Ive volunteered at the soup kitchen a few times and the people have always been super nice! They run a tight operation but they have to feed as many people as they do. Its incredible to see in operation and is a great blessing to have in the community!

They are always just so sweet when I take my grandfather.

Times were tough before the pandemic, and just got worse after the shelter at home order, (work completely dried up). I was 1 step from living in a tent in the area, when I found out about the place. I had no car at the time, but was lucky to have a bike. Believe me, it beats walking. The Kitchen was a God Sent. A hot meal twice a week, and whole week and supplies at the end of month. Its not just about the delicious, wonderful food prepared by caring, hardworking volunteers (who know how to cook), but also the Kitchen is a source of social contact. With the chit-chat at morning bingo and a hot cup of Joe to warm the bones, I felt a little bit if normalcy again. Theres a lot of good people who have hit hard times who, without the Kitchen, would truly be in dire straight. Theres always a verity of good conversation with the meal on Mon. and Thur. 11:00am. God bless the hard-working volunteers, and All their work, their efforts are truly apriciated.
