My experience at this Emergency Room was great. I went in with sharp chest pain. From check in I was seen quickly and received excellent care through the whole process. I saw 10 different staff and everyone was kind, respectful, courteous and made me feel I was being well taken care of. My symptoms were dealt with efficiently and I appreciate the time and care I was given.

WARNING!!!!! This Emergency Department is absolutely NOT EQUIPPED FOR SMALL CHILDREN!!!! And it doesnt seem like they even plan on being in the near future. Considering this is the ONLY HOSPITAL for the ENTIRE PINAL COUNTY (Like Five Cities or so), youd think that for the YEARS BANNER has resided here, it would be of concern for them that they dont employ enough nursing or staff in general, to accommodate Emergency situations for small children. But after years of not addressing the issue, I doubt they ever will. I say this to say, I have had one child pass away at this location, and another recently neglected by staff, as they were dealing with other sick people - (LITERAL WORDS FROM THE ER PROVIDERS MOUTH). Mind you, my son had a never before seizure, but I guess that wasnt their concern or he wasnt sick enough, for the provider at the time, to care. We waited for hours (5 and 1/2) for treatment and results. None of which came until I insisted on leaving and seeking treatment elsewhere. My sons lab results were shouted across the room for everyone to hear, by the provider on staff, which not only violated his rights as a patient, but also her job as a medical provider. Without going into all the details, just please beware, as I cannot stress enough - IF you have SMALL CHILDREN, and happen to have a legit Emergency, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE, unless its your LAST OPTION! Take the long drive elsewhere. Your children deserve so much more.

Terrible experience at Banner ER on labor day evening. Got to ER about 9:45 pm on September 6 (labor day) due to severe kidney stone pain (unknown at the time what the problem was). Only two other people sitting in the ER when I arrived. Check-in nurse was more interested in cleaning the desk, chair, herself and untangling cords then helping me with my issue. Once she was ready to help me (which took forever) I sat in the chair as I began to sweat and vomit while in extreme pain. Of course the registration process was more important than helping me as I repeatedly asked for help with my pain. Once in the actual ER room I was basically left there alone to suffer. I pressed the Nurse Button on the remote needing help but no one came. I could hear the doctor and ER staff (several) visiting and laughing just outside my room while I was ignored (apparently they have nothing to do). Finally when the nurse did come. I told him that I had pressed the nurse button a long time ago but had no response. His answer was: well, Im here now (this was about 3 am). I did eventually get a CAT or CT scan which revealed a 3 mm stone so at least I knew what the problem was. After about another hour the doctor came in and said to me: if youre here any longer, Ill have to start charging you rent. I didnt respond to that, other than my thought which was... **** You!. I was finally released with some meds about 6 am (daylight) and went home to sleep. The pain had subsided once I got home. Heres my take: if youre ever in the need for ER services in Casa Grande, try to seek it elsewhere (if you can) rather than use Banner ER... believe me, itll be a better choice.

This was the worst experience with my mom there. We never could get anyone on the phone for updates. The nurses would not answer the call bells for up to an hour. One nurse didn’t check on her for almost 6 hours. 3 of which she kept asking for pain meds. The charge nurse was somewhat rude about our complaints. I would stay away from here.

Upon approach the folks were very nice and told me directions, which I promptly got turned around. Thankfully someone who worked there assisted me with the correct path to where I needed to be.Upon my visit, I will say that the person I was visiting, stated that he pressed the nurses call button that morning, and it took one hour and twenty six minutes to check on him. He discussed his expectations with the staff upon their arrival. 1.5 hours is definitely unacceptable. Upon my visit, prior to my leaving, he hit the call button, and the nurse? was sitting outside his room on a chair, and asked what he wanted, after he stated a visit to the rest room and help into bed, he was told that will have to wait and have his vitals taken first, and that he should stay seated. He had only been given ice water in the four hours that I was present, or rather fresh ice for his water. While the nurse? took a phone call on her cell, I waited to ensure that everything would be taken care of.

So they VERY obviously dont treat pregnant women with any sense of urgency.

Ran me into things and then asked why inwas crying. Had a neck, back, knee injury and when they dug their knuckles in my back and I cried they told me to stop crying and the pain Ill go away when I stop crying. Never took me to a room until I was discharged. Very rude staff. Not caring. The car accident was way less traumatizing than the hospital visiting. Didnt give me any pain medication until 3 hours into being at the hospital in the waiting room. Took me from the waiting room to do CT scan and xray but left me in an empty cold hall for 10 minutes at first. For a car accident they didnt care nor prioritized I could have messed the hospital bill.

My son was admitted to Banner Hospital in February of 2021. He was born with Cerebral Palsy and is a quadraplegic who is 41 years older also non speaking. He cannot feed himself, bathroom himself, requires total care. He.is very intelligent and can read. He was admitted at 80 lbs and 4 days later was discharged at 62 lbs. When being admitted, I said I was staying with him to communicate with the drs/nurses and was told no I wasnt, I asked if they knew how to feed him, etc. I believe he wasnt fed and when I asked him he said no. He was given morphine without any consent. He was severely dehydrated when released. I was never given any instructions on care after release either. The Dr never called me until I threatened he best call. I tried to get his medical records from banner on what he was given to eat and was told they didnt keep them. I called to get a diagnosis and the nurse told me what it was and then immedy called me back laughing saying she gave me the wrong patients results. Please dont take your loved ones who cant communicate to this place. Worst hospital ever.

Horrible experience, avoid this place if you can. The ER staff at night was ok except for a Dr that was screaming to an elderly and injured patient because he didn’t want to stay, no compassion or empathy AT ALL. Everyone was able to hear this patient’s medical problems without his consent. Incredibly disrespectful. Once i was admitted the nurses were nice but the night shift was HORRIBLE, I literally watched them argue in front of me because my bed had to be moved to a different room, to the point that i helped one nurse move my bed with my iv, pregnant and covid+ while the other ones were chatting and laughing. If it wasn’t for a test that was suspiciously delayed i would have left the hospital within 24 hours but they said they had no idea why it was taking so long, probably because they wanted me to to have a big hospital bill. All they care about here is how much money they can make with you, not the quality of attention you get. Thats how you feel as a patient. When the shift changed again it was even worse, they wouldn’t even bring water anymore.I also forgot to mention that the lady at the er that took my blood pressure and other things kept taking her mask off while being in a small room with me during a pandemic, she kept eating and talking to me without her mask on like nothing. So unprofessional.

We dont know what to tell you sir. Our staff wouldnt do that. Well someone did and nobody seems to care enough to look into it. They tried blaming the emt staff that brought her in. Limp into the emergency and even before asking what I need Im politely asked to wear a mask.I respond with equal politeness that I am medically unable to wear one. Im shocked when the receptionist informs me masks are required for service?!? I ask about ADA laws and how I will be accommodated. No answer. However 10sec after I make a chair 2 two hospital security show up in full battlerattle(armored vest, taser, spray cannister, firearm) and belligerently tell me to put a mask on or get out. Inform them of my same limitations, plus inform them of the federal law that states may not have face covered or obscured while carrying a firearm. This was of course amended in roughly may 2020 with the exception of a pandemic Instead of treating exchange as courteous information exchange the security supervisor who would only identify himself as Bill you dont need my last name decided instead that massive escalation was required. That was his decision based of these actions: 1.initial contact both himself and his lackey laughed at my disability, called me deluded.1.a took several threatening steps forward when I would disagree but finally backed off.2. Bill you dont need my last name came back before I was even checked in to inform me that once I was checked in I was to wait outside. Because Im disabled and unable to wear a mask.3. Another nurse choose to kindly take me upstairs4. Security officers, impossible to distinguish with masks. Cycled through room 6-9 times in first 15 min. Possibly there routes however choice comments dropped would indicate otherwise. As would the cessation of the frequency of the patrols5. Bill you dont need my last name brought a medical supervisor who kindly gave me banners: visitor &companion experience. Which has masks listed under ppe. I informed medical supervisor of my disability. She wished me a speedy recovery and went about her day.Bill, you need re-training. If I was your supervisor you would be immediately terminated after initial sustained and continued harassment of a patient. Many levels of training and jobs need to be addressed as several times hippa Ada and just plain courtesy were violated. Instead of using alleged pandemic as an excuse to conduct yourself however you want. Should at least follow laws if you cant be courteous.Banner: you have my info, your contacting me would go a long way in demonstrating a desire to improve.

I was a patient in the emergency room around a month or two ago. This is late but I put a complaint on their website but was never reached out to. I was completely ignored. This one nurse came in and seemed super annoyed to serve me or answer my question. I had a panic attack and felt like I was dying (even though I wasn’t but it was a very horrible time) i asked if I would be waking up the next day and she said “I don’t know, can’t promise that” and my blood pressure (I’m pretty sure) skyrocketed. Lady, if you can’t work professionally or you have a “I have bigger fish to fry” attitude, maybe the medical field isn’t your field. And I had dropped my empty urinal at one point, and kept calling for assistance because I had to urinate really bad, this one man barged in from the other room and said in a very aggressive annoyed voice “Can you hang on?! My hands are tied.” And just left. The male doctor I had was very kind and patient with me. The female nurse was extremely rude.

I am 12 weeks pregnant and went to this hospital with cramping and bleeding which is obviously a huge concern as it is a threat of miscarrying. I arrived at approximately 2:30 pm and wasn’t seen until almost 7 o’clock, which was devastating as I continued to bleed out. The intake staff was unorganized and sent several people to be seen who arrived hours after I did. There was even a young lady who was experiencing the same symptoms as I, however she had only been waiting 30 minutes before she was seen. This absolutely infuriated me, no sense of urgency to something that could have resulted in tragedy due to my hours of sitting and waiting. Once I finally got upstairs, the doctor was absolutely phenomenal. He was quick, knowledgeable and apologized that I had been waiting so long. The nurses who assisted him were kind and did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable. Turns out everything is fine and my baby is okay. I really appreciated how efficient the staff upstairs were and how fast they gave me a response in such a scary moment. The downstairs intake staff could learn a thing or two from them. I more than likely would not choose this hospital again for any pregnancy concerns and I do not recommend this place to anyone needing immediate service.

I went to the ER here yesterday and honestly have never been treated better by any other hospital!I live in Mesa, AZ and would honestly drive to Casa Grande to have the care I received here yesterday. All of the staff was happy, friendly, professional and kind! Great experience for having to be in the hospital on my vacation!

A. Its 9 minutes away.B. I have many disabilities and have to go about once a month.C. They know my history.D. They know me.E. The nurses listen to me.F. All ER waiting times vary greatly. They have shortened theirs by starting IVs, drawing blood, sending you for X-rays, treating symptoms, etc. You skip steps you dont need. Its like a walk in doctors office, ER and trauma center all in one. But remember. Worst always goes first and pain is low on that list. At ALL hospitals.

Went in with stroke symptoms and was put in the waiting room because they didn’t have a clean room. They said we had to wait for house cleaning to clean the room before they could evaluate a patient with stroke like symptoms!!! When we asked how much longer it would be before we would see a doctor the nurse rudely told us “Don’t get an attitude with me, I don’t even know you”. Unbelievable! Immediately left and went to Dignity Health where they know what to do and started a “stroke protocol “ upon entering the emergency department. You would think that Banner Casa Grande would look into implementing this, after all it’s a standard of practice that has been around for awhile.

Absolutely the worst hospital I have ever come to. They should spend the money on properly staffing with competent people. I have been here for over 5 hrs. with no end in sight. Worst bedside manners I have ever come across. Horrible! Next time I will just go to Phoenix and hope for better.

Went to the Emergency room 8 weeks pregnant. I was cramping and light bleeding. ER staff didnt seem to take me seriously for several hours I sat in the waiting room. When they finally got to me was when I had a miscarriage and hemorrhaged on the floor. The Dr was kind and so were the nurses but maybe if they had helped me when I needed it I wouldnt have lost my baby

My husband has had nothing but excellent care. Everyone from housekeeping to the doctors have been extremely helpful and polite. His treatments have been given at the times we were told and techs are very kind and knowledgeable. Any time we ask questions we receive clear precise answers. Im thankful that Casa Grande has such a good medical facility.

I and my husband are Canadians so when we travel to the USA, we have to purchase extra travel medical insurance from a private insurer. If we have a claim, we have to submit to them all the medical reports so they can pay the medical provider, in this case this hospital. I took my husband to the emergency last Thursday and was informed by the nurse they wont release the reports to us only to our family doctor and only if he requests them. (My husband visited this emergency department in the past before it became Banner and we always left the hospital with the reports; we did not even have to ask for them.) So we will now have to ask our family doctor to request them (I dont even know if there are going to be any charges for this) and then ask him to give them to us so we can send them to the insurance company. How ridiculous is that? Our doctor is not going to pay our hospital bill; our insurance company will. One would think the hospital would want to have the bill settled as soon as possible. But they wont be paid until our insurer processes our claim, which they cant without the reports. For this reason I give this hospital only one star.

Go to this location if your life depends on it that is the only reason you should go. You cant really tell if the doctors care or if the nurses care they just get you in and get you out. 2 times Ive had this happen to me and Ive been stranded both times with no way home. Fortunately we live in an age of technology or I do live at the doorstep at the hospital. If youre able to go to a different Banner like in Mesa theyre awesome. I know that individual experiences are per person, but Ive only come to this location for serious situations or for extreme pain and neither time have I really felt like the staff cared they just talk around you as though you dont exist. Its an awful feeling and I hardly ever post anything anywhere but this is the second time and its an awful feeling in the hospital should know that quality of life is mandatory even if a patient is not dying.

I went in at 12:30 Am on December 26th and was not seen until 12:30pm. I was having severe coughing, nausea, fever , high blood pressure. headache and earache. I waited 4 hours before they took my vitals, then another 4 hours before they did lab work. I was stuck 3 times by two different people and still no result, They were supposed to swab my mouth for flu and did not. I reminded them after 10 hours, I needed lab work. This time, they were able to get the blood and after another hour, was taken into the back and put in a room with a recliner with 3 other people. 30 minutes later, the dr, came in for 5 minutes, said I had bronchitis and would send in a prescription. I received a text saying my medicine was ready and I still had not been discharged. I had a IV in my arm and was putting on my jacket and getting ready to take it out, when they came in with the discharge papers. Never again. 13 hours to see a doctor is ridiculous

My husband was taken to ER via ambulance. The fire dept and rescue squad staff were phenomenal. The people in the ER dept need compassion training. They were the rudest people I have met in Arizona. My husband has been fighting cancer for 5 years and I’m just not used to being treated so poorly by medical staff. It was traumatic enough without the horrible rude treatment by staff there. It’s also disgustingly dirty. I will avoid this hospital at all costs. Wanted to add also that my husband was there 1 time prior to this for horrible pain on his right side chest. They wanted to remove his gall bladder... he had shingles. Had we went forward with the surgery it would have been catastrophic

Its O.K. for simple procedures. The nursing staff are good and they do care. The facility is getting new equipment and it is being modernized. But, remember that it IS run by a major corporation and time is money. The big problem is the surgeons, doctors and higher level medical staff. These medical people work in Casa Grande, because they cant work anywhere else. Their experience and education, in my opinion, are below par. If they were good, they would be in Phoenix. Go North or South to the major cities if you need important diagnosis or surgery. Dont take the chance in this facility. Oh! and one other important note. If a doctor or nurse do something wrong, your complaint falls on deaf ears.

This was literally the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. Sat there for 3 hours was seen for 5 minutes in the lobby couldn’t get a room after being told my room was being cleaned an hour before. Got a prescription and had to wait the next day to pick it up. Went to go pick up my prescription found out it wasn’t even sent over and have to go all the way back to the hospital to pick up a paper for my prescription and then head all the way back which to me doesn’t seem worth it I would’ve rather drove to chandler to be seen there then waste my time going here.

I cant say enough about the staff at this facility. I recently checked in at Banner after becoming ill during a recent vacation to the area. The courtesy, compassion, and professionalism of the entire staff was top notch. In spite of being extremely busy, the doctors took time to consult with me on several occasions. Every test and procedure was thoroughly explained before hand. Test results were relayed to me in a timely manner, and explained in laymans terms. I was never once made to feel like just a number. Many Ohio medical facilities could use some lessons in patient care from these folks. I will not hesitate to come back to Banner for future medical care once I retire to the area.

Having my health insurance call 911 believing I was having a stroke, just to reach the triage nurse tell me she didnt think anything was wrong with me have a seat theres a long wait. About 3 hours ago. She decided to play doctor knowing full well that yesterday I was hit walking to my car by an SUV @ Yeah a bit sore and exhausted. I guess if youre not bleeding.. you must not have a head trauma. Never again will I darken these doors. They take the care out of healthcare. Go to Gilbert! Nurses like her should be security guards youll find no compassion at this hospital. Doesnt even deserve a 1 star rating!

If I was able to give a 0 to this emergency I would be just because I went in thinking my daughter had blood in her stool she is 18 months old we had to wait 4 hours for them to tell us it was not that blood. for them to tell us that it was just a red dye that she probably ingested but it was 4 hours. If it would have been blood how serious with that situation have been 4 hours later that means something serious could have been going on with her but they dont care.

Dirty facility from ceiling to floor. Went in with a stomach issue and developed a staff infection as a result. Had to see my primary for antibiotics days later as a result. Bad, slow service in the intake area. You can tell this I JUST a job for them. Not something they got into because they care about people. If you have to go to the ER there. Make sure to bring a change of clothes and necessities. Because youll be there awhile.Banner buying Casa Grande Regional is the worst thing to happen to Casa Grande health care. This review wont ever make it to the eyes of Banner mobsters... I mean executives. But if you just have a small situation medically. I recommend going to Nexcare Urgent Care.... not Banner ER.Edit: Theyve started having patients wait in the waiting room, as theyre being treated. Instead of bringing them to the back. This hospital is getting worse by the day.
