This office is utterly fantastic. The providers are kind, caring, and professional. Everything is provided clearly in writing on what to expect and how to prepare. I received reminders for appointments 48 hours before my appointments which was helpful. Billing was accurate and consistent with my insurance explanation of benefits. I am happy that I found this provider. I have been searching for good quality well trained providers to help. Thank you so much for your assistance. It is appreciated. I am going to bring my other family members here for sure so they can get sorted out!

I feel the need to warn anybody considering taking a parent to this place for dementia. The total lack of consideration for the patients became evident when it took a total of 6 months to complete two testing appointments and a third to receive the results. It took 3 months after testing until we got results and when we called to see if we could move up the appointment they tried to extort $500 extra dollars from a senior citizen on social security telling us this would be out of pocket and Medicare won’t cover that. The worst part of this is that the result was medication toxicity so if we would of known sooner we could of cut back on the medications months earlier. We’ve seen another Dr for a second opinion and we had all the answers we needed within 3 hrs NOT 6 MONTHS!! To top it all off, the bill isn’t coded correctly so Medicare doesn’t want to pay and the Dr refuses to update the coding and still wants paid. - The excuse that this isn’t the office is getting old in your responses, I can assure you I’ve got the right place.

I have never written a Google review before, but feel compelled to write one to warn others away from this practice. I wish I had read the reviews before I made an appointment for my child. Suffice it to say, my experience with this office was negative. Even my primary care doctors office had a negative experience when trying the make the referral. You can also learn a lot just by reading the responses to negative reviews that the owner has written; they are by turns irrelevant, defensive, arrogant, and even in one case appear to violate HIPAA by revealing details of events that occurred during a treatment session. The review you are now reading has been written under an assumed name, not because it is not legit, but because I do not think that patients of a mental healthcare practice should be forced to reveal their names in order to share their experiences. I hope that Google will change this requirement in the future.

My wife and son showed up 8 minutes late to their appointment. They called many times, but got no answer. They dont answer the phone, even when you are trying to let them know you are there for your appointment. They ignored her even though she had a confirmed appointment and was there and knocking on the door. They were very unprofessional, and even charged her $700 for being late! She was within their grace period of ten minutes. We really wish we had read the other reviews of this place before we made an appointment because they have done these types of things to other customers as well. Im going to the BBB and then to the Indiana attorney general if I have to. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Very professional office with information detailed. Individuals at this office are kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. I should have come here initially to save time and get to the heart of my issues.

My experience with this office was bad and that’s putting it nicely! The person running the front desk was cold, short, and flat out rude. I did not feel comfortable in the office at all which made it that much more difficult to complete the assessments.Furthermore they had difficult scheduling, double booked me twice, and then rude when they called me about it.Would not recommend this office at all, very poor experience.

My father was referred to this office by his neurologist. Dr. Javan Horwitz met us for the initial meeting, but for the next meeting - the first round of testing - we were greeted by his wife, Natalie Horwitz, who introduced herself as “the female Dr. Horwitz.” Unfortunately, a quick Google search shows she holds a MA. The clerk who takes care of billing reiterated that she is a doctor. We asked for her license number. She said we could receive it at the next appointment but that it could not be communicated on the phone or email. My father was also uncomfortable with her, as he felt more at ease with Dr. Javan Horwitz. We emailed and requested the second round of testing be with him. This request was ignored, never even addressed at all. In our follow up appointment, I asked Dr. Javan Horwitz if Natalie Horwitz is a doctor, and if so, why no information was online or provided to prove so. He said he would send me her credentials via email. This was months ago. It never happened. Both of the Horwitz’ claimed she is a doctor able to practice, as did the clerk on the phone (who - by the way - screamed at me and my sister on the phone - not so great service). Every other person I have encountered who claims to be a doctor is easy to Google, easy to find their credentials online. Not Natalie Horwitz. I’m still waiting on this business to follow up on what was promised. If they can prove that their employee who claims to patients that she is a doctor actually is - I’m happy to adjust my review. Until then, I’ve notified the referring neurologist and will next reach out to the BBB. Please - do not go here!

I would give a zero if I could. Bad experience with this office. They don’t answer phones, I’ve called and never got a call back, they seem to only respond to emails, even then, I never got a response about something I asked, just “ it will be forward to the doctor “. Also, they are not equipped to handle a special needs child that has aggressive behaviors. It would have been nice to know that before hand. As I see these aggressive behaviors a lot, and was recommended to their office for more help for my son. I have been to multiple offices with doctors who have seen his fits, and they NEVER handled the situation like this office did. My son is even scared to go back. I was really hoping for some help, but now looking elsewhere.

I took my Daughter to see Dr. Horwitz and it was the best decision I ever made. The staff is so sweet and kind. Dr. Horwitz really worked with my daughter to determine what she needed and I have seen so much improvement in her at home and school. Best Money I ever spent!

Their billing was inaccurate- billed us as if we were out of network when we were not- they admitted it, but never made it right to the toon of hundreds of dollars- as we pursued, more mysterious charges surfaced that offset what they mess up. Services were also of very little help for our FASD son.

We took our 6 year old son to be evaluated. Now after seeing many psychologists, I can be a true skeptic. Weve wasted so much time and money. Weve seen many!We scheduled and append with CNS and he was observed for 6 hrs total by the doctor and his staff. We just had our follow up appointment today to discuss the findings. He was originally diagnosed with ADHD and has been on medication. Dr. Horwitz found that it wasnt ADHD but a delay in part of his brain, and with some cognitive therapy and collaborative therapy he can help him strengthen that part of his brain. He said that he would show us and give us tools to help him at home. He also will work with his school to get our son on an IEP or 504 plan to help guide him along and help him be a confident and successful student. They will work with us and Will for the next few months and will be re-evaluated in a year.Overall I think the process went well... Dr. Horwitz listened to our skepticism and really helped explain everything so that we could fully understand. We will begin the actual process of therapy soon, I will be sure to keep up my review with in the next year to see how it all goes. I am feeling hopeful!

Our experience was confusing at best. I was told my little one would be tested and that would tell them what parts of his brain were not working. They said they would work with him from there helping me to understand my son better. Medical records were sent from our Pediatrician showing the 10 weeks prematurity and the problems the child had at that point and continuing on for 4 years. My son was subjected to trauma in the womb due to his violent biological father beating up the biological mother. The baby was born malnourished as his parents were homeless. There was little medical intervention during the pregnancy and due to these things the childs brain did not fully mature. He is developmentally delayed. He was not able to talk untill he was 3. His behavior is confusing. He runs constantly but does not have ADHD. Another psycologist had to teach him how to play and imagine. She, unfortunatly, is no longer available. When I arrived for the test results I was nicely read the riot act and then told to place the child in a preschool and take parenting classes. Huh? Im thinking. Did I miss something?? I am the mother of 5, I ran a day care that had a waiting list most of the time for 30 years. I was a foster parent for 6 years until I adopted this child. I won many awards in foster care for being top notch. I have read dozens of books on child behavior. Ive never dealt with brain damage. The Dr. said check back in 12 months and we will see how he is doing.

Billing department is a joke and $1,500 per visit is unreal and was not mentioned. The fact of paying a copay is not an issue. They made me pay the bill before they even cut the bill and have refused to provide a receipt for my insurance company and dont answer there phones so I have to drive there to get anyone to respond. Got an email today after paying them a visit that my requested receipt have been mailed only to find out she just sent me another bill. Place is a joke!
