This was our first time at yogi bear and the kids loved it. We enjoyed having everything in one spot for the kids to enjoy. Definitely would like to come back next year. Staff was amazing lady at the front desk helped me with a promotional deal!My only complaint was the 2 bedroom cabin was dirty, within minutes of kids walking barefoot their feet were black. Counter tops were also dirty jusy a film over everything. Queen beds were very uncomfortable, twin beds were more firm and actually nicer to sleep in.Any familys planning a trip here bring cleaner, icy hot, and a box fan. Other than that we will be better prepared when coming back. Also will most likely get a cheaper cabin considering the obvious.

This place was amazing. It was our second trip here and we got to enjoy more of the fun stuff this time. The reason for the 4 star is because the food was horrible. I couldn’t even force myself to eat it. It tasted like they needed to change out the oil for the french fries. We ordered a couple meals and they were disgusting every time. We will absolutely still come back but make sure to bring more of our own food. The rock mining area was a hit with my son. Make sure to grab a bag of rocks for $5 from the ranger station and take it to the rock area.

Such a great experience! We stayed in a double cabin with two queen beds and two sets of bunks. Full kitchen and two full bathrooms was perfect! Water slides and water park area plus swimming pool were open most of the time. During the week the water slide area was closed. My advice is to do the scavenger hunt the first day because it helps you get to know where everything is. The dog park was perfectly clean but the gate wouldn’t stay shut on its own. The playground was it great shape. The people who ran the kids activities were FANTASTIC! We did spin art t-shirts, made volcanoes in the sand, laser tag for my oldest and my husband, and hey-hey ride for me and my littles. The peddle carts are HARD and they warned us. We lasted about 10 minutes and that was impressive. I won’t do those again. It would be better to take your own bikes. I went into the comfort station to change a diaper and it was super clean and updated! Great place to stay!

This location was perfect for our family getaway this year. We had a good time doing all the crafts they had available. The staff was great with our kids and even made some good local food recommendations. The water play area was clean and accommodated the whole family from the baby to the teenagers. There were a few small things that were disappointing about our stay but arent worth complaining about here. I try to take into consideration the difficulty businesses are having during this weird time of Covid being short staffed and limited on supplies. I would come back since it is only a few hours away from home and the because the staff made us feel welcome the whole time.

We LOVED our stay and would give a 5 star however, our welcoming, when we stopped by a week before, was FAR from friendly and informative. Seemed that every other minute within the same day, the price kept changing. At one point, my husband was told that if he would walk out the dor and come back kn a minute later We, the price would go up. We were told, VERY last minute, that there was a LOCK IN fee for rv spots that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever when you are paying ahead of time and in full, as we did. The 2 ladies at the park store were VERY sarcastic and passive aggressive when answering questions about the pricing. The only reason we went ahead and booked the 2 nights was because we had already promised our son that we would bring him there for the last weekend of summer. Our booking experience was BAD to say the least. The stay was wonderful. Aside from the 2 staff members that took our payment, the rest of the staff was very friendly, more than happy to help when help was needed and VERY welcoming. The tractor hay ride was a blast and the driver of the tractor was AMAZING, VERY friendly and SO very eager to entertain. LOVED HIM! To avoid the unwelcoming staff up front, I would NOT return to this specific location. We did not purchase a single souvenir to avoid having interaction with the 2, very rude, ladies in the shop.

My son and his family made a last-minute vacation trip to this park and they asked me to join them. I tried to do a 2 day or 1-day reservation but they were sold out of the lodge I wanted and they dont do one day. I get it to try to get two days or more stays however it was last minute. I was only able to visit for the day. Check-in was quick and the staff at the desk were very nice. The place looked very nice and my family had a great time.

Mattresses were old and surprisingly loud. We were directly across from the pool area. Which was cool but light beamed in through the gable windows and french doors. Gable windows had no blinds so it beamed into the loft sleeping area of the cabin. Living fold out sofa got the same light thought the French doors which had blinds but did not work. They were behind glass so the could only be lifted and lowered and the blinds stayed in the open position. Asked to change cabins since there was no one there. They said they would get back to me. They did not get back to me. All on all we had fun but the sleep was rough because of the accomodations. Lots of amenities but just run down a little.

Our check-in consisted of “here’s your key and packet, you know everything is closed right?”. The water zone did not open the entirety of our trip, even though the website said it would be. The posted hours for the outdoor pools were never followed, they closed at 5:00 every day. They attempted to close the indoor pool at 5:00 as well, until several of us pointed out that the website said 7:00. There were NO activities available during the entire stay. The mini golf was open, and the playground was open. Nothing else. The dining was only available for a short time every day, and could only be picked up. I could walk faster than my son was able to ride a pedal car. We had to fix the toilet seat in our cabin, the lock/handle on the bathroom door was broken, and we had to wash the dishes that were placed into the cabinets dirty. Neither of the air conditioning units were working correctly, every time we came back to our cabin it was hot. The Ranger Station only had the bare minimum of grocery supplies, so we ended up having to find the nearest grocery store in order to buy milk or anything larger than a 20 oz drink. This park has ruined our families view on Jellystone Parks, especially when my daughter wants to know why Yogi Bear won’t let her go on the slides or on a hay ride. We would have been better off staying anywhere else other than here.

If youre looking for a place to take your family this is the place, most staff are very helpful and friendly, could work on maintenance crews attitude they got one guy rolling around there on a golf cart that hates his job obviously. But yes over all nice place peaceful and early to bed and early to rise is their scheduling there. Place shuts down at 8 to 830 PM every day. And dont worry you should feel safe for as many laws that are in that area you should feel safe some do not. Too many, my honest opinion 🤔

When we checked in, we too got a very rote version of a welcome. Pointed out on a map where we were (office), where our cabin is located and here’s your key, wristbands must be worn at all times, have fun.We loved the setup of the cabins. Our grandsons went up to the left to explore their sleeping area and immediately called us up. There appeared to be chocolate all over both twin mattress covers. I called the front desk, they said they would send someone out to change them. Someone came shortly after the call. Around 10 pm when I went up to put the bedding on, I was dumbfounded by the fact that one chocolate stained mattress cover was replaced with another chocolate stained one. It was after hours at that point but I called and left a message for someone to call me the next morning. Never a return call. When we were preparing for grilling dinner , I opened up the grill only to find that someone had left a grill full of food. So I had to clean that up. I mentioned this to the front desk and said I don’t know what your. Leaning protocol is but…. Really no response. One of my grandchildren spilled something. When I cleaned it up, it was very apparent that the floor had not been mopped. It was very dirty! All of this was mentioned on our 2nd full day. The person seemed to be taking notes. She did say that was unacceptable but I never heard a word from anyone higher up than her.We checked out at approximately 10:45 (checkout is 11 am). My husband gave them the key, was told we were clear. No inquiry as to how the visit was, no come again. The day after we left around 3:15 I received a call asking if we were still on the property. I told them we checked at 10:45 the previous day and was told they do not have the key. I told them that was their problem because the key was turned in.Lastly, our grandsons loved Jellystone and want to go again but you can be guaranteed it will not be at the Hill Country location.Oh, and, When they called about the key, I asked that someone call me. Nope. Hasn’t happened. They have a real don’t care attitude. And, we were playing Candy Bar Bingo, the guy calling and another guy were carrying on a full conversation whole time.PS--Jellystone Hill Country, after reading my review, did compensate us for the issues we were having. Thank. you, Jellystone!

Overcrowded, impersonal, generic… not my cup of tea - at all. Sand volleyball is shallow and bottomed with concrete - kids (not just mine) kept getting hurt. Pools were way overcrowded. Golf equipment wasn’t cleaned between used or families. Just racked for the next to grab. Arcade has no cleaning supplies and I never saw anyone come in once to sanitize or clean anything. Activities aren’t listed anywhere visual for the kids, they have to use a device camera to scan a QR code to see what’s going on - I don’t want my kids on devices while camping! Put a flyer up each day with the days events please!Paid Double the price of staying on the actual river and have no idea why!

Very rude representative at office. I simply called to see how I would go about switching locations due to accidentally booking the wrong location. Instead of giving me any options she immediately canceled my reservation and charged me a $25 fee. I explained to her I didn’t want to cancel yet, I first wanted to see if it was possible to just switch locations. She said she already canceled and charge me $25 and there was nothing else she could do. Instead of getting an apology, she told me next time read all your disclosures before signing. She continued to speak over me, I then asked for her name and she hung up on me. My family and I will never be visiting this location due to the disrespect I received.

This is an awesome campground, especially if you’re looking for a place to hang out as a winter Texan. My 6 year old got to spend time with other full-time RV kids, and developed some friendships out on the playgrounds. The pools and other amenities were above average compared to other Jellystone parks I’ve visited, including several which are much more expensive than this particular one.I was also here during the deep freeze that happened in Winter 2021, and naturally was out of power and water for a few days while everything froze over. As everything thawed, I was impressed to find how promptly their team worked to get everything back on-track and working. They visited our lot, and ensured our spigot was working properly.Everyone on-staff was so, so friendly. We felt welcome from day-one, and when we left, several of them made a point to stop by and say goodbye. The only reason why I didn’t give a full 5 is because the laundry situation was frustrating. Most of the 4-months we spent there, several machines were constantly broken, and we had to deal with a fair amount of noise as they worked to construct some additions near our lot. Naturally, the latter is a temporary that others will benefit from.We will definitely consider this campground again should we make a return to the area next winter. Thanks everyone!

First trip to a Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Hill Country. I read the reviews about the cabins being dirty (not thoroughly clean especially with COVID-19 still happening) but I decided to go in with an open mind. Unfortunately the reviews were correct. The cleaning crew did a very basic cleaning job, if they even cleaned at all.  We had to clean everything again, including wiping down door handle, light switches, counters, tables, bunk beds. The toilet seats still had urine from the previous occupants, the floors needed to be swept and mopped. Considering the cost to book a vacation here, we expect a nicer cabin. Or at least one that was clean and sanitizedInstead of making a big deal of the dirty cabin and informing the front desk, we cleaned everything ourselves so that we could start our Labor Day weekend. The park was fun for the whole family. Lots of activities and fun things to keep the whole family entertained. The pool and water park area were a big hit for the kids and adults. Our children had a great time with the arts and crafts that were provided (at an extra cost). The bikes that are available for rent definitely need an upgrade, they are old and rusty. We rented 2 golf carts to get around but learned that cart pickup wasnt until Noon. We also rented a pool cabana and for the size and quality, it wasnt worth the cost. Might as well just sit under the shady trees. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin, although it states that up to 10 ppl fit, it was much too small for us 6 adults, 3 children and 1 toddler. The beds had a protective cover that created so much heat at night. The sofa bed was terrible, the only thing that made it tolerable was the fact that we took a bed foam topper. The AC worked well for the most part but it froze Sunday night and it was after hours so couldnt get anyone to come fit it. Thankfully it started working around 1am.My advice would be to try a different Jellystone Park. While the Hill Country didnt meet our expectations, we still made the best out of it and had a good family trip. Probably wont return to this location again but it was a good family adventure. The staff was friendly and doing their best..

This place is over rated and over priced. Apparently they open the water zone and all the other activities during peak season only. The cabin rent is crazy high during that time. This place is TINY.. definitely not worth $250 per night. We stayed a day or two before “peak season”. Pool was closed at 5 pm. The sun did not go down until 8:30 pm. It opens at 9 am but the staff starts cleaning it at 9 so you basically can’t use it for the first hour anyway. Very limited hours I would say. So basically for $165 a night we were able to use the playground which is smaller than out neighborhood playground, the pool (with very limited hours) and the jumping pillow.

We were a little upset because we were given our spot way in advance and were not told we were in a buddy spot! This means the camper next to us was facing us. So we were all like a foot away from complete strangers. We also have a 30ft trailer and it was very hard to get in and out of the spots because they were so close. We have been to Yogie parks before but this one was a disappointment. Plus the other people said they got $25 off a night because of the buddy spot! Not us!!

Small park, Hay ride only covers some of the park and not all, a lot of cabin campers and not a lot of RV spots. The grill and snack area for the pool area was not working when I asked multiply times the staff kept saying that they were trying to get ahold of a company but the company couldn’t tell them a time they would be able to come out??The night laser tag we tried to sign up and play for my 7yr old was not allowed we were told 8 or older, then 2 nights later our camping neighbors said 6 year old was able to play?? Jellystone I’m trying to give you more money and an age limit of 8 is most ridiculous thing ever, it’s a kid park no sixteen year old kid is going to play laser tag only small kids so maybe lower age requirment to 4?? You have lights and yes every kid will be accompanied by an adult. They are suppose to have WiFi and cable in the park but both very intermittent on working. It’s camping so I could care less for both of these personally but if they list them they need to work all the time. If Jellystone is charging for all these amenities and then they are not available or working then why was the nightly rate the same as if they were working? The location is great for doing other adventures but For the price I expect everything to work and in my opinion a lot other quality choices in that area for a slice of jelly stone price!! It’s almost like bc of the location they are trying to just get by with the Jellystone minimum requirements, every park besides this one I have seen great staff members and interaction with camping guest.

My three kids and I are driving over five hours to get there. However, since driving my son threw up and he’s running fever of 102.4 I called them to let them know hoping to reschedule for another weekend when he’s not sick. However Amanda informed me that she spoke to some Manager and if we do not come then we will LOOSE all money paid. They have NO EMPATHY OR COMPASSION. I am hoping that my son is only sick with a stomach bug or ate something bad and he’s not contagious. But in all reality I don’t know if he’s contagious or not. I am not a doctor and unfortunately if I take him to the doctor now I will loose my hard earned money. Any other hotel or campsite would reschedule the reservation instead of risking getting other guests sick. I will Never again make a reservation at this park who only cares about money. I have never in my life had a hotel or camp ground put money over guests safety and health. I recommend you spend your money at another place who puts guests health and safety first.

First time going to this park. Was very excited about the trip. Got there to a luck warm at best check in. The lady that checked me in asked if I had been there before to which I answered no. She handed me a key and a bag with a map and wristbands and said have fun. There was a young man checking others in … he was very personable and telling first timers all about the park. Then the key didn’t work. Went back to check in and asked if I had gone to the right place. She said yes. Dig around in a drawer full of keys and told me that was the only key to the room. Go back and I will sends someone over. So…. I went back and waited. Eventually someone came and said no the is the wrong key. Left and came back with the correct key.Ok… so here we go. Sunday night was fine. Monday was good. A little disappointed that no activities or characters there during the week… but overall good.Monday night the septic backed up in room beside ours and our plumbing quit working . Had maintenance guy there after very irate neighbor had loud words with them. They were much more concerned with the board members rooms.. and getting the board members situated. We had to walk to comfort station to potty, wash face, brush teeth etc. Monday night and Tuesday morning until it was fixed.(they worked on it the night before until midnight … which meant not much sleep).Tuesday we were not at property we went off sightseeing. We checked out the lady asked how our stay was. I told her about lake of indoor plumbing to which she replied… well come back again hopefully next time will be better! What!!!!I pai good money for a stay and expect to have plumbing that works. I am not sure just how often these cabins are cleaned and disinfected. This was our first family outing and I was thankful I had lysol and lysol wipes. The floors had to be swept...twice. The beds had soiled mattress covers and when I thought it might be better to just remove the cover and use my personal sheets....YIKES!! The mattress had a huge stain...several. I really hate to think of what happened. We were told upon check in there would be no wi-fi service because we were too far towards the back of the property to get a signal. 😕 I think that point should be mentioned on website. Oh and hope noone walks in on me while in the bathroom....the door does not lock nor stay closed. Only way to keep it closed is with the dustpan shoved underneath. Thank God I brought my own fan because we cannot turn the air down below 72 or the system will freeze. All I can say is thank God we got a discount because I would hate to pay full price. I still expected more for 270.00 a night. This is my observation upon my arrival. Maybe the resort and all the activities provided will make up for it...time will tell.

They never answer their phone and when they finally do they are so rude it’s unbelievable. Amanda was rude last night while I’m trying to get directions. Jill was rude this morning. Finally talked to a manager Erika who is the rudest of them all. She has no common curtesy or respect just a bad attitude and thinks she’s above all. When asked to speak to her manager Michael she is unsure when he’s available, won’t provide an email and won’t leave a message for him to call me back.

Rude staff and poor management! Beware this is a complete waste of your money and time because the activities are appealing but the staff makes you not even want to participate in the activities. Jill is the rudest staff with no common curtesy or respect. When presented with a problem she laughs about it.

This place is just okay. Its nice to be outdoors but still around playgrounds and the water park. For the price we paid per night I expected better cabins. The AC didnt work (it was so warm and humid) and it was dirty. Legit dirt on the floors and we noticed more when we had to clean up after we left. They clearly dont take their time tidying these places up. Food is pretty good, we got fried pickles, fried mozarella sticks and their pancake breakfast. Everyone was really kind and all events that included kids the employees were goofy and playful. Id probably return!

They do not care about COVID-19. If I cancel my reservation because my child has COVID-19 they will not refund my money. So instead we are going because I spent over $300 and don’t want to loose my money. I should never have to choose to infect other people but as a single parent I don’t have $300 to throw away either. It’s not my fault my child has COVID-19 but now a lot more people will have it including their staff who doesn’t care anyways.

Dirty cabins! Too much money spent for poor service and dirty bathrooms! Staff never has a manager and can’t do anything but get an attitude instead of helping to fix the problem.

Loved camping at Hill Country Jellystone. Very clean amenities and well taken care of. The kids enjoyed the activities, playground and lazer tag. We stayed in the red carpet site and it was very level and nice. We plan to come back!!

Nice park. Clean. Staff was fairly friendly. Staff wasnt as engaged as with the other Jellystone in Kerrville that weve visited (they were great). There were much more activities planned and executed in Kerrville so my expectations for activities for the kids was a bit too high for this park. Our visit was during spring break so it was early in the season. That may have been the difference?

Water Park was closed and it was not disclosed on the website before booking, no hay rides, no water fights, nearby restrooms were out of order, other bathrooms had no hot water, no compensation for inconveniences. We made the best of our time, but we had to travel offsite just to provide kids with activities to keep them busy.

We’ve been going to this location for the past 4 years. The cabins are rarely clean and need serious updates. Terrible service on the phone lines and even in person. We had a major issue this year with cabana booking, they never apologized but did offer us the two smaller cabanas in the back. However, my group was 30+ people so we chose to sit outside the cabanas and just use the umbrella tables so that we didn’t have to split up. They still charged me for the cabana and refuse to give our money back. They claim they saw us in the small cabana using it, but it was a family that snuck in and used it without asking or telling anyone. I called at least 6 times, sent 4 emails. Awful customer service. They aren’t being super strict with masks, and if the cabins are dirty, I doubt they are being well sanitized. Taking my big group to Kerrville next time. Their park is so much nicer! More to do, it’s on the river, my boys loved fishing there! And it’s much cleaner. Hope this review helps.

Jeanine at the front desk was really rude. This place doesnt provide toilet paper, paper towels nor trashbags. There was a younger lady at the front desk that was really sweet we had to add a few guests and she looked for a coupon and actually it didnt cost extra for them. Also she let us keep the golf cart and extra few hours which was very nice. You have to go sign in for a slot at the pool at 10am for a 2 hour slot. Believe me when I say nothing is early there. Everything opens exactly on time no matter how long the line is. You would think someone would greet you and say we will open in a few minutes please hang tight but no these rangers will just walk right pass you and not say a word to you not even hello. We had a great time at Guadalupe River tubing and Canyon Lake was beautiful clear water.

Really sad. We spent a lot of money and read the website but found upon arrival that so much of what they advertised was only open in the weekend. The pools water advertised open until 7 but they closed everything but mini golf at 5. So many families like ours just wandered around the park in the evening with nothing to do.

Ive been to this location about 8 times over 4 years. It was amazing when it opened, but they are not maintaining the grounds. My LAST THREE VISITS have had issues with the septic systems being backed up. Overflowing refuse. Overwhelmed staff. Underwhelming experience. Im done. Statistically you cant have this many poo problems if youre doing ANYTHING about it. The dog area is muddy (put down some mulch?). The rest is fine. Some staff is great, and some is downright bad.

First of all I called for pricing. 350ish dollars a night for a double cabin. I then talked to my family, we made a plan, then I called the next day to book and suddenly It was $400 a night. They said it’s flexible depending on how many people are looking, like plane tickets. OK fine. Then another 8.00 per night, per bed if we want sheets and towels. For a2 night stay, that’s another $100+! Then we get there and there is hardly any kitchen gear left from previous guests who take this and that. There are juice boxes under the bed And enough grime in the floor to make your feet black when we got there which tells you that nobody is cleaning this place between stays. There were bathtubs but no strippers for bathing the kids. Then you see that the grounds are packed with people. This place is less than 30 acres and every bit is packed with campers, cabins and tents. The neighbors were having a beer pong party till after 2:00 am despite the Rangers being called numerous times which tells you that they don’t enforce quiet hours rules. Burn ban in effect unless you want to have a fire anyway as they don’t enforce rules. The theme for the week was carnival. They set up 3-4 little carnival games up beside a tin building for an hour in the afternoon. That was all.Don’t expect to call the office and get someone to pick up the phone. It won’t happen. 90% of activities will cost you extra. All in all, I would say that for what I paid for this place, I could have stayed at a five star hotel and been pampered. We had a good time being together, but I will never stay at a yogi bear park again.

Our stay was amazing! This was our first time camping at Jellystone and Im beyond impressed. The park was kept immaculately clean and there were no shortage of friendly staff monitoring the grounds. I was concerned about camping so soon after the state reopened (COVID-19), but staff made sure that social distancing was observed without sacrificing any of the fun. The ranger station also had a lot of cute, moderately-priced merchandise. Already looking forward to our next stay!

*In response to Katherine Clancy*I was standing in line behind Miss C with my children. She did in fact wait for 20 minutes, however, it is because she showed up before the store opened. when she came back inside she waited no longer that 10 minutes. When she spoke to the manager she proceeded to cuss at her for no apparent reason. Me as well as my friend were extremely uncomfortable with her behavior. When she got to the front of the line she proceeded to tell the manager (who handled the situation PERFECTLY) that she was a terrible manager and used the F word multiple times. The manager was calm and gave her children a slot for laser tag. My friend and myself asked the other lady working in the store to not sign us up with her children. We saw Miss C throughout the park and she was nothing but disrespectful to all the campers. My children and I had a wonderful time and got to know a few of the workers. The cabins were OUTSTANDING. Constantly saw housekeeping asking if they could help out guests. Activities were AMAZING. A young lady (I believe her name was sara) was so so so nice to my children and was constantly engaging with all of the guests. The food was wonderful. When we checked out Jill helped us and was a very hard worker. overall our stay was 10/10 and we will be coming back. Only complaint is the lies put out by miss C

Lots of activities for kids, lots are included in the campground fees, some you pay extra for. Suggestion: have a flyer available for campers when they check-in with all the activities listed, times, location, and instructions. I liked the ability to book a time slot for the water park (no over-crowding). But was concerned however that although the indoor laser tag activity had listed that masks were mandatory, 2 boys were allowed to participate without wearing masks.
