My mother went in as an alcoholic. They kicked her out in two weeks because her Medicare insurance was up. No follow up .They turned me in to Adult Family Services for allegedly stealing her money which she had none to steal.I’m out $10,000.00 for attorney fees. I was exonerated but still out 10k and my mother is still an alcoholic and she and I are worse off

Other than the constant dismissal, gaslighting and profiteering off of people who actually need help, Carrollton Springs is a wonderful place - really nice if you are into the prison aesthetic. I would recommend you do as much research as possible on potential physicians before being admitted to this place - and then go somewhere else.

Carrollton Springs was a literal life saver for me. Ive battled PTSD, depression, and anxiety for many years and finally had a breaking point where I was ready to end my life. My therapist recommended Carrollton Springs, and I immediately went for intake. I was inpatient for 10 days. They managed my medications and got me on a great combination for my anxiety and depression. The group therapy was helpful as well. The food could be better, but it is decent I suppose. The biggest perk here is the STAFF! They are almost all of them are amazing, caring people.I hope I never have to come back, but if I need to, I know Carrollton Springs will take good care of me.

I participated in about three weeks of PHP and three weeks of IOP, so nothing in my experience should be applied to the Inpatient side of treatment. I did not do inpatient, and thus cant comment on it.That being said, I cant remember a time in my life where I have felt this stable. I came into Carrollton Springs miserably sad. Supportive peers in group therapy, empathetic counselors that push you to better yourself, and psychiatrists that are committed to getting you on the proper medication(s) are all things you will have at your disposal.Carrollton Springs absolutely has the resources needed for you to get better, all you have to do is commit to it.

I’ve been to 6 inpatient facilities and Carrollton Springs definitely has its pluses and minuses. On the plus side it was clean and the food was decent. Staff was very hit and miss, more miss. Too many of the staff were entirely unkind and not empathetic to the point of being mean. You can’t receive calls from family there, period and anyone can leave you a message even without your patient code which can be very upsetting. Not even 1 one on one counseling session. The only person who heard my story was a wonderful tech (Hi Felicia!). If I could do it over again, let’s face it I probably will, I’d choose Rock Springs in Georgetown.

One of the absolute worse hospitals I have ever been to. I spent one day in outpatient and the therapist told me treatment would not help me after I explained the symptoms of my PTSD, severely setting back my own progress and healing. This places staff is absolutely disgusting, they dont help people, they dont care about helping anyone. They only want to pump you for every cent you have. They had the audacity to call me month after my time there and ask how I was doing as if they hadnt made my life feel completely hopeless. I do not suggest ever participating in anything with this hospital.

My father came out of here worse than when he went in. Hardly any information is given to the families and now with covid restrictions you are not even allowed to have visits with your loved one. They say you can do zoom visits but we did not once have a zoom visit the entire time my father was here. About a month after my dad was released from here we actually had to send him to another psychiatric hospital because this place did absolutely nothing for him. The first night my dad was here we called and the nurse that picked up was insanely rude to us. She claimed we yelled at her and got extremely defensive telling us look I dont know who told you your dad would sleep tonight but he doesnt see the doctor until tomorrow morning and then she hung up on us. I really thought that nurses understand even if family members are stressed out not to add to that stress by being rude and getting defensive. It was insanely unprofessional. Intake took literal hours. First time we tried to admit my father they made us wait for 3 hours and then finally took his temperature and said he had a small fever and would have to get health clearance before being admitted, why didnt they take the temperature first thing as soon as we got there? So we had to go to the ER to get a covid test, spent all night there, and then had to come back to Carrollton Springs the next day with a clean bill of health where intake took about 7 hours in total.

My greatest responsibility as a husband is to protect my wife. I failed that responsibility by allowing her to be admitted for inpatient care at Carrollton Springs.. When her depression worsened, we were recommended to this facility for an assessment. Spent 5 hours waiting, finally speak with a evaluator and even after we made it clear that we had a safety plan and that returning home in the evenings would be best for her, they still strongly recommended 7 days of inpatient therapy. We were scared and naive, unfamiliar with mental health crisis, and decided to trust the opinion of a medical professional. This was a mistake I will likely regret for the rest of my life. They put my traumatized and depressed wife into a unit with screaming psych patients. She was followed around by leering male patients and when she attempted to report harassment and feeling unsafe she was treated like a problem. They disrespected her, coerced/intimated her into taking optional sedative medication (per the doctor), and consistently ignored her concerns for safety. The result has been much more detrimental than beneficial. Basically a week of enduring psychological warfare. She came home with major symptoms of PTSD and is still recovering weeks later. It greatly exacerbated underlying conditions that will likely affect our lives for many years to come. If you value your spouse or loved one, be very careful before admitting them here. Men may be safe (from harassment at least) but they do not protect the women in their facility.

My only complaints were the food, intake time which was 6 hours and lack of deaf awareness. They did a good job at taking care of my needs even though most patients are there for mental issues. Id reccomend this place over the other options in DFW area unless you have really good insurance.

I JUST GOT OUT OF IN-PATIENT THERAPY AND NOW I HAVE MORE TRAUMA THAN WHEN I WAS ORIGINALLY ADMITTED MID FEBRUARY 2021 UNTIL EARLY MARCH SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. I have been out of in-patient for over two weeks now. During my first week back home, I was experiencing major PTSD symptoms and would be easily triggered multiple times a day, which I have never experienced before I was admitted to in-patient treatment. While I was in-patient, there were several instances that I did not feel safe from other patients and I expressed and reported to the staff multiple times and I believe they used a scare tactic to by saying I could call 911 if I felt I was in immediate danger. If I have expressed several complaints, based on Carrollton Springs Bill of Rights I should have been sent a patient advocate to talk with me, but I wasn’t made aware of the patient advocate program because it was buried in so much paperwork. Once I expressed my complaints multiple times, I realized I had to rely on my fellow patients that I had befriended in the facility to keep me safe, when that definitely isn’t even their job. The worse part about it is that they switched up several patients medicines and were giving out medicine that was not prescribed by the doctor. Also, once you get a little too agitated, it seems like they drug you up with as much Trazadone as possible to keep you quiet so they don’t have to deal with you. During my whole in-patient treatment, I had a dozen panic attacks when I had only had two ever prior to being admitted. I have never in my life questioned medical professionals because I never had a reason to. Now I have a hard time trusting medical professionals and my loved ones because my voice was never heard during in-patient treatment. My spouse also noticed when I was sharing my complaints in a calm and respectful manner with the house supervisor that they didn’t seem to be listening to what I had to say and were waiting for opportunities to dismiss my concerns. I felt like the supervisor treated me like I was mentally unstable and delusional and my spouse definitely noticed this the second I left because the supervisor immediately was at ease and started laughing with my spouse. Please never check yourself into this facility. It would save you a lot of time and money of all the trauma they put me through. I will now require more therapy to treat my PTSD.

My wife voluntarily went to this facility for mental health concerns, a reset of sorts. When we got to facility we found out it’s also a drug treatment facility. I was concerned the treatment and environment she needed was not related to drug addiction. We almost walked out during admission because of it. I was told by admissions rep she could leave the facility by signing an AMA(against medical advice) if she chose to leave. NOT TRUE! They outright lied as did her treating psychiatrist. She was roomed with a heroin addict. Stayed for 5 days then decided she wanted out. She signed the ama to get out and was promptly restricted to her building, “locked down”. She couldn’t eat in the dining facility, she couldn’t attend group sessions, took away smoking privileges too. After the 24 hour period we were told if she wanted to continue her AMA she would have to see a judge to get out. Her Psychiatrist even refused to see her after the AMA saying she saw the PA and he didn’t have time. Ironic bc he was the one holding her in the unit. Should have been evaluating her. She is not a threat to herself or anyone else. No reason to force her to stay. This is a money racket! She’s been held against her will for 2 days now. We are filing a complaint with the Texas Health and Human Services Dept. and Medicare against her dr and the hospital. If you care about your loved one DO NOT TAKE THEM TO THIS FACILITY!

Finally I spoke to someone who said that my wife had not signed the papers to release the information. Why couldn’t someone have told me this 5 days ago????? She made me feel like a normal person but when it came down to business she took care of everything I needed. I have to say something about Miss Joan: Without her, I would never be at group. Every single day she would give me a ride and we would talk about a lot of things mainly sports which was awesome but when I needed advice she would give it to me. Lastly, I want to thank my therapist Hannah. Without her I know I would not be where I am today and the way I am feeling today. She always asked the right questions, gave me sound advice, and really just knew what to say whenever I would bring up a problem or situation that I was currently dealing with. She helped me find the confidence in myself and taught me the coping skills I can use for any situation that may come up. I’ll start by saying this is not my first visit to an outpatient psychiatric facility. With all of the good reviews I saw here I was very optimistic to try this place out. So far I have been incredibly unimpressed with the IOP program. The therapist I was assigned to seemed very distracted throughout group and behaved as if she didn’t want to be there. I never got the impression that she wasn’t paying attention to me, but it definitely seemed that she tuned certain people out. When I asked staff if I could be moved to another group or look at a different time slot, I wasn’t given a definitive answer. I was also told conflicting things about certain groups that were offered and their time frames. The staff seemed to be very unorganized and didn’t know the correct times of groups. Every interaction I’ve had after my intake has felt very uncomfortable and passive aggressive. I will say that my initial intake was great, the coordinator I dealt with was amazing, and perhaps I’ve just had poor luck since then. I would still advise you to look elsewhere. I’ve been to facilities with way worse reviews and experienced professional staff and a much more warm and inviting environment.

Doctors are seen daily to ensure you are on track with your program and if they need to make any adjustments. You will enjoy your stay and even more so enjoy the results.

I was in shell shock my first day here. I didnt think my drinking was that bad. When they recommended that I go inpatient for detox(I was drinking up to 8 beers a day), I didnt agree to it right away. Im glad I did it though. The staff and doctors were wonderful! They helped me through my detox with medications and therapy. After I got out of inpatient, I was placed in a partial-hospitalization program, then an intensive outpatient program. My therapist, Deborah, is a God-send! She tells it to you like it is, no beating around the bush! I believe that is what all of us addicts/alcoholics need. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone struggling with alcoholism, addiction, anxiety, depression....all or just one or two of these conditions. I will always be in recovery, but I know I got great start on my journey by coming to Carrollton Springs!

They picked up my dad at a hospital. He had a stroke and had aphasia. He was elderly and confused. They threw him down on the floor and injected him with something to subdue him. He ended up being labeled bipolar!!! He could not even speak. He ended up on a cornucopia of medicines to dull him. The system to treat the mentally ill in America is abhorrent. This person had a stroke and was not mentally ill. Please spend one day here to observe before admitting your loved one. Please don’t reply to my review with an apology. It’s too late.

Although, this isnt where I imagined I would end up at the ripe age of 25...I have to say that Carrollton Springs has been a life-saving experience for me (literally). I dont think anyone anticipates checking themselves into a mental health facility, but I am glad that I was brought to this particular facility. The entire staff genuinely cares about the health and wellness of their patients: the psychiatrists (Dr. B), the nurses (the entire team on Silver unit), the techs (Eric, Shirley, Lisa, Deanna, Chris, Star, and actually all techs), the therapists (Shout-out to Phillip). If you are willing to work hard and put effort into self-awareness and self-acceptance, then the team can work alongside you to genuinely continue and change your life for the better.

I cannot put in words how grateful I am for Carrollton Springs. During the darkest time of my life I had complete strangers show me the light. The staff is AMAZING. They are truly the most compassionate and genuine people who want to help you. I loved that they allowed GOD into our curriculum. Thank you all so much!

Carrollton Springs is a top notch facility with its friendly staff, cleanliness, and good reputation in the community. I only have positive things to say about this facility as I always have a good experience when I come. I was able to do CPI training here and the gentleman who gave the class made it fun and it was very insightful. To sum all of this up, this is a great hospital!

I have been to a couple treatment centers before, but NONE of them compare to the AMAZING care I received at Carrollton Springs, they got me sober 7/12/2017 but have needed some help with recent traumas, and they still continue to give the best support, the best staff, great food, smoke breaks as well as fresh air breaks and they have always checked on me periodically throughout the day. I was under the care of amazing psychiatrists as well that really dedicate themselves to the patients. A super positive environment to heal in!! I would say this is the best recovery center in Texas!!

I have been to SEVERAL inpatient psychiatric facilities and Carrollton Springs has actually given me the best treatment thus far. I would recommend this place to anyone who is seeking help for whatever it may be. Compared to all the places I have been to this place is incredible. An extra plus is they have cigarette smoke breaks and A LOT of hospitals now do not. Come to Carrollton Springs!

Excellent housekeeping...clean professional appearance with facility inside and out. This is very important with any treatment facility. Staff seemed helpful and enjoying jobs. Staff seemed to want to help as much as possible despite difficult circumstances inherent in mental health environment. I would recommend facility for those clients and families that are needing mental health assistance and support.

I was in here a few years ago for detox/rehab. After about a week there I had a seizure. The doctors gave me lactalose since my ammonia levels were too high. This continued for a few days, then i had another seizure. They then decided to send me to the hospital, which they didnt pay for at all. The hospital treated me AND the flu I had picked up from this place. After about a year, I get a letter from them saying I owe them about $1600. I tried to find out why, but I got no answer. It then went to collections and I tried to dispute it, and they said the debt was valid and denied the claim. Terrible administrative staff. Did i mention we had no hot water for a day due to construction? Avoid this place.

The dedication and devotion of the staff to quality patient-focused care is beyond exceptional. The patient comes first in every sense of the word. This is a unique and completely genuine perspective in the world of mental health care. I would completely trust my care and that of my loved ones to this facility if this were needed. I am honored to have the experience of witnessing the staff in action on a regular basis.

This hospital offers great services from doctors to therapists. The food is pretty good for a hospital but they definitely try and meet needs such as dietary and religious needs. They do a good job at trying to treat patients as well as they can no matter the need and are not surprised by any mental health issue or actions coming from that and are prepared for it as well.

First let me say that my overall rating is really closer to 5 Star but due to the lengthy intake process I am giving 4. That said, prepare yourself for about a 4-6 hour process upon entry. I was personally impressed with how well oiled the hospital as a whole worked from Drs, nursing and support staff. The PCAs (techs) were absolutely phenomenal and I dont think I could have made it through my stay without the help, kindness and caring from my family of PCAs. I feel like I have truly been helped toward wellness and I am personally so very thankful to Carrollton Springs. If you or a loved one is suffering with your mental health, I highly recommend this institution.

I was just a visitor but have had several family members in and out of facilities. Ive never visited a family member so close to there admission day be so positive and have no real complaints. The only suggestion I would have is while waiting for visit a possible intake was there in the same lobby on public display with no one immediately available to speak to them. There is always a fear when entering a strange place I feel patient intake should have a separate entrance with privacy and proper a medical professional available. Other then that if you know someone in need this is an excellent option.

This is an excellent place for short-term detox and/or stabilization for mental health illnesses. The doctors are great, the nurses are knowledgeable, and the rest of the staff is overall very caring. However, if you are seeking anything other than temporary assistance and medication adjustment, this is not the place for you. I was extremely disappointed with the counseling and the counselors. Other than that, this is a very good place for help with addiction and mental health issues.

I had never done inpatient therapy before and was skeptical, but after my time here I would 10/10 recommend this establishment to anyone in need of intensive therapy or round the clock care. The staff is incredibly helpful, empathetic, and informative. The psychiatrist I saw was mindful of my medical history when reviewing medication and treatment plans. Once discharged, there are other outpatient options to continue care. Hopefully I dont need to come back but in the off chance I do, Ill be returning here.

I have been with Carrollton Springs for 3 years and love everyday of it! I worked at the front desk where I was able to see families bring in their loved ones in desperate need and hope that Carrollton Springs could help them. After a few days of treatment, I am able to see patients who once were unstable, get the treatment they need and walk out of our facility healthy and happy. Carrollton Springs provides their employees with the support and tools to ensure that our patients received the very best treatment and experience. I am very proud to be part of the Carrollton Springs team.

Carrollton Springs, Man if I had to pick one word itd be amazing. I was in inpatient here and it really helped. My depression went from a 9 and wanting to die to a 2 and hopeful to live. This place has the best staff and will do anything to make you feel very comfortable and have a close to home feel. The staff is amazing and very friendly. The people you meet are people that impact your life forever, in a small or big way. This place definitely deserves 5 stars. I am so thankful for everyone at Carrollton Springs. My medical care at Carrollton Springs was top-notch.The staff are professional, kind, caring, knowledgeable, and dedicated to the well-being of their patients. However, you have to be willing to admit you need help, plus accept the help, even if it’s a hard pill to swallow, so to speak. My mental health is back on track now. As long as I keep putting in the work with the information and skills I was taught, both during my stay and in outpatient care, I can expect great things going forward for my own personal well-being.I have to give kudos to a few people who were extremely helpful in my recovery - Bee (RN-I think), Julie (LPC-I), Randy (LPC), Evangeline (Tech), and Anita (Tech).Thank you Carrollton Springs for your compassion and guidance.

Having been to other centers, I would definitely not recommend Carrollton Springs. When I first arrived, I was taken back for intake. After a couple of hours of filling out forms and talking to the staff, I was informed that there was no bed all of a sudden and I was turned away (in a time of need I may add). I unfortunately returned the next day, and this time was admitted. Most of the staff are pretty nice, but you arent there to make friends with staff. You are supposed to see your doctor every day, and I saw mine twice during a week long stay. Also, groups are not mandatory. It felt more like a day care than a treatment center. Also, when given my exit survey, I was pulled to the side and told in a round about way that unless I gave them positive reviews that they would toss my survey because people who give negative reviews are crabby by nature and skew results. I challenged this staff member on this, and he walked towards me (in what I took as an aggressive move) and raised his voice. I didnt find that professional. Also on the exit survey it asked what I thought of my therapist, and I had no idea who my therapist even was.

I would recommend this treatment center to my closest friends and enemies to anyone in need from a little guidance to deep mental, trauma, drug or alcohol assistance this is the place to come. You are treated like a person not a number. The techs, nurses, therapists, doctors, kitchen staff and all others treat you with dignity and caring hearts. Don’t get me wrong there are still rules to follow to help you and all others. You will get as much out of it as you put in to it every single phase every day- it’s about you and they assist you in seeing and realizing that.If you are out there alone, scared to take that step, having a panic attack right now, anything keeping you up reach out go to an intake visit at Carrollton springs you will be glad you did. It will be a little scary at first but it could just possibly save your life like it did mine!Thank you everyone at Carrollton Springs! In patient and PHP. I am hopeful for my future!
