I do not usually write bad reviews, but I have never paid so much money for bad service.Terrible customer service...1. Disrespectful staff sit behind the counter and laugh off what you’re saying or ignore you completely. There was one person who did try to help, but the systems are disorganized.2. They require numbers on the back ironed(no tape or writing) but do not have any iron and will charge per game if you do not have one.3. Refs..there was a not a ref for half the first part and when the 1 ref appeared they did not seem to know all the rules4. Game times change and there is no alert system. So you have to continually check the websiteWe paid 3 fees to play, so we will play this year. If you can play somewhere else... do so!

Ive been playing here a little over 10 years. Its not the nicest facility as far as cleanliness, but I think its fine for going in and playing an indoor game or 2. The staff is chill and the refs are generally good with the occasional bad ref or average ref who has a bad game. Lot of regulars that go there who enhance the experience because theyre good people.

If you want to play in a league that is WAY overpriced compared to the professionalism and management provided then play here! I have played a few seasons here and after this last time I played I had to write a review. The officials here are HORRIBLE. There is probably two decent officials here, with one named Billy who is great at what he does and is fair to both teams while managing the game very well. The other officials WILL cost you games on bullshit calls with no obvious reasoning. I understand officials have hard job having been one myself, but not giving cards when needed to control a game and counting goals that should not have been counted has happened too many times. We played in the Championship of a Men league recently and the referee literally cost us the game by allowing multiple goals that were caused by his error and lack of knowledge, while not pulling a blue card to save his life! If a ball crosses the goal line after the clock is out, then it is NOT a goal. According to this facility it is though! It is ridiculous to have to pay that much for a league to get bad officials in a Championship game. We only lost 2 games all season, both being due to horrible officiating and costly mistakes on their end. The management is equally as ridiculous for not correcting the problem in a Championship game and letting referees go untrained.Moral of the story:Facility is pretty decent to play onWAY overpriced for quality of management and professionalismOfficials are untrained and unfair, and should probably get out of the professionManagement lack required skills and professionalism , and will back their untrained officialsWASTE OF MONEY AND TIMEFind somewhere else to play!

I play here on a Wednesday night coed league and I have to say I am pleased with the facility. I have been to others around town and I enjoy the most being here. With a super tall ceiling and the field layout the size of a hockey rink its much better than the field sizes when compared to Blue Sky or Indoor soccer zone. I will continue to play here because of the reasonable team fees and the manager I deal with, Ben, who is great to work with.

**Gym review**Never had a problem until I started going to the gym at open 5am on weekdays. It’s currently 6:33am and still no one has shown up, clearly whatever kid was tasked with opening the building slept. A few others haven shown up a little later and left because they weren’t open.If this happens again I will find myself another gym, not worrying waiting around for some kid to finally show up and open. Also management is terrible.

The management here is horrendous (especially one of the female heads). They care much more about money and appearance than the game. Our team should have read the other reviews first and taken them to heart. Change the management and I would consider returning. Until then there are many other facilities around town where they appreciate that players main focus is just playing the sport.

Very disappointing. Management could do better. One team dropped from our division (the bottom). Management put a team together to take their place with all very experienced players. The game was quite lopsided and showed managements lack of understanding about why we are there; to have fun.Management might have been better served putting up a lesser team so all could have fun, not just the professionals playing against weaker opponents.

Poor management and bad customer service. All they care about is money they don’t care if you are safe or having fun playing soccer. I played on Tuesday night adult league and had a bad experience. They are so cheap that they only assign one referee to your games and that referee has no ref certification or grade 8. Most of the time referees are under age and has no experience so there is a high chance that referee can’t control the game and you’ll get hurt. (There are couple of good referees but 80% are just young with no experience and certification)They make the games so intense that we had to just leave in middle of the game so we don’t get hurt.3 of our players broke bones because of bad calls.Like I said all they care about is to get your money and don’t care about your safety.

Not conducive to fair and safe play.Good playing surface, they dont follow their own rulebooks (there are many), many referees dont call fouls and have been instructed not to, management has no power to help & blindly follows their internal policies, require you to pay to wear their branded heavy cotton shirts, may require you to buy new shirts the next season, require annual fees per-player, contradictory rules of the game, unwritten rules called differently per-referee, reschedule your games without notice, if you need to reschedule their policies are prohibitive, indoor temperature too hot at times, smells sweaty at times.Any attempt to discuss issues with American Indoor lead to no recourse whatsoever, they take the strong-arm customer is always wrong approach.Unfortunately, I believe they lack the intelligence to turn around their business. People have been complaining for years about this place.

Review №38

Dangerous Play. This place is run by kids that wont take responsibility of keeping the play clean on and off the field. I have gotten a concussion here while multiple teammates have been injured to the point of needing to go to the doctor. Each time the refs never showed a card and barely had a talk with the player. Players are allowed to play even if they are drunk. Fist fights have broken out several times and Ive seen one go into the parking lot where someone hit another player with their car and the police had to be called.Over Thanksgiving they put new flooring in and replaced the toilets (that never flushed before) in all the bathrooms. So great job at trying to keep it clean and nice. Also the turf is nice so when you do fall its not so bad. But, all this doesnt outweigh the problems and for those reasons my team signed up for other indoor leagues.

Jo
Review №39

The customer service is absolutely ridiculous here. I really dont know how this place survives compared to other complexes like Blue Sky and Inwood right down the road.We had an awful experience with Asher. The silly thing is that it was over $2. ONLY two freaking dollars. My problem was not that we had to pay $2, it was the consistency and the unprofessionalism. For one, we have rarely been charged this before. You cant have the same number as a teammate and especially at the start of a season, they are extremely relaxed on this. There is no need for the lack of consistency. They also couldnt charge $2, since it is a $5 minimum on a credit card. Therefore, that poses a problem for people that dont carry cash anymore, which welcome to the 21st century, a lot of people dont carry cash, especially when they are coming to work out. When trying to reason with them and say, hey can we just put a note on the file and if I dont pay by my next game, then I wont be able to play?. He would not even work with us, even though we have both played on teams there for years. AGAIN IT WAS TWO FREAKING DOLLARS.It was paid, but after that was the real issue. The kid, Asher, clearly doesnt have customer service experience. He starting talking to his peers about the situation and about the other players that were playing. It was wildly unprofessional and extremely disrespectful. Using profanity and unnecessary jargon to describe players and our situation. He also stated that he felt like we were rude and if he would have liked us, it wouldnt have been an issue to waive the fee entirely. We were offering to pay the fee this weekend at our next game...What?I even watched them GIVE a jersey with a number to a guy on the opposing team WITHOUT making them pay a dime...In a small business like this where you are an EXTRA for people not a NECESSITY. It is extremely important to keep customers happy and empathize with them to make things work.Be consistent! I dont care if we have to pay the $2, but you cant all of a sudden be strict on your policy. Its like this is the first time this kid has had some power and got a nice little power trip out of it.The entire situation was ridiculous. As a business manager myself, I would hate to have someone like this on my payroll and running away my business, especially when your profits are probably minimal anyway. There was no need for him there anyway. He sat behind the guy at the front counter watching videos the entire time we were there. All in all if we could move our team to a different location now, I would. I would also discourage anyone else from starting a team at this location, when there are two Blue Skys decently close to here.

The playing facilities are great (full size field is in solid condition), but the management and their policies are awful - to the point I would suggest you NOT play here.Just read the previous reviews by others below to understand what policies and terrible (occasionally deceptive) customer service is to be expected. They have not changed. If you sign up to play on a certain day (say, Sunday), expect to play 25% of your games on a different day.Refereeing is a toss up in terms of quality, but its a recreational league so its not high on my complaint list. Although for the $85/game they charge in team fees, youd expect some consistently decent officiating. Really, its just one or two bad refs who ruin the experience and the rest are pretty good referees and people to work with.

So my team has been playing here for 7-8 years now and the last two years the management has taken a turn for the worse. The owner doesnt care about his loyal customers. We had an issue with one of the refs and when we contacted ownership about the issue the first response he makes is, if you dont like it go somewhere else. As someone who has been in sales and management for years, you dont make that comment to long standing customers who you know by name. There are enough places now that we will be going elsewhere. Ralph, you are a horrible owner and business person. No management skills and your staff cares just as much as you.

This is the first time that I have visited American Indoor Sports Facility in Carrollton and I was extremely impressed. I have recently visited Blue Sky and Inwood and American Indoor is top-notch. Clean and well managed facility. I stayed for a little over two hours to watch matches and the teams were very competitive and referees were very experienced. I recommend the young and old to venture to this facility for their league play! This Facility also has Soccer Tots for Families and a well stocked weight and fitness room. In Comparison to other Sports Indoor Facilities, it was well priced for Team Play and has a convenient location in North Dallas, right off Sam Rayburn Tollway / 121. Quick 5-10 minute access to Frisco/Plano/Lewisville/Grapevine.

As a veteran soccer player with experience playing at variety facilities and states I have to say i really enjoy playing at american indoor. The field is big and has a lovely surface. I really like the upgrades they have made with the glass walls going round the entire field which makes it easy to watch games. My team stays preregistered which means we play 8 games for 575 the cheapest i have seen in the metroplex for 6 on 6. I was frustrated not being able to wear our own jerseys at first and having to buy an American Indoor one. Then I was playing in Dallas and the team we played had three different colored shirts . It looked like crap and was confusing. I like showing up knowing the other team will not have a jersey the same color as mine. I see many hating on the refereeing. I agree every now and again i might disagree with a call but nothing as bad as some of the calls i have witnessed in outdoor mens league. Just because a ref is North Texas approved really doesnt mean much. I got flagged offside on a throw in last month!!! I was surprised to hear people say this facility allows rough play. I think the opposite. There has been no slide tackling for years and dirty play and fighting seems to be dealt with strictly. As for the owner. I like the fact he is so involved in the running of his business. He is always willing to listen about complaints and problems we may have, and explain why things are done certain ways. You might not always get your way but its better then dealing with a absentee owner. Overall I enjoy playing at American Indoor and would recommend it to anyone looking to play indoor soccer.

This is by far the WORST indoor soccer facility in the DFW area. Very inconsistent on facility rules.. Friends of the owner or employees are basically allowed to do and say whatever they want. Employees play on teams and referee bias is obvious. The owner even plays in the men’s league and loud mouths players on other teams yet the refs do nothing because they are scared of carding their boss. Staff is rude and doesn’t pay attention during games half the time. Plus all of them have different answers pertaining to rules. VERY UNORGANIZED. It’s also overpriced for their crappy fields and they even make you pay $9 for a mandatory t-shirt with their logo on it. Save your money and go to blue sky - colony where you can wear your cleats!!!!!Clearly management is leaving reviews! (Ryan O) Sounds a little commercial dont you think? You were there for two hours and can conclude that its better than both blue sky and inwood, when youve never set foot on the field at american indoor? You also happen to know the league pricing, all about soccer tots, and that AIS is conveniently located near every major city in the DFW? Awesome free advertising american indoor, yall deserve a pat on the back ;)
