Normally pretty good, just dont go to Oliver. Man cut my hair like it was 1950, humming along and chopping with a carefree spirit that hasnt been seen since the Golden Age of capitalism. Took literally 5 minutes.

I needed a trim because my regular hair cutter was unavailable. I just happened to be in this neighborhood so stopped in and they took me almost right away. Alan did my hair to specification and in a timely manner. He listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. Their prices are a little high for me, but Alan did not try to upsell me .

I am normally happy with my cut here but last time not so much.

I feel terrible. $9.99 for a haircut is criminal. These poor stylists. The poverty line in Santa Cruz county is $70k. That means each stylist would need to complete 19 hair cuts a day, 365 days a year, if the corporation made zero, just to meet the poverty threshold. Just another reason why this county is unsustainable...

Had to change this from 5 stars to 2. I came in today to get my hair touched up and got a very sloppy cut. I waiting for 30+ min (which I dont mind) and then got a rushed haircut with little hairs sticking out everywhere. Really disappointing. I thought this would be my regular place.

I just got my hair cut at Great Clips by the knowledgeable and competent stylist Lisa! She did a fabulous job and I will be back. She did exactly what I asked and did not use any artistic license as I have experienced in some of the more expensive salons.I highly recommend this place, and the best part is the price..17.00!!

Great Clips Capitols is a good hair shop. For a guy getting a flat top they do a good job. Some of the stylists are better than others. Senior price for haircut anytime is $15. I think non-senior price is $18.

The staff Is really awesome, they always make you feel welcome and are very cognizant of the online check-ins, they always do a great job with haircuts unless you give them the wrong instructions and are very patient. The only reason I didnt give a 5/5 Is because they can sometimes forget the measurements of your last haircut which really sucks if they did a great job previously, But seriously theyre a great group of people and one of the best things is that they are easy to talk to which I think other places can often lack.

I went in on Christmas Eve to get my 2 year old sons very first haircut and i was so nervous! Lisa was amazingly sweet and very kind to my boy. She gave him a lollipop and was super gentle with him. I call him lollipop boy because he had a lollipop in each hand to keep him still😂 it was an overload of cuteness! Thank you Lisa you are amazing and we hope to have you be his one and only hairstylist forever. His Big Boy haircut was perfect and exactly how we wanted it cut.I do wish the salon would carry babys first haircut certificates though but we will just buy one and take it back for Lisa to sign for us💛

I get pretty normal haircuts. This place is a good place to get my hair cut. The people working there are always pleasant. You can interact with them during the haircut, and can always take an active part in the hair-cutting procedure.

After the first stylist stated my haircut was too crazy for her I was pleased that someone in the salon was capable of doing a trim of my stlanted bob. That stylist did a great job and made me feel comfortable with her skills after I was ejected out of the other stylists seat.

No-frills cheap haircuts, just the way I like it. They store the last used clipper size on file, so you dont have to remember it for your next visit. If you check-in online youll probably be on top of the list when you arrive (although you might still have to wait a bit).

I dont remember her name but the lady had to cut my fussy 3 y/o sons hair and she did a great job getting him to relax and laugh. The other two ladies working would stop in the middle of their cuts and would make funny faces. Bad haircut or great, the environment they provided to my son made me happy when he got off the chair and that alone is a challenege. This is the first time of like 4 cuts he has had where he is smiling when we left.Oh, and mom liked his haircut so that was a plus.

I go here all the time and what puzzles me the most about this place is how many interpretations there are for a high fade. I literally am flipping a coin when I get my hair cut here because half the time its great and the other half of the time its terrible. Another thing that is puzzling is every time I come back (usually on the same day of the week at the same time) there are two people cutting hair who I have never seen before. I suppose the hair cutting profession lends itself to people moving around a bit. If you can cut hair, you can cut hair anywhere. Also, I guess I cant expect much from an $18 haircut, but my wife sure can tell the difference.

Very unhappy with the haircut I just got. I have a simple cut. I came in for a simple trim. I asked twice for something to be done and it didnt happen. Hairdresser seemed annoyed when I asked for more to be taken off. Cut came out very uneven, after asking for it to be even all around. My hairdresser didnt seem to care what I wanted and just wanted to get my hair done quickly. Ive never been so dissatisfied with a haircut before.

Yea Senior Tuesdays. In and out quickly. Dont often see the same hairstylist twice, but havent been disappointed yet.

Overall good experience. I didnt have an appointment (apoerently you can book online), but they saw me after a short wait. I also signed up for a rewards program. The salon was clean and had a friendly atmosphere. Best of all, the stylist did what I asked and I got the result I was after.

I always buy a discount card in the late fall so I get $10.99 haircuts. They are ready when I get there because I book through their app. They make notes in the computer so they cutter knows the style I want.

VERY DISPLEASED. I took my husband in for a haircut and the Asian hair dresser was doing his hair, very snappy towards my husband. Didnt brush the hair off, and didnt trim his sides like they always do previous times weve been here. This experience was the worst. And has lost this shop 2 customers. I reccomend you to crack the whip on your employees. Because this was an awful and rude experience and other customers should not have to experience what we just did, even if its the holidays. Youre getting paid to do what your customer would like. Not what YOU wana do...

I LOVE Great Clips. The stylists are all very nice, they log your haircut information so you dont have to explain your haircut every time, the prices are affordable, and their online check-in system works well, so you can actually plan on getting a haircut within a certain timeframe (unlike Supercuts). In fact, this place is SO much better than Supercuts in every regard that I doubt I will ever go there again. Great job, Great Clips!

I am appalled by the service my daughter & her friend received at this establishment! They went in for haircuts on Wednesday the 10th and my daughters friend was told that they saw lice eggs & she needed to get out of the chair immediately. She explained that she has Psoriasis & that she does get flakes a lot in her hair. The stylist didnt know what Psoriasis was. Once she got out of the chair, the stylist asked her co-worker to help disinfect the chair & such. They furiously worked to disinfect the area & then told her You need to leave altogether. You cant be in the salon.She was MORTIFIED!! As a 20 year old young girl, she didnt know how to handle it & went outside to cry. That night, we washed everything in the house & purchased all kinds of lice ridding chemicals. I took the next day off from work to deal with the situation.I checked her hair thoroughly & found nothing, but figured we should have a professional check her too. Turns out, she didnt have even a trace of lice. NOT A TRACE. It was the Psoriasis that the girl saw.I was very upset about how the situation was handled & how embarrassed they made her feel. They had absolutely no regard for her feelings.So, I sent a letter to corporate. They emailed back & said that the salon is a franchise & they would pass on my email to the owner. After not hearing from anyone, I decided to call the salon & get the name & email of the owner.A snippy little man named Sky answered & refused to give me the email address or phone number. He said Im the manager, so it would go through me anyway, so I told him the situation & how horribly this was handled & that I was very disappointed in the service & lack of knowledge on the stylists part.So, what did Sky say? Well, first he sighed, they he said Well, what do you want? How will you feel vindicated? in his snippy little sarcastic tone. I said You know what, Dude, Ill take care of the vindication myself. So I am going to place this review anywhere & everywhere that I can. This is a horrible establishment & it is managed by a VERY rude man. My daughters friend went to SuperCuts & got a great cut & the stylist actually knew the difference between Psoriasis & lice eggs!

Unbelievable lack of customer service. Extremely rude, unprofessional, with a lack of general haircut knowledge. On top of that they’re not loyal to their loyal customers. The hairstylist there are amateurs, rude and discriminatory, (I had the same experience as David‘s review below). I have a full head of hair and they seem to freak out and not know how to cut it - on top of that they don’t even know how to communicate the cut. At the end of the cut I had her cut a little bit more off on the sides and was debating about having even more cut off and she freaked out as if I called her first born ugly or something. In fact she humiliated and embarrassed me in front of a full store, “oh I remember you, you did this last time take a little bit off here or take a little bit off there.” I couldn’t believe it...Places like great clips like this only know how to do with they know how to do they can’t think outside of the box nor be truly professional, so know your limits before you go there. Lisa, The manager was especially rude, inconsiderate with the lack of integrity and compassion for her customers that have supported her for several years. But it’s kind of par for course for Santa Cruz attitude honestly.
