This place has completely changed my life. I have always had a messed up back and neck but no one ever took the time to take an x ray and really figure out what the problem was. They are quick and that is what I love the most, I come in, they fix my issues and Im out. I truly love this place and the people who work there. Being a recovering Motocross Racer, Wakeboader, Defensive Lineman, Furniture Mover, and Construction Worker my spine knows a few things about impact, and less about alignment.If you are in Carlsbad, there is no better place that I could suggest you go, or better guy to see than Derek Rupp of West Coast Chiropractic Center.Things you should know going in, Derek and his team ask a lot of questions and are very thorough before they ever get to adjustments.It turns out my ribs are out of place, left shoulder is low, right hip is high... hear I thought I had a back problem, turns out I am a wreck!It was impressive to get this much information, and I appreciated understanding more about my physiology and the root of my problem(s).The adjustments themselves are a snap(sorry, Dad jokes)!The after care and follow up on consecutive visits is all part of the package with this group and you will see many other reviewers expressing their joy and gratitude for the level of care they received from Derek and his team.So, if you are in Carlsbad and your back is in a pinch, get it straightened out at West Coast Chiropractic Center!Ps. I did see a negative review on another site, and was a little shocked. Looking into it, the individual has a penchant for griefing establishments! Dr. Rupp and his entire team are some of the best chiropractors you will ever find! I’ve been to several different chiropractors in different states over the years and they are something special here. The entire staff is attentive, flexible, personable, welcoming, and most importantly- so very good at what they do. Excellent in every sense of the word! My neck was in severe shape when I first showed up and in just six months they were able to improve my neck position/degree and I have felt my body feel so much better overall because of it! Im disappointed in this Chiropractic Center. Ive been to many different Chiropractors over the years, recently moved to this area and was looking for a new chiropractor in the area. The first visit w/ Dr. Rupp is fairly thorough and includes an X-ray. After that, it feels like a back cracking drive-thru, the McDonalds of chiropractic services. No thorough exam really happens after that, its in-and-out within 2 minutes. There are much more thorough chiropractic doctors out there that do more therapy on the back or problem areas. Try somewhere else folks, youll get much more for you money. If youre looking to be in and out of your chiropractor in under 2 minutes, then choose this place.

I have been going to Dr. Rupp and his team for about 8 months now and have had significant improvement in my alignment and overall well-being. I have a congenital issue with my hips and have sustained several injuries to my neck over many years, and I didnt realize how bad everything was until I saw the x-rays. It explained a lot, especially how I threw my back out last November from just standing up from a seated position. My experience having treatments at West Coast has been top-notch and I would highly recommend Dr. Rupp to anyone seeking chiropractic care. I am in a much better place physically and am very happy to have this care available to me.

I initially visited Dr Rupp after I herniated a disk in my neck. I wanted to exhaust all possibilities before having surgery so I decided to try chiropractic care. West Coast Chiropractic is the BEST! My teenage daughter started receiving adjustment by Dr. Rupp a little over a year ago because of painful back and neck pain. He completely explained the treatment plan and when she should see results. Everything he explained was right on. After a few treatments her pain started fading away. A great chiropractic facility. Dr. Rupp and his team take you in and treat you as family. Came in with excruciating back pain from a pinched nerve. Dr. Rupp took some x-rays and fixed me up I was feeling so much better the very next day. He developed a treatment plan and I have been a weekly visitor for the last three years. Dr. Rupp and his team are amazing! They don’t just treat you like a number. They take the time to get to know you. I went in hoping for a magic one time fix for my back pain. Of course that’s not how it works but over the course of months my pain decreased. I would have continued to go but I had to move and I now miss them very much!

I began care under Dr Perez about a few months ago due to a back pain. The pain was affecting my everyday life and nothing was helping. Immediately after my first visit to West Coast Chiro, I felt confident that I would get results and feel better.The staff was very professional, helpful and caring and was very accommodating to my schedule. Dr. Perez took the time to listen and really address my biggest concerns. After my first visit I started to feel better and improving a little more each day. I have going to West Coast Chiropractic for I believe 5 years now. Before visiting Dr Rupp and his staff I lived with chronic back/neck pain that lead to migraines. 6 months ago I hobbled into Dr. Rupps office 9 months pregnant and in a lot of pain, able to walk only by limping. Since he was unable to take x-rays right away because of the pregnancy, he did what he could for me at the time and it did help relieve some of the pain. As soon as I had my son, I went in for x-rays and he was able to figure out exactly what was really going on. I love that he walked me through it, showing me exactly what was going on and put me on a plan for recovery. I feel back to my usual self now and have him to thank!! I was very skeptical of chiropractors prior to my first visit at the office, but due to headaches and migraines that became more and more frequent, I decided to give it a try and Im very glad I did. I found West Coast Chiropractic Center on Yelp and felt very comfortable upon entering, even without an appointment. On the first visit, x-rays showed that not only was my neck in trouble, but my lower back as well. I did not realize that the pain in my lower back was not normal on-my-feet-all-day pain. Dr. Rupp is wonderful at educating his patients and while I also work at a healthcare facility, I believe this is one of the most important qualities to have. Not only have my migraines and other pains lessened with regular adjustment, but I feel great all around. He is always so pleasant every visit and takes time to get to know his patients as well. Mary, the office manager is really great too. I had come in one day mid-panic attack and she took the time to calm me down and talk with me before I got back on the road that day. I am very thankful to have found such a wonderful place.

I accepted pain as part of my normal life. I knew I had neck issues, but my breaking point was when I woke up in the morning unable to turn my head from the pain. I went to see Dr. Rupp and on my first visit I found out I have a -18 curvature in my neck. No wonder everything in my body was so out of whack! I was having daily headaches and all kinds of pain in my neck, shoulders, back, and tingling/numbness in my legs and arms. Mary was so helpful and gave me some exercises to help my treatment. After just two weeks of adjustments (3x per week) all of my pain was gone... and still gone! Ive been a practice member for several yrs. I cannot express how overwhelmingly satisfied I am with Dr Rupp. I started with neck and back pain that no longer exists. Hes helped me through plantar fasciitis. I no longer feel any pain in my foot. I was also in a car accident and he took time out of his personal life to see me. Dr. Rupp has been my Chiropractor for several years now. Due to finances, I disappeared off the face of the earth until I could not stand it any more. After just 3 visits, I was pain free and regained freedom of movement of my neck, no pain around my occipital ridge (base of skull) and regained freedom of movement in my hip. Dr. Rupp is FANTASTIC! I use to have gnarly headaches on a daily basis and had no idea why and was always really tight in my shoulders. Dr. Rupp is a miracle worker! Ive dealt with chronic lower back pain and I never thought Id get better. I was completely frustrated, then I found Dr. Rupp, he gave me my life back. The fact that I can sleep again and have energy to make it through the day is everything to me. Im a nicer person to be around since Im not in constant pain. He clearly explained that I had subluxations in my spine and that they were pinching my nerves and that it was his job to remove them so that I could get back to normal life. I hurt my back and went to urgent care. There was a 90 minute wait to be seen and probally would have given me pain killers and told to rest. I decided to try a chiropractor for the first time. Dr Rupp saw me right away and took x-rays. He adjusted me and instantly I felt better. No pain killers were needed and within 2 weeks I was back to normal. Thank you

Dr. Rupp has been amazing! I was having lots of issues where parts of my body were numb. After multiple doctors, MRIs, CT scans, blood work and x-rays no one seemed to know what the issue was. Im so thankful I found Dr. Rupp! I called his office and they got me in that same day for x-rays. He took his time to talk to me about my issues and thoroughly explained to me my x-rays. He even had me bring in my MRI images and went out of my way to explain to me things my neurologist hurried through. After two adjustments I had already started to see a difference and now I have no symptoms at all. Dr.Rupp and everyone who works in his office are very friendly and welcoming. And if you have Tricare (since chiropractic work is not covered) they offer a wonderful military discount. I really cannot say enough good things about West Coast Chiropractic Center!

I decided to go to a chiropractor after my Neurologist couldn’t find the reason I had a constant migraine. For a month straight I had a migraine that never went away. I had trouble working because of the vision issues it was causing along with the bouts of nausea. I was on prescription strength pain pills along with a preventative pill that didn’t make me feel very well. The pills were not working, so I got desperate for another solution. I recalled that several years prior I had got a few adjustments and after a few weeks I noticed my headaches significantly decreased. I figured it was worth trying again and after looking online I found West Coast Chiropractic. I decided on them for the location and the wonderful comments from his clients. Best decision ever! I then met with Dr. Rupp to review my X-ray and he explained the reason I am having migraines. As of today, I am only halfway through my treatment plan and pretty much migraine free! I came to Dr. Rupp with a TON of neck pain, come to find out I had/have a -2 curvature in my neck. If you know what this means, you know its bad! Dr. Rupp and his team helped me SO MUCH and were always so pleasant every time I came in for an adjustment..which was a a lot! 3 times a week for a month, then 2 times a week for a couple months etc. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish my treatment at West Coast Chiro with Dr. Rupp because I am having some family issues.. BUT for anyone that lives in the area and is looking for a Chiropractor, you will absolutely NOT be disappointed when you visit the office of West Coast Chiropractic! My 17 month old son was suffering from chronic ear infections, pneumonia, etc. He was constantly on antibiotics. I started taking him to Dr. Rupp in April, and he has been antibiotic free since! I highly recommend Dr. Rupp!

I have been having severe pain in my neck and shoulder with numbing down my right arm for several months now. I went to my Dr. and she suggested I see a Chiropractor. I had never been before and frankly was very skeptical. On my first visit we took x-rays and discovered my neck was completely out of alignment with a –13 degree subluxation (vs. a noraml 43 degree). Dr. Rupp recommended regular adjustments over the course of the next few months would not only releive the pain but correct my neck back to where it should be. I have only been to three treatments thus far and feel SOOO much better. I’m a true believer now and can’t wait to be 100%. I have no doubt Dr. Rupp will get me there in no time. I can’t thank him enough.

My son, Jameson, suffered from constipation and his neck was mostly turned to the right. We tried to help him with his constipation with massage, “The Windi”, and three different probiotics. The probiotics only made things worse by causing my little son to have diarrhea. I tried Cranial Sacral Therapy as well; this didnt help either.When my son was three months old, I decided to try chiropractic. After one week of getting adjusted, Jameson was having a bowel movement every two to three days, instead of every seven to nineteen days! I recently moved to the area and was looking for a replacement for our former chiropractor. My son has been seeing a chiro since 12 months when he started to get seasonal allergies/asthma. Went to West Coast after having a lot of pain in my back. A friend recommended Dr. Rupp. After my initial visit and some X-rays, Dr. Rupp informed me that I had a stage 3 bone spur. Ive been to a few Chiropractors and they were not nearly as thorough as Dr. Rupp. He did a complete work up on me and came up with a plan of adjustments that left me feeling like a new person. I now only need to go only a few times a month for maintenance. Dr. Rupp and his team are very professional and always welcoming, Im glad I found them.

I should have tried West Coast Chiro first, but I was too skeptical. After a $9000 surgery that didnt solve my problem at all, I decided to try them out. It was bittersweet because Dr. Rupp actually addressed the issues resulting in substantially less pain, but regretful that I didnt try him first. Upon arrival at West Coast I could immediately tell that I was in a professional environment. The professional and creative artwork-testimonials from locals as well as professional athletes speaks for itself. Dr. Rupp is AWESOME! I started seeing him in November of 2011 due to extreme back and neck pain. I had heard bad things about chiropractors in the past, and therefore attempted to find solutions by other means. By the time I saw Dr. Rupp, I was barely able to function. I couldnt sleep, had constant headaches, and was unable to find anything that would alleviate the pain in my neck and back. Luckily for me, Dr. Rupp knew exactly what I needed. Even after my first adjustment, I could tell that things were going to be better as relief swept over me after it was over. For the first time in years, I felt good. Though that particular instance was unfortunately temporary, I can say that after I completed the regimen that Dr Rupp suggested, I saw dramatic improvements to the curvature of my spine, and I felt better than ever. I still see him occasionally for maintenance and to prevent any other issues, and am so grateful for all he has done for me. Thank You Dr. Rupp!!!

I’ve been seeing Derek Rupp in seems like forever. I was very hesitant at first about chiropractic practice. But I found myself suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome and surgery for both hands was just a little too scary not to mention costly. The pain was horrible and wrist braces were too bulky. Brushing teeth was a chore let alone drive a manual transmission. My husband has been using chiropractors and he urged me to try chiropractic first. Well within three weeks of my treatment plan, I was able to put my weight on my wrists. That was back when Dr. Rupp had his office in Solana Beach and I’ve been having regular chiropractic visits with him ever since. Living in Oceanside, I was very glad when he moved his practice to his current location in Carlsbad. In addition to CTS, he and I have been thru two minor car accidents and tennis elbow.I see Derek whenever I get a chance, which is about 2-3 times a month for “maintenance”. I have a desk job and on the computer all day and play tennis on weekends. So I see Derek regularly for shoulder, elbows and wrist adjustments and to make sure I maintain good posture through regular neck and back adjustments. Derek is a great source of information on how to achieve and maintain good health through natural means. He is very personable and seems to truly enjoy what he does. So I’d like to give a shout-out to the very friendly and professional Dr Rupp and the rest of the staff at West Coast Chiropractic Center.

I was in horrible pain when I came to Dr. Rupp, I was taking heavy pain meds and they were not working anymore. A very close friend told me about him because she too suffered. I have 3 collapsed vertebrae and for several years now I have lived in pain to some degree or another. Recently, it seems that every year my pain escalates from a scale 0 - 10, ten being the highest and mine a 15....which meant I needed urgent relief. Whithin a few days of getting treatment my pain came down to 4. After almost 2 months now it is almost gone. Dr. Rupp is not the first Chiropractic doctor I see and because of this I can compare his care with that of others and tell you this: Dr. Rupp is a caring doctor, he is very good at what he does, he is not fooling when he says Ill make you BETTER, better to Dr. Rupp means better than you were even before you were in pain because he can also cleanse your body from toxic drugs we put in our bodies in the hope of curing ourselves. Dr. Rupp has been my Chiropractor for 13 years. I have been getting adjusted since the day I was born. Dr. Rupp has helped me with allergies, headaches, and earaches. He has kept me healthy and active to participate in sports such as softball, cheer and soccer. While at cheer practice I injured my wrist, with a little rest from cheer and being adjusted by Dr. Rupp for one week my wrist healed. Thank you Dr. Rupp for great health care!!

I been to other chiropractor before but nothing like Dr. Rupp office. My whole family sees Dr. Rupp his great!

Can I just say life saver, seriously I suffer from low back pain and this guy is amazing I recommend him to all of my friends and couldnt be happier everyone is so amazing and they have been like family to us.
