I had my first appointment with them yesterday. Im giving them 5 stars because the staff was friendly, and professional. I was in, and out quickly. The Optometrist was very nice, and informative. I would recommend them to Everyone.

The optometrist was great and all my subsequent visits were the same. However, I always endeavor to arrive on time for an appointment as I did this last appt. But as usual waiting time was excessive and that would be my only complaint..

Friendly staff.. But some of them can b a little more professional.. I heard someone telling someone their Medical wouldn’t cover an item.. I felt like they should’ve just said your insurance doesn’t cover it.

I had a very nice experience until I had an appointement and waited 2 and a half hours to get in. To which is not very ideal to me because I scheduled that time because I have work and school to do. When I got in. The woman was such in a hurry that she rushed my appointment, changing the glasses, to fast and kept looking at her watch and I couldnt even ask a question. It was such a rush I feel like my eye glasses dont even match my vision. This was before COVID. The front desk even asked me why am i still there, she has already took her lunch and all . I will never come back here again.

My wife and I had an appointment with Carson vision for the first time due to our eye doctors office being closed because of the Covid 19 issues, It was a great experience the staff was very friendly and also very knowledgeable, Dr. Shiomi was very personable and he explained everything to us, he also has a great sense of humor, I highly recommend them, and they also have a good selection of eye frames, dont hesitate to go you wont be disappointed!!

I was helped the other day really well.I’m so bummed out I didn’t get the woman’s name.She wears glasses, she’s hispanic, her hair is a light brown with a tad bit of blonde in it. She really helped me out big time, I have this bad scare when doing my eye test, for some reason I have this image in my head that a needle is going to shoot into my eye and I jumped off the seat a few times.She was very nice, she does her job well, and we tried her method and it worked. Thank you so much Carson Vision for so many years of great work.

Always a good experience here, staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and conscientious about COVID-19 precautionary measures. They helped me pick a pair of glasses that met my needs and during the examination the doctor and staff were friendly and willing to talk with me about what was going on with my eyes, make a plan for my prescription, and share eye and glasses care best practices.

NO STARS AT ALLI am the type who will never in a million years post an extensive review of bad customer service. So far, this was the worst.I came in with my family and supposedly with two appointments. I am the recurring patient and my dad the new customer.Unfortunately, my whole family and I came in 5 MINUTES late, 5 MINUTES. Of course, I ultimately understand that we should not have gone in late for even a second but with our experience with appointments, hospital-wise, clinics, etc. 5 minutes late was never a problem.As we tried checking in, the first lady who approached us saying that they have given our spots to a family that consisted of three people. 5 MINUTES late and they gave our spots to three people. As we tried to handle the situation with the receptionist, she then blamed us for being 5 minutes late. She steers it to reasoning with the virus situation and their reopening after telling her that 5 minutes is a brief amount of time and it is not enough of an excuse to move us to the bottom list. What was worse is she repeatedly addressed that “what we are doing at the time is already wasting time”, meaning she said it’s a waste of time for us to be complaining. Now, if you were the customer, how would you react to that?Another disappointment is when they checked both appointments and shows that they only booked one of us which doesn’t include me. The receptionist continued to blame us as she said with an attitude “No, you did not book two with us” when a third party has already asked for my information including my dad’s over the phone a month ago.The receptionist then reminded my dad that he should have been 15 minutes early for paperwork that they also failed to disclose over the phone. They only told him to come at the appointment time assuming paperwork will be signed on the dot, not 15 minutes earlier.No, COVID is not an excuse! Reopening is not an excuse to stack up numerous customers when you only had ONE doctor who could not even catch up to so many patients in one day! I suggested that what they could do is give approximate convenient time to all patients for them not to be compromised and feel “tight” only for the assistant to respond to me ill mannerly, “we would only have two patients in a day if that’s the case”. Listen, that is not my problem nor it will ever be to any customer. It goes to show how poor time management and customer service are.Anything can happen to a patient at a given time, and for you to further worsen it by giving his/her spot to someone else because of checking in 5 minutes late is unacceptable. It is your responsibility to disclose how strictly punctual patients should be even if it’s 5 minutes or else you will give away their spots to someone else without regard.Now I understand the handling of COVID-19 and the busy reopening, but it is the management’s responsibility to space out everyone’s schedule with realistic proximities to accommodate everyone without possible inconvenience to both parties.I have been in Carson Vision for more than two years and it was all good until this happened. I will never come back here nor I will recommend this place to anyone. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD SO FAR.They never apologized, not even once.How’s that for customer service?

Rowena did an excellent job. She was pleasant when we arrived and was quick to accommodate us with our appointment. Less than 5 minute wait at the reception area, she already called us in to start the eye testing. She was very efficient and quick and organized. She was quick to respond with my questions regarding our insurance. The eye doctor was also very detailed with the eye testing. She speaks in a slow tone, and very clear and thorough during the testing procedure.

Office is always clean and I never have to wait when coming in for my appointments. This is the place my insurance covers and It’s down the street from my house. Have been doing co-management with my recent LASIK surgery and they have been amazing.

Have been going to Carson Vision more than 20 years and always received great service. Today I had an appointment and Rowena was my Optometric Assistant. She whized me thru the various eye machinery with ease. She was very efficient in explaining and processing my purchase with my insurance.Also had my eye glasses adjusted by Amber. She made sure I was happy with the fitting and she was very gentle with my glasses because I will continue using it for another year.Keep up the great service. Thanks.

Bad! This all started back in January 2017 first of the year, and I was super excited to use those benefits that Id been anticipating. Got there and got my glasses. The extras I wanted and I new a had to pay out of the pocket for. I was told by a young lady that all was covered which to me was expected meaning lenses/ frames. Walked away feeling pretty good about the experience. So I get a phone call/voicemail from said lady that she had made a mistake and that in fact I was only covered for my lenses and not my frames and she offered an apology and the option for a full refund and this is all on my voice mail. I called back immediately disappointed in the error on her part and decided to get a full refund as she offered no other option well except wait till next year when I could utilize my full benefits lenses and frames. I was done needless to say as she didnt offer anything else to compensate me for the error even as I asked. Which brings me to today 30Nov17. Made my appt on yesterday 29Nov and upon making my appt I asked the man over the phone could he please make a notation in my file in the computer that I would be coming in just for glasses as I new from the previous mix up that all I was covered for was lenses for 2017 and wanted no other futher mix ups. He responded that he would do so. I arrived today for my 115pm appt at 117pm I was told by the front desk lady that shell be right with me. I started looking around and thats when Alex aprroached me asking if he could help meI immediately told him that I had a 115 appt and gave him my last name. No response from him so I continued to walk around looking for my frames that I new I would be paying for as Again I was only covered for my lenses. 15mins goes by and I assumed all this time Alex was calling checking on my insurance as I did see him on the phone and a chart in front of him, but never a Ill be right with you, or sorry for that wait, just nothing. Another lady comes over didnt get her name and asks me if Id been helped and I told her that I thought Alex was helping me as I gave him my info and hed never gotten back to me. She apologized and said shed help me. Right off the bat she says to me your here for an eye exam right! as Im following her to the back. I responded no and that I was just there to pick glasses/frames as I was only eligible for the lenses. She was a bit confused and asked me to wait as she would go and speak with the Dr., and now Im confused as to why. She comes back and offers another apology and goes on to explain that Im covered up to $150 for my lenses only as I new. Finally on the same page. I told her that I didnt wanna come out the pocket for frames and thats when she told me that the first 2 tables of frames were covered and no out of pocket expense. I quickly gathered my frames and walked to the back where Alex was. He offered no apologies for earlier and he gave me options as I took one of the options which was for transitions which would be extra. I told him that was good and he told me the price was $204 and I said thats fine as I would be paying a small amount of $54 out of my pocket. Alex asked me to have a seat until he writes up my receipt. He calls me back to tell me that I total amount was in fact $204 and not the $54 difference as I agreed upon. When I asked him why, he went on to explain to me about original costs not why I was being charged the total instead of the difference. He then told me,,,,,,Wait for it,,,,THAT I was Covered for FRAMES very addimently so. Very sure of himself. I told him that I new I wasnt and that I was Again covered for lenses only. He exused himself to the back Im assuming to grab someone else and in walks Frank. Frank is the Lab Manager and says to me that he would be telling me the same thing as Alex did. So I pointed out to him that Alex debated with me that my frames were covered and in fact I new for a fact that they werent covered! He said that Alex probably gotten confused and asked Alex and he shrugged his shoulders offering no reason why. Very bad!
