This is a dentist office you can call home. The receptionists are very sweet and kind and the woman, her name slips my mind right now, was so thoughtful and helpful. They helped me figure out how I could pay my bill. Dr Steve is delightful always concerned about minimizing any discomfort or pain, and does a good job saving my teeth. Flenniken Family Dentistry is without the best Dentist practice that I have patronized in the Harrisburg area. It is a one stop shop with a full range of dental services. They saw me within two days when other dentists were insisting that the earliest appointment was three months out. Their dentists were quick, skilled, and professional, while at the same time being personable and informative. They explained in detail the condition of my teeth after my first diagnostic visit, providing cleaning and replacing problematic fillings that very same day. They identified problems requiring a periodontist, and provided an appointment within one week with their staff periodontist, rather than leaving me to try and find one on my own.The teeth cleaning was quick, thorough, by a highly skilled specialist.

I visited Flenniken Family Dentistry, as I was in need of two fillings and have very bad dental anxiety. My old dentist just wasn’t very helpful with this, so I thought I’d give them a try here. From the very moment I went in, everyone was so kind. The hygienist was very sweet and gentle with me. The dentis, Dr. Steve, had a wonderful and calm demeanor that put me at ease right away. I loved the way he explained to me exactly the process I’d be going through for the fillings. I’d definitely recommend this office to anyone and especially those with dental anxiety!!

I have a huge fear of dentists! I felt more comfortable with Dr. Steve than I ever have with anyone else! I didnt see any staff that didnt have a smile on their faces. Dr. Olivetti is great and does a terrific job when I come in. Emma (I believe is her name) has cleaned my teeth the last two times and she is absolutely fantastic, always is extremely nice and really knowledgeable about her profession. I also wanted mention Dr. Capiotis and the dental hygienist helping him today, those two were fantastic and made the whole time fast and painless. Would definitely recommend!

This was the first time i actually enjoyed going to the dentist! I was in severe pain due to a tooth that needed to get a root canal done. I called early morning and they accepted me without no appointment, got checked and got meds to feel better. They told me they would put me on the asap list, little did i know they were already calling me in the afternoon for my procedure! So efficient, i would 100% recommend this dentist! All staff were friendly and nice, especially the doctors that did the root canal on me! I would be coming back for everything that needs to get done without thinking about it twice!

Came from the VA for a community care. Scared me with anesthesia questions while setting up appointment. Tried to charge me 55 bucks for special x-rays, tried to sell me a expensive electric toothbrush. Then tried to tell me i need a deep clean or root planing for a later appointment instead of just cleaning my teeth like my appointment was for, explaining that if i got my teeth cleaned today, the VA wont approve the deep clean. If i needed the deep clean then the VA will approve it and if i need it so badly why didnt i feel an ounce of genuine care for my teeth and worry that my hesitancy could cause problems.As far as Im concerned these people tried to get money out of me by selling me things outside of insurance approved procedures and then got quiet and passive aggressive after i told them no. Not another word was said to me after i told the lady to please just do the cleaning like was scheduled.Edit: I am sure you do value everybodys opinion, unfortunately its not an opinion, its what your doctor did. O and she hurt my gum line and my canines, it still hurts today. I reported you to the VA and cancelled my coming to your office. Thanks for not apologizing for the terrible experience I had with your office.

Ive been a client since 2003. Always enjoyed the friendliness of the receptionist, insurance staff, hygienist, and dentist. The hygienist are all very professional and take great care during cleaning. The recommendation and care during my invisalign treatment is spot on. They have gone the extra mile for their clients.

These are the BEST dentists ever! I drove four (4) hours to visit Dr. Neil and Dr. Suzan--from Washington, DC to Carlisle, PA because I trust their skill, patience, and tremendous bedside manner! While my procedure could not be completed (a very angry tooth, issues found once started); Dr. Neil fixed a chip tooth and Dr. Suzan cleaned my teeth to a near mirror finish. Ill gladly make the trip again. I completely trust Drs. Neil and Suzan to take care of my dental health. Plus, Joey and Dr. Suzan recommended the best restaurant for dinner; it was scrumptious. Will visit the restaurant again when I come for my next dental appointment. Exemplary dentistry and excellent culinary recommendations--who could ask for more!! THANKS!

I first started going here because they offer nitrous oxide...after horrible childhood experiences with my family dentist, I developed a crippling fear of going to the dentist for 30+ years!Trust me... give this office a try if youre looking for a dentist - especially if youre looking for gentle dentistry. Everybody here is warm and friendly. The hygienists and dentists are thorough but gentle - my teeth and gums have never been in better shape! I dont even request nitrous any more! (not even for crowns and fillings) And its such a relief not dreading going to the dentist 😀

They charged 2000$ for detures that did not fit . made another set that did not fit. tried to charge me 700$ for third set because of there poor craftsman job. I would not pay for there poor work. now I have dentures that dont fit. Reported them to United Concordia.

The office staff is very professional, knowledgeable and genuinely care about their patients. They were able to accommodate me on the same day to address my toothache. Dr. Susan Rismani was so caring, gentle and took the time to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Neil Flenniken addressed all my questions and concerns before the procedure. His training and knowledge are very impressive, but it was his caring and calming manner and easy to understand explanation of the procedure eased my anxiety. I had my first appointment here a few days ago and I am SO pleased I chose Flenniken. The whole visit was so much better than any previous dentist I’ve had - best dental experience ever. The hygienist was so nice and told me more about dental health than any dentist I ever had before, AND when we talked about various dental services she was able to tell me exactly how much things cost and have the front desk check with my insurance to tell me exactly what’s covered and what’s not, and the pros and cons to various kinds of dental work. Then Dr. Olivetti appeared and was so friendly and funny and very clear about services and recommendations. I’ve recommended this place to two people since my visit. Great dentist!

Chipped a tooth on Sunday afternoon. I called for an appointment Monday morning. They asked if Tuesday 9am worked? I set the appointment. I walked in right at 9am. I signed in and sat down. They called my name 10 seconds later. I was walking out the door at 9:23 tooth fixed. All the way around a great experience.

As a new employee and one that was in need of a 6 month check up to brighten. my smile I must say it was a fantastic experience. The new patient paperwork was easy to do and not a lot of forms to sign. My hygienist was great and gentle. She was informative and made me feel at ease. Thanks for a great visit.

Flenniken Family Dentistry was the best dentistry I’ve ever been to. The staff and doctors here are the nicest and friendliest people I’ve ever met. Doctor Neil Flenniken gave me Invisalign and it helped shape my teeth so much. Everything about this dentistry is top of the line and incredible.

After trying to find a new dentist after we moved this office was great. Two other offices didnt return phone calls. Ironically a flyer appeared in the mail. I called right away and had an appointment the next week. Cant say enough about the hygienist and the dentist who saw me .

Retired military so were always moving around but these guys get it ... cracked a tooth and had an emergency Crown put on literally the next day just so Thanksgiving wouldnt be ruined ... they get it

By far the best experience Ive ever had at the dentist. I needed work done to my front teeth and after two fillings, I left smiling and feeling great and the new numbing procedure allowed me to make it to work an hour later without any numb lips/face. I definitely recommend Dr. Turk and Rachael they have made every visit delightful!

Waiting on insurance preapproval before moving into the treatment plan. Overall very satisfied with the visit. (It is hard to get five stars from me on a first visit, so please dont hold that against them).

My former dental practice discontinued using my dental insurance. I was referred to Flenniken Family Dentistry by my wife. I also knew another apprehensive family member was being seen by this practice and had nothing negative to say.Calling for my initial appointment trying to stay close to my 6 month window, I was given an appointment very close to the day I called. I was impressed.When Rachel was taking me back to the available room for my checkup, we walked past another office where a man was sitting there doing paper work singing to the song on the radio. I have to say I liked that. The radio and singing put me at more ease and showed a nice ambience. Plus, it took me back to the days the song was popular.The checkup was very thorough. They appeared to have all the up to date equipment. My teeth feel great afterwards. The receptionist ( sorry I forget your name ), Rachel and Dr. Susan Flenniken were all excellent at their profession.

Ive been with this practice for 10-15 years. Have seen a lot of hygienists and most all of the doctors in this practice. Have settled in nicely with Dr. Olivetti. Hes super thoughtful and attentive. The hygienist I saw yesterday was Michelle. She was terrific! Believe it or not, Im looking forward to my next visit with her!

My filling fell out and I was leaving for a trip in a couple days so I called Flenniken Dentist office and they got me in right away. I also have a bad case of dry mouth due to my medication I take. My current dentist went out of business, while I had an appointment to get a lower left molar repaired. I know better, but I let the thing rot out of my head before I finally went in search of a new dentist. I found Dr. Turk at Flenniken family dentist, and got an appointment pretty quickly. I needed a root canal because of my stupidity and procrastination.I have had root canals before, so I knew what to expect. In this case Dr. Turk used a topical numbing agent before he stuck me with needles, so I never even felt the needle sticks. I could have literally fallen asleep in the chair while he drilled, prodded, reamed, and chiseled away. I now have a temporary crown sealing up the tooth, and am waiting to have a crown, bridge or an implant depending on what I decide to do. None of this is cheap, but seems that it is pretty much going rates, as I have shopped around.Dr. Turk and his assistant were light hearted, upbeat, have great senses of humor, and were very pleasant while he was elbow deep in my mouth. The conversation was purposefully provocative, knowing that I could not respond. I made sure to make a mental list so I could catch up once my mouth was given back to me. This was the most painless root canal Ive ever had.

Not only am I a patient at FFD but I was a Doctor there for about 14 years. I, therefore, have some expertise in addition to my impressions. The service is great, the staff is competent and friendly, all the doctors are excellent and try their best to make treatment individual and meaningful in the long term. The practice is unique in that each doctor has a couple of specialty areas they have increased their knowledge beyond the ordinary dentist. It might be root canals, implants, orthodontics, etc. Many hours of continued education and practical experience have honed these advanced skills. The availability of nitrous oxide or advanced sedation for anxiety is another great asset which is not available in many offices. Kindness and consideration are important to all. I enjoyed my time practicing with the Flenniken’s and really miss working with my patients.

I took our 5 year old here today for a cleaning. The hygeniest was fine enough. Gentle and friendly. The dentist, Dr. Turk, left much to be desired. He did not look at me, say hello, or otherwise acknowledge my existence. He didnt even introduce himself to my daughter. He spent about 30 seconds with my daughter and didnt look at her file at all (as he didnt even know how old she was or if she had lost any teeth yet). He made no effort to explain to her what he was doing. To me, this is very important when treating a young child. To top it off he didnt even say goodbye, thank you for your business, or anything. He just walked out of the exam room. We wont be coming back.

Been going here I think since Ive had teeth. Love this place! And..if youve ever have suffered with jaw pain, TMJ or headaches like I did for 30 years...this is the place for you! Invisiline was a life saver for me! Its not about cosmetics..its about quality of life. No more popping...no more pain...all because my teeth are now in the right position to let me open and close my teeth in the right position! Thank you Dr. Neil! I wish I had this 30 years ago! What a difference this has made.

My 4 year old had a great experience yesterday. The hygienists are so friendly and do a great job explaining what will be happening so she was able to have a great time. She did tell me however that the bubble gun flavored fluoride was disgusting...so Id suggest picking a different flavor.

I have had great care by Dr. Neil and the staff -- had alot of problems with my teeth that they have been working with me on to resolve over the past few years. Yesterday I had my cleaning -- which was thorough and quick -- and walked away with a clean report: no cavities! That is a huge accomplishment for me and I know it is a result of their care and attention to my issues.

I havent been to a dentist since forever, so I didnt know just what to expect. I was in need of a set of dentures. Everyone was polite and personable. After being shown to a room and being seated, I was seen by Dr. Olivetti almost immediately. He explained what he needed to do, and answered any questions I had. The office staff is unprofessional and do not confirm dental benefits before appointments. They instead get the patient in the chair and perform every service/x-ray they can and later you will receive a $200 bill when all you came in for was a simple cleaning and check-up.Edit to add: Thank you for your response. I was thrown off because I had always been extended this courtesy with past dental providers. I respectfully change my review from unprofessional to—not courteous.

I had not been to the dentist in over 20 years, so needless to say I needed it. Like many people, I suffered from an irrational fear of the dentist. My work made a dental visit a requirement for the wellness program, which was just the catalyst I needed to finally go.From the first phone call for the appointment, I could tell this was going to be a different experience from what I remembered from past dentists. The staff is very friendly and understanding, and seems to truly care about the patient. The billing people are VERY knowledgeable about insurance, co-pays, etc. They knew my coverage and what I needed to pay before I even arrived for my first appointment.As for the dental work, everyone Ive dealt with has been nice, understanding, and extremely professional. All the work theyve done has been top-notch. My old fears have proven unjustified, at least in the case of Flenniken. I would absolutely recommend them if you are searching for a new provider.

Flenniken Family Dentistry has been my husbands dental office for many years, and he has had three dental implants completed there. So, when I decided to get a dental implant (because I absolutely abhor the idea of a bridge), my husband couldnt praise Dr. Neil Flenniken highly enough! I had the implant surgery done a few days before Christmas, and so far, everything has gone very smoothly. Dr. Neil and his assistants have been extremely helpful. Ive been going to Flenniken Family Dentistry since they were located across from the old Carlisle Hospital. At least twenty years I would think. The current location is easy to access, bright and welcoming. Theyre very professional, run on time, have wonderful facilities and excellent employees.
