We were in space 9, late June. Due to poor drainage we had a mud puddle throughout our stay, also no cover for our picnic table. Other sites had less mud, nice covers. There are 2 entrances, if you book an exterior site use the second entrance. Bathrooms and shower were clean. Palo Duro is 5 star, Hackberry probably deserves more stars but walking in around in mud the two days we were here….

Beautiful campground with great shaded areas and great scenery they do have electricity and water and there is a convenient dump station as well. Its also right next to one of the better hike trailheads.

Nice views and hiking. Lots of Pitbull biting flys. We had a moderate rain overnight and had to use rubber crocs to hookup rv while wading in six inches of mud the next morning.

I have stayed here twice and we had an amazing time on both occasions. The location is perfect, the scenery is beautiful, and there is an abundance of nature that visits on a daily basis. We loved watching the large flocks of turkeys that come through morning and night, we saw deer almost daily, and a bobcat once while riding our bikes on a trail.

Has lots of trees, quiet, except for the occasional truck load of hooligans passing by, and the bathroom/shower is a walk (which I didnt mind) if youre campground is at either end of the loop.We were there during turkey mating season (end of March, first of April) and it was VERY entertaining!! Woke up every morning to the turkey calls!!Met lots of great people that use this park!

Sites have electric and water hook ups. A dump station is available. Bathhouse is clean but looking a little old. There are showers. It seems the views are better at the campgrounds farther into the park. The whole park is reservations only, so check before you go. Although when I was there, all sites showed full but only about half were actually being used.
