Awesome. This health club has everything! The staff are very professional and nice, the cafe food is fresh and tasty. I came in to soak, steam and sauna, and was surprised to find they have a whole spa/salon here as well. Im just in town travelling but I wish I could be a regular member. I will be back on a day pass again before I leave to try out the rock climbing and other activities.

Out of all the locations in the triangle, I like this one the best. It’s clean, not super dusty, staff are friendly, there’s plenty of room for everyone to work out! I especially like working out with my highly motivated trainer PABLO, who is fantastic!! He’s very knowledgeable and it’s nice to leave the gym knowing I got a great workout in and seeing results right away. It’s important for me to make sure that I workout using proper form and get the most out of my workouts.

Managers are clearly not over looking the daily operations as they should, nor are the workers. Before Covid I have noticed areas of mold growth in the male showers. And just figured they would be cleaned at some point. Over a year later they are still there in the same exact places and have grown to absolutely disgusting sizes. There is no excuse for this other than the simple fact that people are not doing their jobs. One would think during a world wide spread pandemic the crew members and managers would pay full attention to the cleanliness of the club. I’m disgusted by the fact that we pay a premium price for a “luxurious” gym and in return all we are getting is showers and locker rooms that dirtier then a truck stop bathroom. This is beyond unacceptable. I remember a time when the showers were routinely being power washed to ensure cleanliness. Over 1 year…and the same gunk/mold is in the same place and over grown… I don’t know how I am supposed to keep recommending more friends and family to join a place that is so expensive and isn’t up to par with just a basic standard of cleanliness. Equipment is not being checked regularly for maintenance and machines are constantly showing signs of being on the edge of being broken.Would I recommend this club to you? No. Is it worth the price they charge? No.

I would like to say how wonderful David in the Life Spa is and what incredible talents he has as a massage therapist! I am a chronic pain sufferer and I benefit greatly from his abilities. He is a very kind and caring individual who helps me to feel better in general from our interactions. I cannot say how professional he is and what an exemplary service he provides! He has consistently reduced my 10/10 pain to nearly a 1/10. He is skilled at treating the trigger points I have from extensive injuries—and that makes my life much better and easier. Life Time in Cary is a better place because he works there!

Some might not agree with me here but i still think what happened was ridiculous. I left a swim bag with professional swim gear, and a few medals i had won inside one of the lockers. I had Covid so I didnt swim for a while. Apparently there is a tiny sign saying do not leave anything overnight in the lockers. Lifetime fitness decided to open the lockers and donate everything in there. That was 600$ worth of gear, and priceless medals I had won over the years. Even if there is a sign there saying dont leave your stuff i would assume a respectable establishment would have enough brain to realize this bag and medals inside are priceless and could hold it a little longer or even send out an email or something. Maybe I am wrong here, but that is some of the worst business I have ever encountered in my life. Maybe also when signing up you could be warned heavily about leaving anything in the locker room because they dont have the ability to realize when something was left there with no worth and something that could be priceless to one of there members that is paying them a lot of money since the establishment opened. In reference, that same gear was left in a locker at Triangle Aquatics center for 2 years while i was overseas. Yes it was there when i came back. Thanks Lifetime. Not enough I lost my job to Covid, now I cannot swim or afford new gear. But i guess its my fault right.

This Lifetime might seriously be the nicest gym Ive ever been to, Ive been to a lottt. It has two floors and pretty much everything you could possibly want in a fitness center: basketball courts, rock climbing, swimming pools, saunas, steam rooms and a plethora of cardio equipment, machines and free weights. This place is very well taken care of and extremely clean- makes it truly feel like a luxury gym. My favorite part of this Lifetime is the free unlimited group fitness classes that are included in the membership. If I had to choose between a month of crossfit or a month at Lifetime, Id choose Lifetime 9/10 times. The monthly membership price is also very reasonable for everything youre getting. Ive been to the renowned lifetime sky in Manhattan and I still think this one is way better.

Great place. It was not overcrowded, very spacious, more than enough equipment and activities. I will say the floors looked nasty, muddyish in the steam room and wet areas. For the money being spent the bathrooms need to be kept better. There was a sanitary napkin on the floor as well as hair. I also saw something floating in the water. The cleanliness makes me feel uncomfortable in the water area but everything else was good. It was my first visit to the Cary location. I hope that is not a regular thing or else I would not want to continue to go.

Im surprised by the number of bad reviews, Ive been coming here for years and havent had the experiences that some people are describing. Recently my husband and I reactivated our accounts after a long COVID Pause, we were so excited to come back. We BRIEFLY toyed with the idea of going to another gym but honestly nothing really compares. We had an issue with our membership charge and we sat down with the member services manager and it was smooth sailing after that. Everyone at check-in has always been lovely, the locker rooms are clean and are constantly getting cleaned, classes are top level, and the café is such a nice treat. We’ve been a part of this Life Time Fitness for about three months now. It’s expensive but for good reason - there are so many luxurious amenities (indoor lap pool, indoor swimming pool that is zero entry, indoor water slides, outdoor pool, outdoor water slides, full spa with facials, massages, nails, haircuts, cafe, childcare, rock climbing, squash courts, basketball courts, steam rooms, saunas, family friendly locker room...I’m probably missing stuff).Truly joining this gym has been a saving grace for my family, my health and my sanity. Their childcare is unbeatable. The people that work in the kids academy are so incredibly wonderful. I’m a stay at home mom to a two year old and ten month old and they rarely get babysat. It made me really sad joining. But there was always someone to hold the kids while they were adjusting, they were never left alone. They bonded with the friendly faces there pretty fast. They always call me if the kids won’t settle. It’s wonderful especially now that they’re expanding the open hours more. It’s so freeing having me time while also being able to trust they are in loving, capable hands just a minute away from me.Honestly though everyone that works here is great. I haven’t met a single person that isn’t very friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Kevin, who signed us up and light en our number one fans. The facilities are also always clean and orderly. It’s very COVID conscious. I love coming here to work out or sometimes just to nap while someone else takes care of my kids for a couple of hours. They don’t judge. So grateful for this center.

Had no idea when I first joined there was a rock wall. It quickly became the main reason I go here. The guys who run the wall are amazing and I hope the gym considers expanding the climbing area to at least add some bouldering and adding more climbing hours. I think a lot of folks south and east of Cary would join just for climbing if it were expanded some. The rock climbing gyms are nice, but add in the sauna and pool here and its an easy choice for me.

They offer amazing amenities (when fully functional), they provide plenty of space (at least during COVID) so you do not feel on top of one another while working out, and they have tons of equipment. (You will never be without in the cardio section)The price tag is a little high for what is currently available but once we have full access again I imagine that we will feel right at home again. Also, beware of the lockers, I have accidentally had my things locked in them on more than one occasion. Great gym! Been a member here almost 10 years now. I used to always rave about this place, but in the last few years a lot has changed and it’s not what it used to be. It used to be a top tier- now it’s just ok. One downfall is the cleaning staff is rude and disrespectful to the members. And recently in the past few years the gym also changed from 24 hr gym to limited hours of operation. That was a huge loss for me since I always was busy during the day I used to go workout at night. Now I barely go. I still have my membership for times here and there but definitely this place lost it’s touch!

Beautiful facility and very nice and helpful staff. Im not going to let the rude and entitled members affect my 5 star rating. It seems to me that when Cary transplants pay a higher price for an upscale facility they feel so much more entitled by coming here and setting their butt on the machines to text and browse their phones, then getting up after 10-15 minutes without wiping the machines. Although not stated but it used to be common courtesy to get off the machine and allow other members to work in while you use your phone. But even if you have signs everywhere in the wet area to take a shower before getting in the pools or Jacuzzis, you could still see privileged members jump into the pools without taking a shower.Still this is the best gym ever. It does feel more like a country club than a gym.

11June2019: Weve had a leak in the main group fitness room for 2 weeks and it has not been fixed. Their solution it seems is to put a bucket in the middle of the room to catch the water. This is infuriating considering how much we pay for this gym and the dues keep going up. Also, half of the steps we use for group fitness are either missing feet, have a huge bubble on top of them or altogether torn.18Aug2018: I find it very frustrating that classes start at 8:30am on Saturday mornings but you cannot drop your kids off until 8:30am. I am ALWAYS late for my class and in order to setup for class, I have to take my two children with me to the fitness rooms. Today, I asked if they could open the doors 5 mins earlier so I could get to class on time since I’ve been told many times by management they are supposed to open at 8:20. The lady waited until right at 8:30...said she needed to setup but then just stood there for 5 minutes doing really nothing at all. Plus she was rude when I asked if she could open early. I pay SO much money for this gym and to bring my kids and get mediocre services.12May2018: I was hopeful things would get better...new bands were ordered but they are all either broken or missing again. So frustrating! Now I am being told the pool is open but for the first two weeks, it’s for adults only...we pay so much for our kids to be members here so I don’t understand why the pool would open and exclude kids. I feel that is very cruel. The last thing is that the water bottle filler always says “replace filter”. They never do this in a timely manner and sometimes it will say it needs to be replaced and on RED for 2-3 weeks before they finally do it. So gross!Lifetime was so nice when I first joined! Lots of amenities and the prices were decent. Over the past 3 years, theyve raised my dues at least 5 times under the pretense of added amenties. This is not the case however. For the past month, all of the figure 8 bands in Studio one are missing so we can no longer do that part of the workout. Also, more and more classes cost extra money to take. So frustrating since I am already paying 120 for me and my two children a month.Today, I decided to take my kids to the indoor pool and we waited to come in until 1pm so they could also play on the water slide. Turns out, the hours posted online and on the app are not correct and the waterslide only runs the last 20 minutes of every hour instead of 1-7 like is posted. Needless to say, I had two very disappointed children. The kids club doesnt open until 8:30am on Saturdays so if you want to take an 830 class, you get to miss the entire warm-up by the time you can drop off your children.I am definitely frustrated by this clubs lack of customer service.

First off let me just say this facility is a nice facility they have great machines and equipment to work with but as a member it hardens me to say if you don’t mind cleaning up after messy members who don’t wipe down equipment after they use it, who don’t use equipment properly and abuse it because they lift more then they should be lifting. This is one of the reasons membership dues keep rising, it’s sad because this is one of the nicest Facilities that I’ve been to and with a little help from the members this place could be a lot better and I don’t get me wrong not all the members are nasty and miss use the equipment there are a lot of us who try our best to take care of the equipment and we wipe it down before and after we are done. Just some ruin it for the rest of us, this is one of the reasons I miss the club being open 24/7 because you could go in there at 1-4 in the a.m. and during this time it was clean and the people were not in there thinking that they had to get in a workout before work and be too lazy to wipe down equipment when it takes 5 to 10 seconds to do so.If this offends any of the members I hope so because the only ones that should offend or the lazy ones who don’t take care of anything or clean up after themselves.

This gym is money grubbing. During the pandemic lifetime shut down (understandable), this meant I had to seek other gyms that would accommodate. The gyms reopened in NC September 5th and my lifetime membership auto renewed after being suspended during the shutdown. At the time I heard commercial gyms reopening I canceled my membership with my other gym and looked forward to returning to lifetime after my 30 day notice. Lifetime credited me for the 2 weeks for the early shutdown in march (which i was grateful they did) but now has charged me for the month of September and October (ZERO check-ins). Not to mention they opened the pool during the shutdown and charged members regular fees to only use the outdoor pool. What a ripoff

Horrible customer service. The place is nice, the equipment is good, there is lots of space and some really convenient things like towels or shampoo. But their customer service is horrible. It is clearly a business, going for the most money possible. The pool is mostly reserved for swim team ( an add on fee). The climbing wall is open about 10h over the whole week.My main complain is their kids service. We removed our 4 children from the day care after they were bullied a couple times ( and no one noticed or cared ) after that we kept taking the kids to the pool with us, under our supervision. For 2 years that has never been an issue. We also had guests who came with their kids ( 3 to 8 children per guest). Until one day there is a sudden new policy that children need a membership to access the pool, and children of guests need to pay too. I feel like with that sudden change of policy we should have been able to cancel overnight instead of paying a whole month before canceling. Especially considering we removed the children from daycare for lack of supervision. The people at the desk couldn’t care less at our surprise and objection.

Facility is nice. It is crowded but still very manageable even during busy times. Well maintained. However don’t let them pretend you will get to use b-ball courts. And racquetball is hit and miss. One full court is used for daycare 12 hours a day i was told today. 12 kids were playing on the racquetball court and i couldn’t shoot alone to warm up. They do appoint a full time court manager to manage the second( but really only option) who does a good job but it can easily run 8 games behind. League takes over racquetball during peak hours. So they should re build and just tell you the two full court options aren’t for use. It’s worse in the summer. They make a lot of money off this so they cater to families i assume. Wish they would’ve have been more upfront If you want the weight area it’s nice but much cheaper options. Sad but is what is.

The Cary gym is clearly superior in terms of facilities compared to an average gym. However, it is very challenging to find times to use the basketball courts consistently because they use them daily during the week as a daycare facility and consistently hold birthday parties on them on weekends. A large number of members use the courts so when they shut off a whole court for hours on weekend afternoons it jams everyone onto one court. Our membership dues which are very expensive should allow us to use all of the facilities at least most of the time. We should not be subsidizing daycare and birthday parties. The birthday parties are also so random you cant plan around them. Looking into other possible options since Im confident the extra money made from these activities will preclude any resolution to the issue. There are very similar issues when it comes to trying to swim laps in the pool. Finally, please consider the folks you allow to work the front desk; they consistently do not make eye contact and smile when checking folks in which should be a minimum requirement. Hopefully things improve on all fronts but my experience over past several years doesnt indicate they will. Ive been a member since 2008 and have witnessed them worsen on balance in addition to significantly higher rates over past few years.

However I get off pretty late & this is the only one that’s open 24 hours. Recently I just found out that they will no longer be 24 hours starting January 1st 2018.That’s a deal breaker for me, especially for how expensive this place is. It is PRICEY. Also, you’re only allowed limited guest passes and certain hours guest can be allowed in. Which planet fitness is like $20 a month and you can bring whoever, whenever. The only other issue I’ve had with this gym is with the front desk. Since I go late night it’s usually the same people. There’s a woman at the front desk named Chelsea. Extremely rude. The last run-in I had with her is the icing on the cake on what lead to my cancellation with this gym. This isnt the cheapest place in the world, but I would recommend it as their facilities and amenities are plentiful and top notch; their customer service also is excellent.Great and varied kids programs and wonderful childcare facilities while you workout. My children have been involved in swim lessons here for nearly three years. We have been exceptionally pleased with their progress and staff.

Ive been going here for almost 10 years on and off. The facility is always improving in small ways whether it be equipment or otherwise. My only concern is the cleanliness. It seems like almost the entire facility is maintained to a satisfactory level - not a good level. The locker rooms generally smell pleasant but Im not sure how clean they are. Overall though for what you get, I think that its worth it - especially if you go in with 4 people total because it drops the price.

I got a membership in 2011, at that time, Lifetime fitness was best gym, beautiful pool, all was great. In 2016, after 5 years things had gone sour. The renovations to lockers were horrible. no more keys, but 1/2 combination locks were defective. I would normally train around 9 pm, equipment was dirty, towels left on machines, clearly no one was cleaning. The daycare wasnt great. We only used the daycare 6 times, 4 out of 6 I was disappointed with. I gave lifetime fitness almost 10K in membership services in 5 years and all went down hill. No rules at the pool, dirty diaper kids running around... hieck !!! We gave up on the pool... Just not worth the high prices....Attitude of staff at reception was definitely not great! only a few were super nice, others acted like we were disturbing them... After 5 years, my daughter was home from college and she was forced to pay for a guest to tag along, even during quiet times...No sense of loyalty for long time membership (full family)..ah well.. their loss...

Ive been a member of the Cary location of Life Time Fitness for a little over a year and a half. I have loved being a member of Life Time and much of it has to do with the people. I worked with a fantastic trainer, Matt, and lost almost 50 pounds, opening up a whole new fitness world to me. I have found great accountability and friendships through Life Time Run and the group offers strong quality training programs, whether your goal is a 5k or a full marathon. A lot of what I gained when I started at Life Time was education and I needed that! I participated in a 90-Day Challenge, which allowed me to attend seminars on fitness and nutrition and where I was at that point, I needed that! I did find myself a few months ago wondering if the cost was worth it, so I decided to explore parts of the gym I had been ignoring. Taking advantage of the pool and hot tubs has been great. If all youre looking for is a gym with bare bones, sure you can find something cheaper. However, all the extras at Life Time have been worth it for me.

I love it. Them going to their athletic alpha equipment was great. Been a member since 09. Fees went up, figures. THE only down fall for me is I tend to get workout urges at like 12am-2am, and before (prior to 2018) it was a real 24/7 gym. Wish it would go back. I would work really late at a restaurant or leave a party and could get a workout in. Now they close at 12am, and open at like 4am.

Great facility, but the managment doesnt truly care about the health of the members. When you have so many people not wiping down equipment and you tell staff, but nothing happens... thats just nasty!

Always someone happy to greet you, the whole facility is clean and I see employees picking up throughout day, as I go at different times. Kids Academy is great, as well as Summer Camp. Communication is wonderful and always get quick emails back. Plenty of equipment that even at busy times I never have a problem finding a machine to use. Only thing I wish is that Lifetime in general would have online registration for Summer Camp and Kids (paid) Classes...its a pain filling out a written form. Same goes for when you have to cancel a paid class. Highly recommended and worth every penny!

It is a nice gym but they keep on increasing my dues every year. I am not sure why they pick me and everyone I know pays a different rate. Consider yourself warned...

I have been a member here for 10 years and when I joined the price was about 70 dollars per month. After years of increasing today I received an email that the rate has been increased to 99 dollars per month. Over the last 10 years there have been no visible improvements to the place, and they have actually cut the hours since they used to be a 24 hour facility. The pool situation that other people mentioned has gotten out of control. Lifetime has expanded their swim team program, but that has come at the expense of the rest of the members. The pool is overcrowded and causes your workout to get interrupted frequently. The rock climbing wall is a frustrating amenity that is offered. This is the thing that I wish I could use more, but it is barely open for general climbing and normally full of kids hogging all of the climbing walls (literally going up and down the same climb 5-10 times while their parents play on their phones and don’t pay attention). There is no adult only climbing time.Cardio machine availability is the best benefit that lifetime has to offer. Targeted weight machines are few and far between. Lifetime has moved more towards free weights over the years, which is a benefit for advanced weightlifters but not so much for the average person. Finally I want to address customer service. Overall I have to say that the employees at Lifetime are the worst of any company I have ever come into contact with. This is something that has been consistent over the last 10 years, which means it is a part of the culture and not just a short term trend. There are a few staff members that are wonderful, but they are definitely the exception not the rule.I will be cancelling my membership due to this latest rate increase. It is sad that things have come to be what they are. Lifetime is absolutely worth 70 dollars a month, but falls very short of the 100 dollars a month standard.

I left Life Time almost two years ago and joined another club because I felt like I was paying too much for the facilities I was using. About a year ago I left that other club and came back to Life Time because I now realize the dark world of other gyms out there. At Life Time the facilities are cleaner (even if they arent perfect), the locker rooms dont have a looming stink, and the equipment is accessible.I found at less costly gyms, there just is not enough equipment to meet the demands of all the people that are coming in. I even work out at 5:30 in the morning and found myself waiting to even get a bench in the weight rooms. My point is this: Sure I would love to see my rates go down and spend less a month, but ultimately its those rates that are keeping the harmonious balance of members and equipment as well as affording the space that I enjoy. So having seen both sides of the gyms in the area, I am happy to be a member of Life Time.

Women, beware of harassment. I have so many good things I could say about lifetime, but I was recently harassed by a staff member, waited over a month to get an answer on what would happen / whether I could comfortably stay a member here... I was told he would be gone the next time I came, and I showed up to find him still working here. Women if you care about employees respecting professional boundaries, rules on appropriate touch, etc., beware — there are many wonderful trainers here but lifetime is okay with letting a creep roam free in the club training men, women and kids.

I switched over from 02 recently and I do not regret it. This gym is great as there are a multitude of squat racks so you dont have to really wait for others to finish. Furthermore, its open from 4-12 everyday so that is a big plus on weekends as 02 closes at 7. I like the atmosphere too as there are a lot of people working on bettering themselves so, in turn, it pushes you as well. The only complaint I have is regarding the guest policy. I feel for a gym charging 90-100 something a month, you should be allowed to bring a guest at any time. I understand the liability concerns but I found it a bit ridiculous that you cant bring anyone past 9 pm.

Seemed to be a normal lifetime gym for this level. Plenty of equipment and machines available, no problem getting on any equipment. Front desk was a breeze while I brought in a guest. Jumped right into a quick game on the court. One thing that seemed odd was that the activity desk was completely empty as well as the office in the back.

The tread mills have been removed that are the most popular and most used by customer of LTF. The ones that are never used remain in place. Might it not be a good idea for management to come up to the exercise area occasionally and see what is going on before making some of the decisions made at Regency LTF. Also, getting tv service repaired and working on the machines would be valuable also.I have talked to many who come daily and they have the same opinions.

Good facility with a variety of machines, class offerings, and equipment. It is always very crowded unless you go late and classes are almost always full at the times I go. I wish there was another platinum Lifetime close by so that it wasn’t so crowded at this location!

Train your staff when they call someones number to do a follow-up in regards to be professional at all times. Who ever was working the shift at 540pm the 15th of February 2020 Saturday evening. Decided to call my phone to do a follow-up of me joining Lifetime in Cary. Wither I decided to join the club or not employees should not tell customers over the phone they have made a wrong decision to choice another gym. Immediately that puts a bad taste in a customers mindset. If I did have any interest I have definitely changed my mind. Customer Service is everything remember that.
