It was 1994 my son was coming early. He kept turning sideways. Dr. Bishop managed to turn him from the outside of my stomach. Unfortunately he turned again as I went into labor. While the Dr was examining me my son grab his finger. Dr said I was having a politician. Lol! He did an emergency C-section. Had it not been for the Dr my son may have not made it. Awesome Dr!

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Bishop and his nurse. From the moment I’m called in, I am greeted with a smile, treated with love and genuine concern for your well-being. Dr. Bishop is a very caring doctor. He’s not just one of those “take this pill and walk it off” doctors… he truly does care about his patients and give you what he knows will help you treat your condition. I am grateful for him and his nurse. They made this Puerto Rican woman feel like family.❤️

I like feeling like family instead of just a patient dr. Bishops nurse is by far the best hands down....they can switch me doctors but not nurses.....no seriously though I like Dr bishops honesty and concern. His nurse and him are amazing the others I seen there are good but def recommend this team

Such a great and friendly place. The receptionist are so friendly and great with helping you get the right appointment that works best with your schedule and they always answer all my questions and concerns. Brittany and Mary are so great, they always make me look forward to my visit. I would recommend Pam , she is fabulous. Super friendly, has lots of patience and helps me understand every aspect of my pregnancy. She always answers my millions of question. Such a great place, for sure recommend!

Extremely grateful for the experience Ive had. From the Nurses at the front desk, to the nurse who took me back for a brief check up, such a great place and atmosphere. Definitely would recommend! Dr Barenya is amazing! Thank you for such a great experience!

Dr. Bishop is hands down the best! In wouldn’t let anyone she deliver my babies. He delivered all 4 of mine via cesarean section and he did a phenomenal job. He is very compassionate, caring and professional. I highly recommend heartland women’s. The nurses have all been very kind and attentive to patient needs and I always felt that I received excellent care!

Dr. Bishop is absolutely amazing!!!! I couldn’t recommend a more compassionate and caring doctor. He goes above and beyond for his patients.

Dr Bishop is the best! He’s so down to earth, and you can tell he honestly cares. Every appointment with him, restores my faith in the healthcare system. If only every doctor cared the way he did. He takes concerns seriously, and does everything he can to get answers for you.

Dr.Bishop actually takes the time to talk to you. The staff is very friendly as well!! I know that I will be taken care of, when I need it!!!

The staff here knows what theyre doing and the nurses are kind and friendly but also knowledgeable. The doctors are great, too. Dr. Bishop, in particular, is an amazing doctor. Not just for prenatal visits and the delivery itself, he made me feel really cared for and heard postpartum, which can be a lonely time. He is a wise and kind doctor.

There has been a no visitor policy since November. I understand that and came alone to my last visit. When scheduling the next appointment, I asked the woman at the front desk what would happen at my next appointment. She said it would be the 4D ultrasound in theater, but that “doesn’t matter because you can’t bring anyone with you anyway.” I am a person. I will be there. Even if visitors aren’t allowed, it matters to me. I went back to the car after scheduling the appointment and had a panic attack: face swollen, couldn’t catch my breath, sweating, and tears everywhere. The Heartland Women’s Healthcare website says, at least today, that if a support person is medically necessary to confirm with person’s name before the next appointment. I did so the day before my January appointment, the woman on the phone confirmed my support person could come, and I went to my appointment today. The same woman at the front desk very rudely informed me that the note in my file meant nothing and that my person must leave. She could not have had a less sympathetic response after I did everything I was instructed to do to ensure what happened at the last visit, because of her, did not happen again. Here I am puffy faced, sweating, and going through the same thing I did last time because of the same woman at the desk in Carbondale. A provider at Heartland in Marion agreed to see me today, but all of this could have been avoided if the note had been respected and/or if the front desk woman was trained on how to speak to pregnant women. Not all medical reasons to need support can be seen. She didn’t see that she caused me to have a panic attack after leaving her office, but that’s what the note in my file was for. That’s why I called the day before. This experience with my first pregnancy at Heartland Women’s Healthcare has brought much unnecessary heartache.

I had an appt with Tressie and ended up with the student, Chasity and she was AMAZING!! i hope she starts working there when she’s done with school so i can have her as my regular provider!

Normally everyone is very nice, today, I had a nurse that was kinda rude with my mom and I.

Love Dr. Bishop as my Dr. Not long wait time. Very friendly staff. Clean nice offices.

Dr. Bishop was very knowledgeable and took time to sit and answer my questions. The rest of the staff was very nice and helpful. The wait time was a little long, but anyone who has been a patient of Dr. Bishops knows that he takes his time with all of his patients to make sure they have what they need and its totally worth the wait.

Every provider at Heartland that I’ve seen has been so caring and knowledgeable, and always takes the time to answer questions. The reception staff is sweet too!

Super nice facility and staff + Quest Diagnostics is a couple of doors down re: blood work : testing. I was greeted, treated with respect and everyone carried a super kind energy. Professionalism was at a high here and I’m glad to have found them.

I have SLE lupus, MS and endometriosis. Sometimes things get complicated and Dr. Nolen has always come to the rescue! She is truly a Godsend! The staff is efficient and polite. I would recommend them highly. Ty for a pleasant experience.

Dr. Bishop and his staff are truly amazing and wonderful at their jobs. They do truly care about the patients.

I love Dr. Bishop...however I did not appreciate being there 2 hours for a 5 minute exam. I understand he is busy but my time is as valuable as his.

Friendly staff and always courteous and polite and attentive. However, the longest wait times I have ever experienced. From reception to a room is super quick, but then it seems the doctor is always 45-60 minutes behind scheduling. I think its great they spend such time with their patients, but maybe they are just overscheduling? Something has got to happen though, because great OBs are getting a bad rep due to this.

Leslie King is amazing, she is one of the NP who work for them. She is nice, easy to talk to, and very informative.

I have been here over an hour now waiting to be seen by Dr. Bishop. The first appointment with him he was an 30 minutes late. He is now over an hour and still waiting. The nursing staff does not make rounds to let you know he is going to be late. There is no apology for it and no offer to reschedule either. This is unacceptable for a doctor to care so little about his patients time.

Worst experience Ive ever had at a Doctors office! Dr.Bishop was very rude and uncaring to my concerns. The lady who did my ultrasound was also very rude, didnt talk and at the end threw the towel on me and told me to wipe my gel off! I will not be seeing Dr.Bishop again. I dont see why he is so well liked!

I had a couple of bad experiences here. However, I decided to give them another chance. I called twice to follow up on something. Both times I was told they would follow up and get back to me. That was about a year ago and I have yet to hear from anyone.

Thank you so much HRMC in Carbondale and Dr. Carroll for seeing me under such short notice! The staff here was very caring, concerned and able to help me answer all of my questions!This is my first pregnancy and little bumps in the road can really scare a new mom-to-be! I love that they offer ultrasounds at each visit so we can check up on our little love!

It was sure nice of them to not tell me what and inner ultrasound was and just let me find out what it was, has the nures did one on me. Thanks for violating me, also i try to go through you guys but im pretty sure you didnt punish the nurse that violated me.

Dr. Bishop always takes the time to answer my questions and I never feel like he is rushing me out to move onto his next patient. Very compassionate and caring bedside manner.

Phenomenal staff and Doctor Bishop was amazing! Im quite certain very few others would have been able to believe my twins so seamlessly!
