 minutes with kaiser to see what I would be responsible for, to the other dentist on duty (who did not work on me) who came in to talk sports because she heard I was from Boston. Dr. Sugiyama preformed my root canal himself, and from the moment he numbed me up I didnt feel a bit more pain. Ive since flown home and have gone about my daily routine no problem. I will consider Cedar Mountain Family Dentistry in the future, because they are far and away better than any dentist I could imagine finding where I live.

This was my first experience other than routine cleaning with Dr. Sugiyama. I have always been apprehensive with dentists-even when I had been Dr. Cornishs patient for many years. When Dr. Sugiyama stated that he would like to fill the cavity in one of my front teeth without any anesthetic I was REALLY apprehensive. Then when he did fill it with no anesthetic, and it WAS totally painless, he made me a continuing patient at Cedar Mountain for many coming years!

Yesterday I got my teeth whitened and love it! I had always heard from friends who had done it, that it makes the teeth sensitive and painful afterwards and so I was afraid to have it done. But I finally did it and I did not feel any discomfort at all through the entire procedure! It was easy and done in 45 mins! My teeth are now 4 shades lighter! And right now they have a special going on for half price of what it usually costs! Thanks Cedar Mountain!

Dr. Sugiyama was great. The CERAC crowning is a huge plus in that its all done in one day. The staff was especially helpful, friendly, and welcoming.

WHITENING: Soooo disappointing. 2 stars or less for this service.I had my teeth whitened about 3 weeks ago and I am actually really unhappy with the results... it honestly didnt whiten my teeth hardly at all. I knew it would be painful, but I hoped the pain would at least mean my teeth would be suuuper white! This is why I gave the 2 star rating. I think if I had just spent the $50 on Crest Whitestrips I would have gotten better results at home, and it would have been waaaay cheaper.OVERALL:If you are just looking for a new dentist in Castle Rock, this place is great. The dental hygienist/tech staff are soooo wonderful! I had the most knowledgeable, sweet, kind-hearted ladies clean my teeth and do the whitening. 5 stars for their amazing dental staff!

Im so excited about the product that Dr. Sugiyama recommended for my TMJ( Nextgeneration). I was in a car accident in June that resulted in continues pain. I tried pain medication but nothing works like Nextgen. I wear them all the time. Who would believe that these earpieces would make a HUGH difference. but they do. I noticed a difference within hours after using Nextgen for the first time. I would highly recommend Nextgen, Dr. Sugiyama and his staff. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I have had four visits with Cedar Mountain Family Dentistry and continue to be unimpressed each time I visit them. I selected them as my dentist based of their reviews, but their customer service does not match up. From my experience, Dr. Sugiyama is not professional and does not engage with his customers. If you have the option, I would take your business elsewhere.
