My daughter fell and busted her lip and needed stitches, she is 9 and they made her and my husband wait in the lobby 6 hours because they had no room. They told him it would be an hour or two wait, I will never come here again. The wait time is always way too long.

Please do not go here. They make you wait for hours in the lobby. Covid has given an opportunity to hide their inefficieny and pretend to be cautious, while they dont realize that if work slow causing crowded waiting room you just help spread Covid. I dont know how this business survive and people need to speak up 😓😓

ER care was good. Received a bill from the Physician Assistant because apparently he didn’t get paid. I have excellent insurance. Won’t make that hospital mistake again. Will go further out to avoid surprise bills.

I visited this hospital with a heavy heart thinking and expecting the worst. The staff was extremely sweet from registration all the way to final results. I got everything done in a speedy fashion and they were very knowledgeable of everything that speaks to bed side manner. I appreciate the unexpected kindness and have never went online to rate anything before but I just had to rate them as it is well deserved.

Typical ER, traffic and loud and chaos. My experience was mixed between excellent and poor, but after all you deserve the 5 stars.I wanna thank everyone there, from the check-in and registration and all the way to the last nurse/doctor who helped me take my pain and suffering away. And I wanna apologize for the nurse who walked me to the room where I took all my injections and medicines. I’m so sorry for taking my anger out on you. I was so much in pain. I didn’t mean it. I always knew nurses are angels and you are one of them. You were so nice and you tried so much to calm me down. But my pain was killing me. I’m soooooo sorry. My only poor experience was after the doctor analyzed and examined my issue, he left me in the ER with no medicine or anything for my fever and my pain for 3 hours, I’m sure that’s a big mistake and bad decision. We come to ER because we are in a miserable health situation. You can’t leave us outside in pain, waiting for the results. And I wanna thank the nice lady who did the ultra sound, she was so funny and eased my pain. After all thank you soooooooo much.

The entire ER staff was helpful and friendly. There is one confussing issue. I emailed my arrival time and received a confirmation number by e-mail. I was called by a nurse to confirm my arrival time and asked for persoal and medical questions. When I got to the Er, the intake nurse and the checkin nurse had no idea about patients calling in advance or what the confirmation number was. Three different employees had not heard of it. The nurse that called me was very thorough, friendly and encouraging.I am thinking that someone has this position to make these phone calls but the ER staff didnt know that this was a service.I am happy with the treatment I received. Also Im confused about the e-mailing in advance service. If the ER department isnt aware of it, why is a nurse calling each patient for a history and confirming arrival time?Thank you.

Tiny waiting room, took a long time to be seen despite the online check in, but the staff were all amazing and courteous. PA and nurses were professional and personable with my son and I. They were quick (once called back) without making me feel rushed.

The service was quick, friendly, did an incision to drain a pilonidal cyst, everything took about 30 minutes. But the bill wasnt reasonable in my opinion. There were 2 separate bills, and without discounts, it was about $1,395 to the physician and $2,797 to Mercy San Juan. I called the number on the physician bill, and they gave me a 50% payment assistance after asking about our income, which was about $2,400 per month. We paid about $697 to the physician. The hospital bill listed charges of $2,797, without itemizing the charges. We dont have insurance, but it showed an insurance payments/adjustments of -$839.10, and a 25% discount for paying within 30 days. After all of the discounts and adjustments, we are charged $1,468.42, apart from the physician bill. This seems detached from reality, and doesnt feel like a discounted price. When we arrived, we received a blood pressure test from the admitting nurse, and then the doctor listened to us about the symptoms for a few minutes and diagnosed the problem as a pilonidal cyst by doing a visual examination in under a minute. Then, the doctor gave a numbing injection in the area, and made a 1/4 inch incision with a scalpel. Then, the doctor pushed out the pus and cleaned up the area with gauze. Then some gauze was put over the incision, and tape put over it. There werent any tests, scans, x-rays, or blood work done. We were given a bag of gauze and some medical tape, and a prescription for antibiotics, which we bought at a nearby drug store. Overall, the price that we are asked to pay is about $2,166, after discount, for a 30 minutes service. For further payment assistance from the hospital, they ask for the value of all of our financial assets, and our tax returns, and if we have money saved up for college, which we do, I feel like the petition for payment assistance will be denied. This feels like a failure of the health care system. It shouldnt cost that much. A set of scalpels, lidocaine numbing cream, a triple antibiotic pain relieving cream, surgical gloves, alcohol wipes, gauze, and medical tape can be acquired for about $100 on Amazon.Update: I asked the hospital for the itemized bill, and it said: $1,631.00 for the cyst to be drained (apart from the doctors $1,395 bill that I paid with a 50% discount), and $1,166 for level 2 emergency procedure, which isnt clear on what I am being charged for. I feel at a loss for words. This should be a crime.Update 7/9/19. I made the hospital an offer to pay $1,000 last week, but they havent responded to me yet, and now the 30 day prompt payment discount has expired, and I am being charged a total of about $2,655 for the 2 bills for a 30 minute visit. Thats around a hundred dollars per minute. Going in, I was hoping it wouldnt cost more than $200-300. We didnt even use any expensive tests or expensive drugs during the visit. The charges are about $100 per minute from the time we came in until we went out. After that, we did buy a scalpel set and all of the supplies, with top reviews, for under $100.Update 7/13/19. We had another cyst like this one. We did the incision and drainage ourselves. Athough we only got about half of the pus out, avoiding too much pain, it did relieve the pressure and pain. We used NSAIDs and Lidocaine cream to minimize the pain, and rubbing alcohol and antibiotic ointment to minimize risk of infection, also washing before the procedure. It shouldnt cost $2,655, and we saved 2 months of rent money. Also, we watched how its done on YouTube.Update 7/21/19. The incision and drainage that we did ourselves has healed with the help of antibiotic ointment. The bump, redness, pain, and pus drainage have gone away.9/10/19. The hospital has sent us a final notice to pay $1,957.90. It has helped to relieve the horrible and disabling pain of a large cyst, which I have since learned to do myself. However, a reasonable range of price for the 15 minute procedure of a 30 minute visit would be within $500. $1,957.90 hospital bill + $697 doctor bill are being taken from our college savings.
