It was a very positive experience. Everyone is very nice and Dr Riley is caring and knowledgeable. I liked her a lot!!

Doctors and NPs are nice and knowledgeable, hence the 2 star rating. The rest of the experience leaves much to be desired. I have never been seen on time for any appointment here. Today was no different. My appointment was at 1:00 I arrived at 1:02 and after 1:42 I still had not been called back. Other people that came in after me had been called back. After 40 min of waiting I asked when I would be seen and the front desk employee could not answer it. She said “the 2 rooms are really busy today and what would I like to do? Reschedule?” She is just not friendly or empathetic, she brushed me off and couldn’t careless that 40 min of my time, on my lunch break was wasted and for nothing. I never even got seen because they couldn’t tell me how much longer my wait would be. It’s crazy you can run a dermatologist office like this. I expect a 40 min wait at a community clinic, not a dermatologist.

I recently went to West Dermatology for the first time to get established working with a dermatologist. Dr. Riley was absolutely amazing! She answered all of my questions and recommended treatments for the issues I came in with. Not only was Dr. Riley amazing, but the staff was really friendly and helpful too. I had such a positive experience that I referred my mother to see her as well. If you’re looking for a great Dermatologist and a friendly environment then West Dermatology is perfect for you!

I went to see Dr Riley for what I thought were some clogged pores. She removed a couple, but then said she didn’t like the look of one. She took a biopsy and it turned out it was a Basel Cell. Thankfully she found it and I’ve since had MOHS surgery to remove it. So grateful that Dr Riley took care of me.

West Coast Dermatology was very professional. The reception staff was friendly and also spent time to answer my questions and tell me about the products available for skincare.Dr. Hooper did my botox. It was my first time there. She recommended 20 less units then my previous Doctor and the results appear to be just as good. The best part she left no bruising. Thats a first for me. I recommend West Coast Dermatology.

Everyone at the office was so efficient and friendly, and Dr. Riley was absolutely wonderful. She was very thorough and made me feel super comfortable. I will continue to refer patients to her, and have already told my friends and colleagues about the practice.

Great experience, Bonnie is the best. Staff was nice. Everything was positive. It’s hard to think of anything negative. If I had to give one negative I guess it would be that the front office comes off as too officious (not bad, just doesn’t feel warm or relaxed).

I am almost 70 years old and a Vietnam vet. I have seen many doctors. I found my visit with dr. Riley on Tuesday, 4-20-21 to be one of my worst doctor visits I have ever had. She made it plain she did not want to see me,, with how poorly and disrespectful treatment I was given. This doctor did not want to explain my medical problems to me or give me the time of day. Maybe she does not like old people (Vietnam vet). Anyway.all the money my insurance is going to give her, she did not earn. Old folks stay clear of this place. Total waste of time.I left this doctors visit, worse then when I went. I have No medical plan. I called the clinic today trying to get hard copy of my prescription. No luck all I got was excuses. It was my first visit at this dermatology office and Dr. Bonnie was quick to get to the point of taking care of my concerns. I had been to 2 dermatologists before and none of them helped me the way Dr. Bonnie did.

I filled out their online form for an appointment and had no response. Obviously not customer focused and not a good place to trust with your health care.

Love these gals. Efficient. Caring. Friendly. I have no complaints. I just wish the skin cancers would stop visiting. The doctors work hard to keep me cancer spot free 👍🏻

Dr Riley is fantastic and through her expertise has taken 15 years off this 75 year old face with the latest and long lasting fillers. Not my first rodeo either! This is my 4th experience with fillers and botox and clearly the best results yet. Not inexpensive but fair pricing especially compared to other dermatology practices. Ill be back!

You can just tell Dr. Riley truly cares about her patients. Im new to Carlsbad and finding trusted doctors across the board is no easy feat - for once, I thankfully hit the mark in my first attempt with West Dermatology and Dr. Riley! The whole office was incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel so comfortable from the start. Bedside manner was 10/10 - for this visit, I came for a routine skin check, but Dr. Riley was extremely patient and clear in addressing my broader list of concerns.Also, the office seemed to be strictly adhering to COVID protocols (everyone was wearing a mask, hand sanitizer was readily available, etc.). Ladies here were kinda rude and they over charged my insurance for a procedure that didn’t even happen.
