Dr Weiner performed a 3 level acdf on me 4 years ago. His work was perfect, he took the time during surgery to be certain all bone spurs were taken care of. His bedside manner was superb. When I attempted to have a discussion about the continued pain and discomfort in my hands and arms he sat and listened and we came up with a plan of action. I highly recommend Dr Weiner.

I saw Dr. Weiner in 2016 for my cervical spine from a workers comp injury I suffered 14 years earlier. For some reason all he cared about is where I worked and then why I didnt. I told him i didnt know why it mattered Im here for my neck. He did not examine me he put my cervical MRI that was from 2005, when I just had a new MRI 2016 right before I saw him. I said I have the new reports with me he stating that he cannot look at them could only look at what sent to him. Instead of answering my questions he just left the room. He is very rude apparently he does not know how to talk to patients. And I also know two people that had a similar experience with him leaving them in tears.

I was recommended to come to Aultmans neurosurgeons office for my back issues. I saw Dr. Goel. He had my month old MRI I got before the appointment with him. He looked at it and said there was not any narrowing shown and I didnt need surgery. I must have looked shocked, he pointed to my film to show me and I said Ive had 2 back surgeons in NC ready to do back surgery for 4 yrs, but due to being my late husbands care giver I couldnt get it done.I had all my diagnostic paperwork about two buldging disc in L4&5, and a pinched nerve in S2. So I left, confused and in great pain. My chiropractor got me in to get a 2nd opinion. And Ill be have surgery soon. I can barely walk its so bad. Dont go to the people.

Do not go to Dr. Weiner if you want your opinion and questions as a patient to be valued. I was referred to Mark Weiner for a newly discovered herniated disc causing me nerve pain in my arm. He came highly recommend and his Google reviews were great. His office is nice, his staff was polite. I am very fortunate Dr. Weiner found I do not need surgery and hat my neck condition was not the cause of my pain. HOWEVER thats when it all went down hill. He used the exact words of Im not convinced, but I would say you have carpal tunnel. I would suggest wearing a brace and getting a cordiozon shot in your wrist today. I pointed out that I had an EMG test that tested for that and it came back negative. And told him I was confused because I had no pain, tingling or numbness in the bottom of my hand or wrist. Only pain exclusively in the top of my fingers, top of hand, top of my forearm and up my arm. When I said so I feel confused and dont know where to go from here he literally says VERY SARCASTICALLY I told you what 2 things you can do next, wear a brace and get a shot When I said I wasnt convinced I had carpal tunnel because my sympotms didnt align and my test results showed I was negative AND he himself said he wasnt even convinced. I told him I didnt feel comfortable getting a shot of something into my body for something he wasnt even sure I had. He became very annoyed and started listing off his resume of where he has worked and studied for 25 years that he was basing why he thought I had carpal tunnel and that if I was coming with a preconceived idea of what was wrong with me, why even come? He was being incredibly rude. As the patient I am allowed to ask questions and certainly say no to a treatment if I didnt feel comfortable. I went back to my family doctor who was stunned he suggested to treat it as carpal tunnel and give me a shot. Bottom line, Im sure Dr. Mark Weiner is very skilled as a surgeon, but that doesnt mean anything if you cant have a conversation with your patient.
