SCAM!!! Do not go here! I went in February. They processed my health insurance information and said the covid test would be covered. Fast forward 8 months and they are sending me $150 bills for the test which they said was covered. Customer service was deplorable at this facility as well. Shame on you for preying on people during a pandemic.

I’m new to the area as of last week and started feeling sick. I was very stressed not knowing where to go and saw this was the nearest urgent care to me. The entire staff was very friendly and caring. My PA Gina was so knowledgeable and understanding of my situation. She even helped me find a 24 pharmacy so I could pick up my medications right away.

This is the WORST possible urgent care. DO NOT GO THERE! I went in for a UTI and they told me it would be an hour wait and I could download the app and wait outside and they would contact me there - which I did. Then I got a call on my phone and went in and they said they had made two attempts to contact me on the app and one by phone. and they had not. I got one call and when that came in, I went straight inside and they said I would have to wait again. I cancelled and left. Very unprofessional office. The app did not notify me and they only had one provider there. I also noticed the receptionist turning people away when they had any cold or flu symptoms. You are out of luck if you actually really need to see a provider for anything other than a sports physical.

I asked for a rapid covid test so I can be present for my cancer patient mother. Online they asked for my insurance info so it is taken care beforehand which I filled out. When I arrived they said they don’t take insurance for covid tests and I have to pay $140 and she said “we don’t say that online” which is unfortunate that I wasted time and gas to get this done before my mothers procedure and they purposefully try to just get your money for a covid test.

Staff is very to the point. Alway answer my many questions they listen to you but they also find resolutions to your questions or fears about covid as well as many other health related issues. Thank you for being straight to the point and upfront with me. Refreshing

They have the slowest system for COVID-19 test results. I have gotten tested at several places, and all of them have come back in 24 hours or less. Most of the time less. It has been over 48 hours and I still haven’t gotten any results back. I call the office, and they are telling me 3-5 days! Seriously?? If I had known that it would have taken that long, I would have gone some where else!

I didn’t expect to have have such a positive experience. The front-desk assistance and team of medical staff are extremely professional and very quick to respond.I could not get in to see my doctor at Scripps and decided I couldn’t wait for Scripps to fix their systems. So I went to Carbon Urgent Care. I don’t go to the doctors often, but I may just change my provider. I recommend Carbon

We were denied care because of our Molina Insurance, even when we offered to pay cash they refused to help. My lady was in severe pain and going here only made it last longer than it should have. If you’re going to deny care based on certain insurances you should state that on your website. Not cool.

This was cheap quick and professional. Glad we went got my daughter on antibiotics on Easter. The online system was easy. I made a 1:30 at 12:50pm

UPDATE 6/10/‘21: After getting nowhere with the billing department, I was directed to the customer service department, where I spoke with Kourtney Mankowski, and she was on it!!! Resolved all issues within the same day. Very impressed, and very thankful…thank you so much, Kourtney, and Roger!This place is such a scam!!!! I went there with an ankle issue, the PA Craig Jancay recommended a boot. When I asked if I had to pay for it, he said my insurance would cover it. He said I had a fracture and needed to follow up with an orthopedic. When I did, 2 days later, the orthopedic said I had no fracture at all, it was just a sprain, and didn’t need the boot at all. 4 weeks later, I got a bill in the mail for the boot. Apparently my insurance only paid $100 and I’m responsible for the other $200. I tried to reach out to talk to them, but they told me to call their billing department, and they’re saying I signed a paper, that if my insurance doesn’t pay, I’m responsible for the cost, so they can’t do anything about it! I just can’t believe this, pure scam!!!! Don’t go there!!!

They are soooo good. They always get me in right away (less than 5 min wait). I see the doctor within minutes of being taken back. Docs spend the time to understand concerns, and they explain how they plan to further diagnose, any labs, etc. They are compassionate, and the communication is at a totally different level than anything I’ve experienced.

I drove from Laguna Beach to Carlsbad on Sunday to pay for 3 tests for my family to travel to Hawaii for My Daughters wedding. When I received no results I was able to reach someone on the phone and they told me to call them after 2 pm if I had not received my results they would help me. When I called at 3 pm the lady said she would guarantee we would have them in the late night and be able to travel and board the plane for hawaii 1:20 pm and 4/20/21 - I got nothing.... They texted me a Travel support line, and I have been on hold for an hr, the voice message counts down saying the are more than 10 callers, please wait, 5 callers, 1 caller... and then you are the next caller in line, then hangs up on me. This is the worst.ever. WORST !

TRAVELERS BEWARE. My boyfriend and I went to this location for a COVID 19 travel clearance test on 4/18. The airline requirement were to be tested no more than 72 hours before our first direct flight. So... thats exactly what we did... even though rapid COVID 19 tests are abundant nowadays and it SHOULDNT be an issue. Not to mention $170 for a COVID 19 test is pretty steep. Fast forward to the next day when our tests were promised to be uploaded... and nothing. It has now been 48 hours since our tests were administered and I cant get ahold of anyone. If you need healthcare and are okay spending top dollar for your provider to NOT deliver OR have the proper staffing to answer your calls when they fall short... I HIGHLY suggest Carbon Health :)

I am so grateful for the amazing care I received from Gina and Jessica. They were so kind and went above and beyond to take care of me. I was so impressed with this office and their staff.

We tried to do the right thing by scheduling an covid test, but this place wont until 7 days after your last potential exposure and then it takes 5 days to get the results. Since it isnt really possible to know for sure and since we are paying for the test we feel they should have let us keep our appointments. It is their business and their choice which patients to serve and how to best serve. But I could just as easily gotten covid while in their lobby, 5 days ago, 7 days ago or 10 days ago. It is impossible to know when or if you are exposed.. it is a complete guess. I was making the best decision for my circumstances and I am disappointed this companys staff wanted to second guess that. The company should never accept your appointment if they are not going to perform the test. Can not recommend this company.

I was a patient of Dr. Wakeman at LaCosta Urgent care here for many years. he was my primary care physician. I was so happy to find this doctor. Unfortunately they are now bought out by a corporation Carbon Health. The new doctor pretty young Im not sure how many years experience, but seems to be fairly decent guy, but the problems begins with customer service. You can no longer call there and expect to get any information. They have a disclaimer that they are now a covid test site with very limited ability to see paitents. Its now part of there pre-recorded message. I was cuttoff while on hold yesterday twice and then three times today trying to call for some referral information. The third time i was talking to someone who didnt have the answer and I was hung up on. They had my records and my number but failed to call me back. Its a shame they are bringing covid patients inside the building and reducing/eliminating the ability to see or even repsonding to regular patients. IMO covid testing should performed in your car in a parking lot to minimilize exposure LIKE EVERYWHERE ELSE. If you dont have the facillities to properly pull this off you shouldnt be doing it. I guess now that all health care woikers are vacinated, disregard the regular patients, the real money seems to be in testing. Anyone thinking having corporations taking over all the small businesses in the United States and owning all our real estate, so they can rent homes to your kids is sadly mistaken. I now must try to find another small doctor office where your not just a number, if theres any actually left in North County San Diego.

I am so disappointed. This was our go-to urgent care before it changed to carbon health. I went there for a simple urgent care appointment and was charged $300 two weeks later with no warning. I was told my insurance was accepted and proceeded with appointment accordingly. It seems fraudulent to be able to charge my card after the fact when YOUR office staff can’t properly check whether or not my insurance is accepted. We will NEVER go here again. I know for a fact that my insurance is accepted and your staff entered it incorrectly but just knowing that you would charge someone without even checking with them solidifies that you don’t deserve our business. So unprofessional.

Doctors are good if you can reach out. Because it is not possible to reachout by phone also if you walkin they are not friendly and helpfull. I definetely not recommend. I used to be a patient but even refill a prescription was a nightmare with them which should be takes 2 mins over the phone

Made a coronavirus appointment, drove all the way there only to be told they cant test me. Waste of time and unprofessional. Would not recommend this place and would like the 5 bucks i wasted on gas to get there back.

Ive been a health care provider for many years. The level of care and professionalism myself and my staff received at MedHero was exceptional. In my book, no need to go anywhere else!

I arrived for my appointment that I scheduled online for a covid antibody test. On the website it lists the test as FREE through the CARES Act. Upon my arrival I checked in and was kindly helped and signed documentation stating that the test I was scheduled for would be at NO cost to me. The receptionist then confirmed my appointment and test type.When I was called back to one of the treatment offices I was then told by another employee that the antibody test was not covered under the CARES Act. But that she would check with the lab to confirm the pricing.A few minutes later the employee came back and told me that the antibody test would cost $119.00 for the test itself, $16 for the blood draw and $145 for the office visit for a grand total of $280.00.I passed on getting test not because of the cost but because of the clear lack of transparency and organization at this facility. I cant trust somebody to properly draw my blood, provide accurate test results and keep my health information safe, if I cant even get a direct and accurate response about the level of testing that I requested. Thats a no brainer!I dont know how I was able to make it into the treatment office without being told there was a cost for the test. And also how the pricing wasnt readily available as its clearly listed as service option online and detailed in the FAQ.Moreover I was repeatedly asked if I wanted this test in a way that could only be perceived as persuasive against the antibody test. ?????Overall the experience was horrible, lacked clarity, transparency and professionalism in not knowing the price of a test that is readily advertised online on the Carbon Health website.I wasted my time and efforts in obtaining some clarity in regards to my bodys immunological response to being potentially exposed to covid. Carbon Health are straight up hustlers who just want to get the $$$$ regardless of anything else.The most disappointing and egregious aspect is the lack of inter-office communication resulting in a situation that couldve and shouldve been prevented before I even arrived onsite for my appointment.Another reason why people distrust the medical industry and why you shouldnt trust Carbon Health with your health and safety as it pertains to covid.

We visit La Costa Urgent Care monthly for an injection for my son. They are always professional and efficient. Sure, you have to wait sometimes because people are ahead of you, but thats a small downside versus being able to stop in anytime without an appointment. I highly recommend them!

Had to pay out of pocket which I was okay with. But 125 dollars for a doctor to tell me theres only one medication for the flu ( one at which Im severely allergic to) and wished me good luck. I cant get over the lack of knowledge, compassion or effort.

Very convenient place to go, theres hardly any wait and the staff is pretty friendly. Dr. Wakeman is also always nice and seems pretty competent. We havent been to our regular physician in a long time since going to this place is a lot easier than scheduling an appointment and waiting a few days.

Best care I have ever received! Could not have expected better care than what was provided!Dont hesitate to see them if you need help.

They wont answer their phones and theyre apprently bringing covid patients in the lobby for testing. Listen to there pre recorded message as of 2-19-21. I went there but their lack of concern for patients health is unforgivable. Had I known they were co-mingiling patients I never would have gone inside. All about the Benjamins now! Excellent Doctors and staff, very helpful and understanding. Am new to the area and was skeptical about finding a new physician but low and behold the first place I went is the last place. I highly recommend Dr. Wakeman and La Costa urgent care to anyone, great place.

I went here for an ear infection. I didnt have an appointment and I only had to wait around 45 min! Not too bad for a walk in. The doctor was very nice and funny, plus there is a VONS right across the parking lot so i was able to pick up my prescription right away!

My family has been going here for many years. Its convenient and as quick as a docs office can be and most of all, Dr. Wakeman and his team are patient... very patient and will stop and listen when its your turn. :-)

Went in there and they were about to close, but they got me in within about 10 minutes. Unfortunately they werent able to except my insurance anymore (did in past) but the out of pocket quote was reasonable. The doctor came and saw me and was awesome, he basically triaged my situation and referred me to a place that did except my insurance, was open and had an x-ray all at no cost.This is my third time visiting there and each time (other than the fact that Ive been in distress) has been very pleasant. I would recommend this place to anybody who needs medical attention.A much better choice then the emergency room for non emergengy treatment and I would recommend this to anyone.Unless you are truly in need of emergency room/hospital equipment/treatment, beats sitting around the ER until they clear the 911 type problems!

For a broken arm: No xray machine but they charged me for just for looking at me. Then they referred me to another urgent care. Rediculous. They should have referred me out when i walked in the door if they jnew they did could not treat me.

Dr. Wakeman is great. He is caring and he takes time to answer all your questions. Tonight he even called me at 8:30 PM cause I have been suffering with bad bronchitus. I love this doctor and the nurse Rebeccah is also very nice. I am so glad I found this place.!

I was misdiagnosed with the flue while I actually had pneumonia (after going to a legit doctor). This delayed my healing process by a week and taking a bunch of unneeded antibiotics (which didnt agree with me) and paying $200. The doctors and staff are pretty friendly and they were good when I broke my hand.

Always received great care from this doctor for the entire family for years. So glad he is in our neighborhood.

Yesterday, I showed up at the Urgent care at 9 am because that is the time they opened. Turns out the doctor doesnt even begin his day until 9:30. By the time I walked in the door there were 5 people in front of me. By 9:50 O asked if I was going to be seen and she reaponds, I havent gotten to your name on the list yet. 10:10 i was able to walk through the door.30 minutes after that, I was misdiagnosed by Dr. Gregory Wakeman for full body pains a throat I could barely breath down, a migrane, and a tight chest I couldnt take a deep breath out of. He didnt swap me for strep but did give me augmentin and pregnazone. 2 hours later I woke up soaked in sweat, severe nausea and a fever of 103.5. I called the urgent care to speak with the doctor, if I was reacting to the medicines, see if I could take an ibuprofen or tylenol but didnt want to take it because I couldnt get any fluid or solids down my throat.She said the doctor was seeing patients and hed call me when hed get a chance probably after his shift. Well I couldnt move a muscle and was then transported to the ER 20 minutes later.Turns out feeling so terrible and being that close to death (felt like ) was the flu. Im now out of commission for 6 days and need to wear a mask anytime I leave my bedroom.Patient care was unreal and the trust of a physican who was far from caring and didnt put a smile on his face the entire time he saw me is unbelieveable.How many people are walking around misdiagnosed with a case of this airborne , highly contagious influenza (flu) ??Good luck but do not go here.

This place was great! I showed up on a Sunday and got right in. The Doc was very attentive and helped me get the guidance I needed for my particular medical condition.
